Wanting to make a positive change Max leaves Heaven for Earth. Doing so almost guarantees she won't be let back in but this doesn't deter her. Marked as Fallen, she sets out on her own path to become the best she can be. She always preferred the color black anyway.

This fanfic provides examples of:
- Adaptation Species Change: In Life is Strange, Max was just a normal, everyday human who suddenly manifests unexplained Time Master powers. Here, Max is an angel who's natural divine ability is the Time Rewind Mechanic, similar to Amenadiel's slow-time powers and Lucifer's Compelling Voice.
- Cool Big Sis:
- The Archangel Gabriel is this to Max, having been the one to give her her sword and offering her advice when she needed it.
- Gender-Inverted. While Lucifer is annoyed that Max didn't take his side during the rebellion and Max felt that Lucifer was a traitor, otherwise Lucifer gets along with her more than their other siblings.
- Fallen Angel: Since travel between worlds has to be sanctioned to only a few angels after Lucifer's failed rebellion, Max's decision to go to Earth is a permanent one, her lilac wings dyed black in the process.
- Guilt Complex: Max believes that she was on some level responsible for Lucifer's rebellion.
- Mundane Utility: When Max refuses to show Chloe (Decker) her wings, she and Lucifer go into an argument about being angels while Chloe is standing there, only for Max to reverse time and they pretend none of it ever happened.
- Older Than They Look: Being an angel, Max has existed since the dawn of time. She only looks like a teenager.
- One-Steve Limit: The love-interests in both Life Is Strange and Lucifer are both named "Chloe." Making a crossover for both of them will obviously create complications.
- Psychopomp: Before she fell to Earth, it was Max's job to take worthy souls to Heaven and accommodate them, just as she did Chloe Price's father William.
- Shout-Out: Max named her ten-inch, flower-engraved sword "vorpal blade." She has apparently been ribbed for it ever since she named it.
- Skewed Priorities: When Lucifer introduces Max to Chloe (Decker), he asks her to show her her wings to prove to her that he's the actual Devil. Max refuses, knowing that Chloe's mind wouldn't be able to handle direct exposure to them, she asks why he can't just show her his wings. He says that it's because he doesn't want her to think that he's "some run-of-the-mill angel and not the devil himself."
- Vitriolic Best Friends: Max and Mazikeen's dynamic operates like this, continuously messing with each other in various little ways.Mazikeen: [Slap] That's for sneaking up on me. [Slap] And that's for not paying me and Lucifer a visit.
Max: Look... [slap] Owww what was that one for!?
Mazikeen: I like slapping people in threes.
