Justice League of Equestria: Gods and Monsters is a crossover between My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Justice League: Gods and Monsters written by both Alphamon_Ouryuken and Vampdash.

You all know the stories. Supermare, the Mare of Steel who would fight evil forces such as the diabolical Braniac. Batmare, the Dark Knight who fights the insane Joker. Wonder Mare, the Amazon who seeks to know what it's like in Stallion's World. You think you know the stories..... but these are not the ones you may remember.

The story centers around the mane cast of MLP as the iconic DC cast. But unlike the original series, many other characters are brought into the story and more of the world is expanded upon. Such as the fates of certain would-be villains or heroes.

The story can be read on FIMfiction.

This story provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Heroism: Certain villainous characters are given more heroic personalities, for example:
    • Toyman & The Trickster(Button Mash and his mother). Who are basically Anti-Heroes out for revenge and aren't interested in committing crimes unless they somehow hurt Black Mask’s business. When Black Mask is finally killed they retire, steal all of his money and relocate to another city.
    • Black Manta(Featherweight), who is actually Atlantis’ ambassador.
    • While The Black Racer was never a villain to begin with in this version the Racer is The Flash via using Gilda's body after the coup on Apokalips in which the New Gods killed it's physical body there.
  • Adaptational Villainy: The Doom Patrol somewhat fulfills this trope by serving Kobra, though not entirely, while Mento and Elastmare are genuinely evil, Robotmare, Nega-Stallion, & Beast Boy only serve the organization out of necessity, and immediately betray them the second they get the chance.
  • Anti-Hero: The Justice League will go out of their way to save lives and stop criminals, but they're more than ready to kill if the situation calls for it
  • Asshole Victim: No one really cares when Black Mask is killed.
    • The most anyone has to say to Mento & Elastimare dying is “good riddance”.
  • Ax-Crazy: Pinkamena “Harley” Pie, naturally. Her “other half” even moreso.
  • Cool Car: Pinkie steals a military vehicle funded by Blueblood Industries redesigns it, calling it “The Killing Joke”.
  • Cool Sword: Applejack wield one that can cut through almost anything and possesses a Boom-Tube generator.
  • The Dog Bites Back: The second Spike finds out he was never going to be cured, he immediately turns on Mento and kills him.
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": Spike hates being called “Changeling”.
  • Expy:
    • The "Dollmakers"; Trickster(Button's Mom) and the Toymaker(Button Mash) both hold aspects of the Arrowverse versions and the versions from Superman: The Animated Series. Both of them being a parent and child team like in the Arrowverse, while they share the same backstory with the animated version where they lose and father/husband to a criminal.
    • A giant purple monster floats through space, it's method of talking is simple yet grand, it devours planets whole, and seeks new ones to constantly feed it. Now was what I described Galactus or Starro The Conqueror? Ironically enough among one of Galactus's many assumed forms that certain planets see him as one of them DOES see him as Starro itself.
  • Facial Horror: Braeburn gets scarred by the Queen Kobra, getting the iconic scar that Johna Hex has.
  • Freudian Excuse: Pinkie’s reasons for being totally insane are actually quite tragic: her family apparently abandoned her when she was young, then through a series of events she ended up being put on the Task Force X and watched one of her closest friends die, as a result she later developed a split personality and went completely insane as a result.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Nega-Stallion and Robot-Mare pull this off to stop the Manhunter.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Applejack pulls this on the Kobra Queen when she takes control over Rarity sadly it doesn't work due to her experimenting with chemicals from the Lazarus Pit.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: A lot of times, courtesy of Pinkie.
  • Shout-Out:
    • During her story on how she found Pinkie, Fluttershy mentions having searched the “three Islands of Gothemville”, presumably referring to Arkham Knight’s three islands.
    • Pinkie mentions that Twilight has several “protocols” planned out, with the 52nd one involving “Rebooting everything”.
    • When Red X and Brainiac sneak into a government base, they come across several tubes containing failed prototypes of the Ultimen and Bizarro from the Justice League tv series.
Red X: "Wind Dragon, Shifter, Downpour, Long Shadow... Juice? Really? Who came up with these names?!"
Brainiac: "And what the hell kind of name is Bizarro?!"
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Pinkie has an... odd fascination with Fluttershy, or rather her Batmare persona.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Unlike in the source material, Brainiac(RD), Harley Quinn(Pinkie Pie), and Giganta(Rarity) all survive their debut chapters.
  • Undying Loyalty: Pinkie has some severe abandonment issues, as such being wanted/useful to someone(specifically Batmare) makes her invoke this trope.
