- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Jaune and Pyrrha, Weiss and Ruby, and Yang and Blake do not become partners in this fic. Instead Ruby and Jaune, Pyrrha and Weiss, Yang and Dove, and Blake and Cardin become partners. This greatly changes their friendships and dynamics with each other.
- Ruby is much less dismissive and more impressed with Jaune. She intentionally seeks him out to become her partner.
- Pyrrha is disappointed Weiss Schnee is her partner. She's uncomfortable with the latter's tendency to put her on a pedestal rather than seeing her as a person.
