Artmeis eyes flashed. “FUCK THOU!” She yelled.

Moon Daughter is a So Bad, It's Good Percy Jackson and the Olympians fanfic by xxMoonlitexx, otherwise known simply as Hanna. The first chapter was posted on August 1st, 2013, and the 72nd and final chapter was posted on November 20, 2014.

The author's summary: "Flavia a beautiful demigod was in love with Luke but now she discovers she is the only daughter of Artemis in Camp Half Blood! And she must go on a quest to find Artemis so she can be and hunteress, because she can't stay at Camp Half Blood any longer because she is bullied by Annbeth and the other deimgods and Chiron says the prophecy says she must leave before more people die!"

The first half of the plot consists of Flavia fighting Kornos and dealing with a Love Dodecahedron, and the second half involves her attempt to complete the twelve labors of Hercules so she can become a goddess.

It has been described by several reviewers as the My Immortal of the Percy Jackson fandom, and shares some similarities, including a hatred of "preps" and a tendency to over-describe clothing. A completed spork can be found here[1]; there is also a complete Dramatic Reading here [2].

On February 7, 2015 Hanna posted a sequel called "Moon Daughter 2: Rise of a Godess," found here. Flavia returns to Camp Half Blood on her honeymoon, where she discovers a plot to open the Doors of Death and De-power the gods. After tragedy strikes, Flavia goes on a quest for the Golden Fleece, which can be used to restore the powers of the gods. However, things get weird when Frank sues her, leading to Flavia suffering a Heroic BSoD and using the Golden Fleece on herself. Unfortunately, this disrupts the Balance of the Universe, Matt, and threatens to bring about Ragnarock.

Hanna is also the author of the similarly bad Marvel Cinematic Universe fanfic Evva: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D..

    Moon Daughter
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Nico is canonically gay, yet in this fanfic he is straight in order for the author to pair him with Flavia. Though, to be fair, this story started slightly before House Of Hades, and the revelation of his sexuality might very well be why he doesn't appear in later chapters.
  • Alpha Bitch: Annabeth is portrayed as this.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: "She saw....Mr. D. looking at child pr0n! ON CHIRON'S COMPUTER!"
  • Artistic License – Biology:
    • Flavia apparently thinks you lose your virginity by kissing.
    • Artemis is still a virgin after having Flavia, though this one is justified in canon - Athena had many virgin births, being, y'know, a goddess. Of course, those were predicated on her falling in love with her child's father (see Annabeth, who was conceived this way), while Artemis seems to be both asexual and aromantic...
    • "I kicked him in teh cocanuts so he could never conceve."
    • "With teh strangth of Arres an the wisdom of Artmeis I reached into his heart an took off his sternum an I hit him on teh head with the sternum an he was knocked inconsious."
  • Author Avatar: Flavia.
  • Author Filibuster: The author really, really hates "preps," "blondes," and "polusion". And coach purses.
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: Bronies are all secretly members of the "Futtershy Mystry Brother Hood," an ancient religion dedicated to pacifism.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall:
    • "It was Sick and wrong and you should never do this, ever!"
    • When Flavia finds the word of death, she can't say what it is because "its too powerful for you to know."
  • Butt-Monkey: Ivy and Frank. Alabaster also starts out as this, with random gods commenting on what a "miserbael loser" he is and refusing to give him any gifts.
  • Celibate Hero: Flavia alternates between claiming to be this and making out with guys because she doesn't care.
  • Malaproper: Flavia "castigates" a minotaur. Also, she must "deduce" Cupid.
  • Medium Awareness: Characters are sometimes described as "walking onto the screen," and at one point Flavia drives her motorcycle off "into the background."
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Flavia bribes the Amazons with the "ultamute weapon"...a Hot Topic gift card. She even does it in "bad ass slowmo."
  • Never Trust a Title:
    • Chapter 57 is called "Death in the Courtroom." No one dies.
    • Chapter 67 is called "Jason Dies". He doesn't.
  • No Indoor Voice: Flavia is constantly yelling, shouting, and screaming her dialogue.
  • Not Always Evil: In the beginning of the fic, Flavia believes monsters are "actually misunderstood" and doesn't kill them because of this. In a few chapters, though, she's forgotten about this and kills them left and right.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: "Empusas" (empousae). When Flavia gets bitten by one, she gets vampire-like fangs and the ability to suck others' powers into herself through biting.
  • Out of Character: Everyone. Annabeth is a bullying "prep" who listens to 1D, Percy smokes pot and cheats on Annabeth, Chiron is an Emo Teen, Mr. D is a pedophile, Kronos shops Hot Topic, and Jason is a brony.

Moon Daughter 2: Rise of a Godess
  • Apocalypse Maiden: Flavia becomes this when she kills the Egyptian pantheon because, according to the Book of Amen Ra, "Whosumever kills the gods of Egypt an kick there asses in fare battle, thou must know thou has doomed the universe cause the ballance of Matt hathe been messed up...Thus spuck Amen Ra. The end." Unlike most versions of this trope, Flavia is perfectly fine with it, reasoning that if the world ends, she will rise from the ashes as the final, all-powerful goddess.
  • Artistic License – Biology: Flavia apparently has a gestation period of one day.
  • Back from the Dead: Octavius, Piper, and presumably all the other dead characters except Kronos, due to the opening of the Doors of Death.
  • Creator In-Joke: "Note, the Squirrel will understand this joke if she reads it"
  • De-power: This happens to all the Greek gods and goddesses except Flavia.
  • Evil All Along: Luke was manipulating Flavia the entire time. He pretended to be in love with her so when she became the final goddess she would make him immortal, after which he would trap her in "a cave or mummy box" and rule the world himself.
  • G-Rated Sex: The author attempts this.
"We...did it! Also our hearts were tined with love but Im keepin this teen rated like "Pg 13" so thats all you will ever know about it"
  • Living Lie Detector: Flavia gains this power when she becomes a goddess.
  • Medium Awareness: "Its in LA, didnt u even read the books" Although this might be because Hanna identifies with Flavia to the point of forgetting if she is speaking as the author or character.
  • No Endor Holocaust: Flavia uses her "godful glow" to melt all the snow and ice in Antarctica, apparently with no effects to ocean levels.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted when the mythological Jason shows up to challenge Flavia for the Golden Fleece. Flavia promptly renames him Jason 2.
  • Polyamory: Flavia and Alabaster have an open marriage.
  • Princess Classic: Madea, Princess of the Golden Fleece Island, is describes as a "plastick bitch" with blond hair, blue eyes, and a "pfufly" pink dress.
  • Shout-Out: "Cruxus," the "word of pain spell," sounds familiar.
  • Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: Albaster gets this treatment.
  • Unusual Euphemism: Osiris's...mummy stick.
