Zeta Fighters is a Gundam Build Fighters Try/Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam crossover by Warmachine 375.
When testing out a new Gunpla Battle simulation system at the Nielsen Labs, Sekai and his friends ended up in another universe where the Gryps Conflict occurred. Stuck in the Zeta era of Gundam Universal Century, they have to fight and survive on the now all too real war, and find a way back home no matter what.

This fanfic provides examples of:
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: Sekai's Build Burning Gundam was customized with Exia's main GN Blade weapon and it easily cut through Psycho Gundam's tough armor, shocking Four Murasame and amazes Kamille Bidan.
- Ace Custom:
- The Try Fighters have customized their Gunpla with new additions such as GN Drives prior to being transported to the Universal Century.
- Averted for Shia as she repaired her G-Portent and didn't add anything to her Gunpla.
- Adaptational Badass: Try Fighters have made some upgrades or changes to their Gunpla before they were Trapped in Another World:
- Sekai's Build Burning Gundam possessed a GN Drive and the arsenal of Exia from beam sabers to the GN Sword that he used in conjunction with his Jigen Haoryu Fighting Style.
- Fumina's Star Winning Gundam is no longer an SD but a permanent Real Type with a GN Drive albeit at the cost of unable to transform into a fighter mode. It was compensated with her Winning Beam that became a lot stronger and her Star Funnels.
- Yuuma's Lightning Raphael Gundam has 3 GN Drives (one at the back and two at the backpack of the Gundam) and it can transform into a fighter mode.
- Alphabet News Network: The TNN stands for Terra News Network in this story.
- Benevolent A.I.: Varia, the Quasi-Veda is this as she offered aid to Sekai and his friends as their tactical forecaster to survive the Gryps Conflict. She was modeled after the A.I. iteration of Sumeragi Lee Noriega.
- Blatant Lies: To try keep Hathaway from wanting to be a mobile suit pilot, Amuro claims that he needs to get a degree. Which Hayato Kobayashi and Kamille Bidan internally call it BS.
- Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: After modifying their Gunplas, Sekai's Build Burning Gundam has blue particles, Fumina's Star Winning Gundam has yellow particles, and Yuuma's Lightning Raphael Gundam has purple particles, while Shia's G-Portent has green particles.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Thanks to their Gunpla-turned-Gundams possessing the GN Drives, this happens:
- Sekai's Build Burning Gundam made a punching bag out of the Psycho Gundam of Four Murasame, the same gigantic Mobile Armor that forced Kamille's Gundam Mark II on the ropes in the show. Yuuma's Lightning Raphael Gundam was able to penetrate the Psycho Gundam's armor with its beam weapons. Four barely managed to survive by landing a lucky kick on Sekai, sending him flying and forcing Yuuma to help him.
- Fumina's Star Winning Gundam easily takes down the Psycho Gundam of Four Murasame with a Winning Beam attack, and later Shia's G-Portent singlehandedly shot down a squadron of Titans Hi-Zacks before they even engage her.
- Doppelgänger Gets Same Sentiment: Mr. Ral and Mrs. Hamon are worried of being on the receiving end of this by Amuro Ray and Char Aznable in his Quattro Bajeena persona due to strongly resembling the deceased Ramba Ral and Crowley Hamon.
- Dramatic Irony:
- Amuro Ray did not know how right he was about Sekai and his friends using their Gundams as toys as he believed that they were just poorly trained and poorly disciplined in using mobile suits instead.
- Mirai Noa doesn't believe that her son Hathaway would have a potential to be a mobile suit pilot and a military commander like his father Bright Noa.
- Entertainingly Wrong:
- When four new advanced looking Gundams appear in New Hong Kong, Karaba and the Titans assume that they were made by Anaheim Electronics.
- Which Kamille Bidan believe that the Lightning Raphael Gundam is a prototype for his upcoming Zeta Gundam that was used for field testing to gather more data.
- Expy: Donny Burgundy and Kate Rockwell of Terra News Network (TNN) are this from StarCraft II, reporting the aftermath of the destructive battle and laying the blame on the AEUG.
- Failed a Spot Check: Adam Winslow's failure to see if his ZERO System had any suspicious alterations from Daryl Lancer is the reason why Sekai and his friends ended up in the world of Universal Century.
- Identical Stranger: Mr. Ral and Mrs. Hamon are both very identical to Ramba Ral and Crowley Hamon. This worries the two because their similar appearances would make them be assumed as the same individuals in Universal Century.
- I'm Standing Right Here: Kamille calls out Fumina and Shia that it's rude to talk to each other as if he's not standing in front of them. Which shocks Fumina who, at the time, thought that the simulation would be very realistic.
- I Never Told You My Name: Kamille says this in verbatim when Fumina address him by his name as if she knew him. Shia is quick to answer that his name became known for his defiance against the Titans.
- Ironic Echo: Mr. Ral recites his speech to Reiji back when he explained the young man about Gunpla Battle being played for fun and games to take it seriously before slumping down about the cruel reality of the fact he and Mrs. Hamon had to take it seriously in ensuring the survival of the kids and themselves in the Universal Century.
- My God, What Have I Done?:
- Adam Winslow does this when he unknowingly transported Sekai and his friends and their two adult supervisors to the world of Universal Century.
- Shia did not take the revelation well that not only she can't see Wilfrid Kijima, Saga Adou and her uncle Allan Adams, she actually killed real people when she shot down the Titans mobile suit squadron. It drove her to Tears of Remorse and repeatedly mutters, "I didn't mean to..."
- Mythology Gag:
- To Mobile Suit Gundam:
- Like Mr. Ral who resembles Ramba Ral, Mrs. Hamon shares a resemblance with Crowley Hamon and like the two, they're a loving couple.
- Yuuma references the "Char Kick" after witnessing the Psycho Gundam punting the Build Burning Gundam through several buildings.
- To Mobile Suit Gundam 00:
- Like Celestial Being, there are about four Gundams with GN Drives and Shia jokingly states that she and Try Fighters must commit an armed intervention.
- Varia is the tactical forecaster just like her human counterpart Sumeragi Lee Noriega she was based from.
- To Mobile Suit Gundam:
- Not a Game: That's what Amuro Ray saw from his point of view at the new Gundams piloted by children at New Hong Kong, comparing them to be playing giant robots as toys.
- Original Character:
- Mrs. Hamon is this as she's the wife of Mr. Ral and a member of the International Gunpla Battle Official Referees nicknamed as the "Gunpla Police" that dealt with the Gunpla Mafia. Like Mr. Ral who shares resemblance with Ramba Ral, Mrs. Hamon shares the resemblance with Crowley Hamon.
- Shout-Out:
- Adam Winslow is this to Eyes in Seed where he's the main character who was trapped in Cosmic Era universe with the ZERO System he tested on himself. Here, he unwittingly trapped Sekai and his friends in the UC universe when testing the ZERO System on them.
- Daryl Lancer/Chronicle Bringer is this to Meister Of Your Future Chronicles where he's the main character who deliberately transported himself to Anno Domini universe with the ZERO System to make a fresh start after living out his years of Gunpla Mafia enforcer. Here, he was defeated and apprehended by Mrs. Hamon from the Gunpla Police.
- Varia, the Quasi-Veda is this as well as she was supposed to be Daryl/Chronicle's A.I. assistant when he transported himself and the Dark Veil ship to Anno Domini universe but Mrs. Hamon put an end to his scheme. Instead, Varia ends up as part of the Dark Veil being remodeled into White Base and offers to aid Sekai and his friends as their tactical forecaster.
- The real names of Mr. Ral and Mrs. Hamon are Masashi Hōki and Lenore Hōki with her maiden name is Schuckman; a nod to Masashi Hirose, the Japanese voice actor of Ramba Ral from Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Build Fighters and Katsuhisa Hōki who voiced the aforementioned character in Gundam Build Fighters Try (Episodes 5-25 after Masashi Hirose stepped down from the role), and Lenore Zann from Mobile Suit Gundam and Amanda Schuckman from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin; both of them as English voice actresses of Crowley Hamon.
- Stage Names: Mr. Ral and Mrs. Hamon are revealed to be this for their real names are Masashi Hōki and Lenore Hōki. The couple used the stage names which works in conjunction of their identical appearances of Ramba Ral and Crowley Hamon.
- The Stool Pigeon: Aaron Weber is this as he had contacted Mrs. Hamon and her fellow Gunpla Police where Daryl Lancer is hiding, which they had him cornered, defeated by Mrs. Hamon in Gunpla Battle that Aaron set it up and then arrested in his defeat.
- Trapped in Another World: This happens to Sekai Kamiki and his friends Fumina Hoshino, Yuuma Kousaka and Shia Kijima and their adult supervisors, Mr. Ral and his wife Mrs. Hamon, ending up in Universal Century where the Gryps War occurred.
- The Worf Effect: The Psycho Gundam suffers this at the hands of Sekai and his friends' Gunplas-turned-real-Gundams with GN Drives, shocking the Titans and the heroes of Zeta Gundam of the power of the unknown party's mobile suits.
