The Return of LJN contains examples of:
- Big Bad: Fred Fucks returns, and is trying to release an HD Collection of every NES game LJN made for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
- Video Game Remake: In-universe, the PSP Space Adventure game is a remake of a scrapped Virtual Boy game of that film series.
- Sickeningly Sweethearts: Phineas and Isabella.
