Shinsou Hitoshi wants to be a hero, but with his quirk, all anyone sees in him is a villain. But maybe that can be put to good use.
Nedzu knows there's a traitor in his school, but not how to find them. Instead, he hopes he can get them to reveal themself. For that, he recruits Shinsou to be the linchpin of his plan: Shinsou must pretend to be what people already think he is; he must pretend to be a delinquent, a villain in the making, and he must pretend so well that the League Of Villain's spy will try to recruit him.
It works. Far too well.

- Struggling Single Mother: Shinsou Haru has to contend with being a single mother to a son suffering from societal discrimination before the start of this story. During it, she has to contend with her son seemingly becoming a delinquent, then finding out he's deliberately trying to draw the attention of criminals, and finally him seemingly joining those criminals, while knowing that he could be killed at any moment and she'd never know.
- Then Let Me Be Evil: Subverted; Shinsou pretends to be this to those who knew him, like Izuku, but it's all an act.
