Go To

It was a time of crisis. Vines were covering equestria and Twilight and her friends needed to save it by giving up the elements. Meanwhile, in another dimension, Steven was trying to help Amythyst get her gem fixed. However, then a mischievous Trickster God named Discord decided to mess around a bit, and sent those little ponies to Beach City. Little did anyone know that by coming to visit, that chaos god would unleash grand adventures, buried secrets, and a journey that nobody would've suspected.

My Little Universe is an EPIC Crossover fanfic where the Mane 6 meet The Crystal Gems. But the universes are much bigger than expected, and the conspiracies and dangers of the world are going to go far deeper than what canon might indicate. A 12 part epic.

Part 1: Season 1. The Ponies and Gems begin to acquaint with each other, and the family begins growing.
Part 2: Season 2. Garnet gets a vision to change everything, and so Ponies and Gems begin work to go to Homeworld to broker a truce.
Part 3: Mindwarp. A side story where the gems and ponies need to save Steven from his own mind.
Part 4: Season 3. A more Slice of Life arc where everyone recovers from the epic fight on Homeworld.
Part 5: Season 4. While growing in an anniversary of knowing each other, a greater challenge from the past is looming on the Horizon.
Part 6: Season 5. A more Earthbound arc, dealing with The Cluster and Malechite Arcs while Amethyst, Steven and Connie work to reconcile a rough patch with each other.
Part 7: Anarchy. Supplementary Story dealing with an adventure against Holly Blue.
Part 8: Season 6. An ordinary visit to Homeworld takes a new turn on finding some Off Colors, leading into a more sinister twist on the story of the shattering.
Part 9: Season 7. Escaping from the revelations last season, the Gems and ponies try to settle down, only to instead be torn apart by a new secret.
Part 10: Supernova. After 5 years of portal hopping, a great magical Everstorm will ravage both worlds for a while so the magic can stabilize itself. But in that time, great and terrible changes will happen for the people and ponies of both lands.
Part 11: Season 8. After the Everstorm, it's time to finally tie up a loose end. But in tying up one story, an even more malicious evil is about to send everything they've worked for into chaos.
Part 12: My Little Universe II. After all this time, and all the struggle, friends and stories told, the Gems and Ponies have some work to do to finally find their happily ever after.

As a show of the author's labor of love, this also has its own Fan wiki site too!

Spoilers are open through Book 6, excluding any major spoilers.

Major Series Tropes include...

  • Acceptable Breaks from Canon: This story was started mid story for both Steven Universe and FIM. So, there were several aspects of later developments that were unknown before starting, such as the characterization of Blue Diamond, or the fact that Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond were the same that had to either be written around or discarded as part of having their conflicting visions mesh.
  • Adaptation Expansion:
    • Blue Diamond and her pearl get their own miniature arc where we find out that Blue with her grief is more sentimental and attached to her subjects than mere tools, giving both a bit more personality to work with.
    • Here, we find out the gems Fluorite is composed of: 3 peridots, a pearl, a sapphire and a new gem Anatase.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Due to a shuffling of the story, the diamond authority actually is turned around relatively well in the first half of the story, making them if not allies, at least fair weather friends.
    • Lapis, thanks to some travels in Pony World, actually decides to stick around more regularly, carrying on more heroic actions, and even gets a Significant Wardrobe Shift to highlight how much closer she is to the Crystal Gems.
  • Adaptational Name Change: While the Crystal Gems were always a thing in the past, with the ponies now helping out, they're now The Harmony Gems.
  • Adaptational Personality Change
    • Pink Diamond had her problems with The Reveal of her true nature in Steven's canon. Here, while much of the base story is similar, she's given a more forceful and responsible personality.
    • Blue Diamond is a little more gentle and caring compared to being depressed in characterization.
  • Arc Villain: Rather than having a overall villain, instead there's usually Arc Villains for the different stories.
    • Sombra and Tirek for My Little Universe.
    • The Oscone for Season 2.
    • Starlight Glimmer and White Diamond for Season 4
    • Malechite and Grootslang for Season 5.
    • White Diamond returns as the main villain for Season 6.
    • The Pony of Shadows, The Changelings and White Diamond is working in the background of Season 7.
    • Grogar in season 8 and the finale arcs.
  • Body Horror: Sessile was a Jade before she ran afoul of the Homeworld hierarchy. Then they bent her gem so that she only can manifest as a warped Statue which can only move her arms.
  • Calling the Old Woman Out: In this story, Steven finds out about his mom being Pink Diamond before creating her in The Room. With that new information, he's much more harsh and angry at her for lying than just her supposed killing.
  • Completed Fic: After a long ride, the story has finally concluded.
  • Creepy Good: Star Quartz is the youngest gem (created DURING the story), and without any inherent purpose assigned to her at planting, she's almost like a ghost rather than having the regular energy of most gems. Still, she's nothing but a gentle soul.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: White Diamond using a gem destabilizer on herself to "be better". Not only was it dangerous, but it also caused a shift in her personality. Perhaps reminiscent of self-harm?
    • Steven and Connie trying to explain Fusion Dance to Connie's parents is all kinds of awkward, since it almost sounds like G-Rated Sex at first to the parents.
  • Don't Fear the Reaper: The Grim Reaper of this world is also called Red Diamond. And despite being pretty intimidating, it's actually a pretty compassionate being with an idea to help life by providing guidance to some lost souls.
  • Expy: The Red Diamond is referred to as a mythical being. But in her appearances, it's quite clear that above all she's The Grim Reaper of gems.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: White Diamond serves as this for the majority of the story. As her actions influenced far more of the gem world story than might be expected.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Steven obviously. However, in this story, fusing actually effects Connie as well, so that by Season 6, she's now partially gem too, with some...unique characteristics.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Flint is a grumpy, untrusting gem, but still has enough decency to do the right thing when pushed.
  • Original Character: WAAAYYY more than before. The Crystal Gems of this story has a whole host of original characters added to the mix.
  • Serial Escalation: from dealing with some world hopping and personal problems to arguing with GODS about morality.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Season 2 New Light: after looking through her future Vision, Garnet has a new objective for the Crystal Gems. An intentional visit to Homeworld to make peace between them and the diamonds.
    • Season 4 The Albino Diamond: White Diamond makes her appearance "early", The harmony Gems find out about Pink's shattering, and Lapis and Jasper again fuse, but this time it's Jasper's way to protect the others from Lapis's feral form.
    • Supernova Chapter 2: Equestria is forced into taking refuge in a foreign kingdom during the Everstorm. But during the struggle of survival, Celestia gives up her life to a wild animal.
    • My Little Universe II Friends and Enemies: Spinel (the one from the movie) arrives on earth, and in the mess of her arrival, over half the original gems are poofed with a destabilizer.
  • Worldbuilding: Besides the usual gem and pony adventures, there are apparently several gods around that also add to the world as well.
