Fan Fic / Futari Wa Pretty Cure Times Two

Go To

Futari wa Pretty Cure Times Two is a fanseries by ryanasaurus0077.

This Curefic is slated to contain examples of:

  • But Not Too Foreign: Trinità Tsubasa Toriyama is half-Italian.
  • Catchphrase: All the protagonists and major supporting characters have their own.
  • Creepy Crossdresser: The second enemy agent the Cures have to face disguises himself as an Aoikawa student.
  • Advertisement:
  • Dance Battler/I Know Madden Kombat: The second Dark Monster agent fights using a style that looks like a blend between classical ballet and rhythmic gymnastics.
  • Dragged into Drag: The tributes attending Mifune Academy for Boys and Aoikawa Academy for Girls.
  • Driven to Suicide: The first victims of the week were forced to attempt suicide. It never works, and the villains have to resort to possessing the victim with a shapeless and formless monster within the brainwashing artifact and forcing the victim to fight the Cures.
  • First-Person Smartass: Mariya comes across as this at times in the narration.
  • Gratuitous Italian: To be expected, considering that both Mariya and Saori attend an Italian language class. It says something about their personalities the way they speak the language: Mariya uses informal Italian and is guaranteed to address most people informally, whereas Saori uses formal Italian and will address a lot of people, and not just her superiors, in a formal manner.

  • Half-Identical Twins: Jean and Marie. Subverted in that though they're fraternal twins, they're not identical.
  • Human Popsicle: Kaoru becomes one temporarily the first time he transforms into Cure Xenon.
  • Leotard of Power: Cure Neon and Cure Mercury.
  • Limited Wardrobe: Jean and Marie literally wear only their respective tutus in the course of the series, except when they're performing in costume for any ballet by their respective dance classes.
  • Man on Fire: The first time Mariya transforms into Cure Silicon, she spontaneously combusts but isn't reduced to ashes, just rendered unconscious temporarily. She has to pinch herself to prove she's not in a dream. Also, to prove that none of what follows is a Dying Dream, the whole thing is a oner, with Mariya catching fire and collapsing, the fire's brightness obscuring her for a few seconds, and the fire dying down to reveal her in her Cure Silicon costume all in one shot.

  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Mariya and Kaoru.
  • Meganekko: Mariya has decent vision, but she'll wear glasses if she wants to get a better view of something but it's too far from her line of sight.
  • Minidress of Power: Jean wears a pink one, and Marie wears a blue one.
  • Modesty Shorts: Normally not to be expected from someone like her, but Mariya wears black bike shorts under her clothes, just in case someone attempts a certain prank on her (she even says in episode 2 that she may be just being a bit overcautious).
  • The Oner: Mariya's initial transformation into Cure Silicon.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Cure Silicon and Cure Xenon.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Purely to invoke Pink Girl, Blue Boy, Cure Silicon's costume is pink. Also, many of Saori's outfits have at least some pink in them.
  • Prim and Proper Bun: Worn by Haruna.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Averted with Junichi.
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Kaoru and Junichi.
  • Theme Naming: All the Cures are named after chemical elements.
  • Tights Under Shorts: Part of Cure Silicon's costume. Mariya's regular outfit also pairs jean shorts with pink tights.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Mariya and Saori.
  • Tomboyish Ponytail: Mariya.
  • Trickster Twins: Sartana and Sabata Shiina.
  • True Blue Femininity: The Aoikawa school uniform is designed to invoke this (some of their individual club or class uniforms, though, are pink), and Haruna and Marie are individual examples.
