Enter Digital World is a Chrono Cross and Digimon crossover Fan Fic written by impmontamer03. This fanfic is set on 1016 AD, or exactly four years before Chrono Cross event, while the Digimon universe is loosely based on Digimon World. This project began on 13th February 2015, and the first chapter was published on 14th February 2015.

Guile spends his days at Magic Guild fighting vandals for bounty and drinking in the bar (while searching for new bounty to hunt). After turning in two crooks for 2,000G, Guile starts to think that he's getting easy money and that isn't fun. He decides to eavesdrop in the bar and later, on the streets for a more challenging and rewarding bounty quest.

Guile soon learns about a bounty quest that offers 1,000,000G for the one who can find Nicholas, the great mage of Magic Guild who has been missing for several months. Interested in the challenge and the reward, Guile sets off to Nicholas' house after learning that Nicholas has probably entered a portal he created in his house.

Unbeknownst to him, the said portal actually leads to Digital World... And so it begins.

Can be read at FF.net and Archive Of Our Own. This is an on-going work.

Provides examples of:

  • Audience Surrogate: This fanfic is written in third person limited POV, so we're basically seeing what Guile sees and reads what snarks he has got in his mind.
  • Blood Knight: Guile doesn't like hunting petty crooks for bounty. This is also why he ends up at Digital World.
  • Bring It: The opening features Guile wiggling his finger at the vandals, promptly angering them.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Guile starts off cold and apathetic towards Gabumon, but when he's seriously injured during the fight against RedVegiemon, Gabumon is concerned about him. He calls out to Guile, which thaws Guile out and enables him to flip the table.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: Guile's fighting style. When his punch is blocked by Jijimon, it confuses him as he has relied on his fists for years to ensure no death to the crooks he hunts.
  • Hot-Blooded: Despite being a lonely, quiet guy, Guile is reckless.
    • He gets Hot-Blooded enough to punch Jijimon, a Mega level Digimon. His attack is blocked anyway.
    • When RedVegiemon has just finished talking about Digimon level and is revealed to be a Champion level Digimon, Guile simply boots him on the face before taunting him.
  • In Medias Res: The story opens with Guile fighting against two vandals.
  • I Work Alone: Fortuna suggests Guile to work together with her and later split the bounty in half, but Guile refuses.
  • Made of Iron: Guile, despite being a wizard. Thrashed by RedVegiemon's mace-like tentacles, took RedVegiemon's Rotten Rainballs in point-blank range, and then thrashed again by RedVegiemon's tentacles. Guile's endurance surprised RedVegiemon and impressed Gabumon.
  • Playing with Fire: The vandals in the beginning of the story attacks with burning fists.
  • Poisonous Person: RedVegiemon Guile gets hit by his Rotten Rainballs point-blank and is severely weakened.
  • Rape as Backstory: Poor Guile. This turns him into a cranky guy, as suspected by Fortuna.
  • Rape Discretion Shot: Fortuna has seen it in chapter 2 by 'reading' Guile, but we're seeing things through Guile's point-of-view. And then, in chapter 3, it's cut off in Fortuna's mind when she recalls it.
  • Shock and Awe:
  • Guile's spell, Lightning Wave.
