- Dead Guy Junior: Harry and Fleur name their daughter Katrina Delacour, after the former's dead best friend, Katie Bell.

- Dies Differently in Adaptation:
- Peter Pettigrew gets killed by Harry using the killing curse, and then has his body set on fire and left in the forbidden forest.
- Bellatrix Lestrange gets killed by Harry so that she can't reveal the prophecy to Voldemort.
- Remus Lupin gets killed by Fenrir Greyback after the former challenges the latter to a fight.
- Ted and Nymphadora Tonks. The former gets killed by Bellatrix, and the latter by Voldemort.
- Severus Snape has his wine poisoned with aconite by Harry.
- Albus Dumbledore gets killed by Harry using a sherbet lemon sweet wrapper with a Withering Curse added to it.
- Sirius Black gets killed as he's climbing out of the Chamber of Secrets by Hermione using the 'Sectumsempra' spell.
- Voldemort gets overrun by aurors and hit-wizards during the Battle at Hogwarts after all his horcruxes have been destroyed.
- The Dreaded: Harry becomes this for the Death Eaters over the course of the story after he starts killing them off one by one.
- Friendless Background: Both Harry and Fleur. The former because of Dudley chasing off anyone that tried to get close to him, and the latter because she's a Veela.
- The Glasses Gotta Go: Harry uses a blood magic ritual to fix his eyesight, as he's told his glasses could easily be exploited by an unscrupulous foe.
- Internal Reveal: Unlike in canon, Harry doesn't actually take the fake locket from the cave with him, instead choosing to burn it with fiendfyre from afar. This means he doesn't know it was a fake until the Battle of Hogwarts, when he finds the real locket hanging around the neck of a dead Hermione, who received it as a gift from Ron Weasley after he found it at Grimmauld Place.
- Mentor Archetype: The portrait of Salazar Slytherin in the Chamber of Secrets mentors both Harry Potter, and Tom Riddle before him.
- Necromancer:
- The Death Eater, Travers, has a creepy collection of little girl inferi. They all get destroyed right before Travers himself is killed by Harry.
- Grise specialises in Necromancy, and has used it on multiple occasions during missions for Les Inconnus.
- Rejected Apology: Harry rejects the apologies from both Ron and Hermione. The former for abandoning him after thinking he entered his own name into the Goblet of Fire, and the latter for accidentally breaking his wand.
- Rejected Marriage Proposal: Walburga Black's portrait of all things offers Harry the chance to be the head of the Black family, but in exchange he has to marry Nymphadora Tonks, who is the only unmarried female available from the Black family, and produce pureblooded children. Harry declines.
- Running Gag: Gabrielle's "veela harem/veela bond" jokes.
- Secret Identity:
- Harry Potter uses a few after "dying" at the end of A Cadmean Victory. There's Henri Decolmar, who becomes Henri Delacour after marrying Fleur. He goes by the name Henri Dufort who in turn uses the codename Violette when working for Les Inconnus. He goes by the name Thomas Gaunt who in turn uses the codename Lemon Sorbet when working for the Unspeakables. After accidentally murdering Fleur and in turn abandoning all his previous identities, he starts going by the name Mithras.
- The member of Les Inconnus, Vert, is actually Liliana Lestrange. A member of the French branch of the Lestrange family, and also one of Grindelwald's followers before she turned against him and joined Les Inconnus.
- Secret Legacy: Harry actually is a descendant of Salazar Slytherin through a bastard son between Selena Slytherin (who died in childbirth) and an unnamed Potter. The child was then quietly adopted into the Potter family.
- Speaks Fluent Animal: Tom Riddle (Voldemort) and Harry Potter can speak parseltongue through their Slytherin lineage.
