- Laser-Guided Amnesia: There's a ward around Winslow, related to some dark miasma on the grounds. One way it seems to keep it secret is with this. Blackwell is using it in a plan to resurrect her son.
- One-Gender Race: Succubi are all female, hence why Lustrum was interested and had Annette summoned.
- Ship Tease: There's some hints of chemistry between Taylor and Panacea, and the latter asks the former on a date eventually.
- Simplified Spellcasting: With practice, a mage can use a spell with less and fewer runes, to the point that they'll be able to use their most common spells without any.
- Slave Race: Succubi were modified from humans that were kidnapped by a god to serve as a Sex Slave race, only to rise up and kill him, which is where they apparently got their more demonic features.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: As a succubus, Taylor can alter her appearance in various ways, which she uses for such pragmatic purposes as fitting into a tight pair of jeans. After being caught up in Blackwell's ritual, Sophia gains the ability to turn into a Displacer Beast, a six legged panther-like creature with a pair of grasper tentacles from DnD. She can also grow an extra pair of arms in her human form.
