  • And This Is for...: When Valerie and Star rescue Dani from the Guys in White, Star hits one of them and says, "That's for daring to lay a hand on her!"
  • Audience Surrogate: Star shares fans disappointment over Valerie's petty feud with Danny Phantom and voices it to her.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Because Star treated her so nicely, Danielle pranked Paulina for insulting her.
  • Big Eater: Star discovers just how much Danielle can eat.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Danielle is forced to leave again to ensure Vlad doesn't find her. However, she gets a stable living arrangement at Sam's family cabin in the meantime and promises to return once Vlad is taken care of, with the promise of having a permanent home with the Fentons.
  • Cassandra Truth: Agent Alpha doesn't believe O and K about the Red Huntress getting in the way because she never had accomplices before, is known for hating ghosts, and isn't affiliated to any ghost hunting organization.note
  • Character Development: Thanks to Star, Valerie learns to be less stubborn about holding grudges and is working on overcoming her hatred of ghosts.
  • Description Cut: Jazz stops Danny from getting his cell phone back by telling him the manager would've informed him if somebody called. It cuts to the manager changing Danny's phone to "vibrate" to be able to ignore the calls.
  • Disappointed by the Motive:
    • Star is disgusted that Valerie wants to destroy Danny Phantom just for accidentally costing her dad his job and making her lose her popularity.
    • When the Guys in White tell Dani they abducted her to use her as bait to capture Danny and Starlight after their defeat at their hands cost them a bonus, she says "that's the most petty reason I've[she's] heard in my[her] life".
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Star calls Valerie out on wanting to kill Danny Phantom just because he accidentally caused her dad to lose his job and her A-Lister status.
  • Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male: Averted as Star makes it clear to Valerie it was not okay for her to make Kwan try to beat up Danny just for accidentally spilling coffee on her new sweater.
  • Dream Sequence: A good chunk of a chapter is Danielle dreaming that she lives with the Fentons, being Jack and Maddie's daughter as well as Jazz and Danny's sister.
  • Epic Fail: In order to make Dani feel better when they play bowling, Star claims to have once gotten a gutter ball in someone else's lane.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite her hatred of ghosts in general, Valerie stills finds it extremely petty that Operatives O and K want revenge against Danny and Starlight because their defeat at the latter two's hands cost them a bonus.
  • Evil Is Petty: Operatives O and K want revenge against Danny and Starlight because their defeat at the latter two's hands cost them a bonus. The pettiness becomes bigger when it's revealed that their families' donations are the only reason Agent Alpha hasn't fired them yet.
  • Fantastic Racism: Star points out Valerie is just using this an excuse to be a jerk because she doesn't care whether or not Danny Phantom actually is evil, as she claims all ghosts are.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Valerie hates Danny Phantom for ruining her life, as he accidentally caused her father to lose his job, leading to them becoming poor and her losing her popularity. Star calls Valerie out for holding a grudge against Phantom despite all he has done to protect the town, pointing out that it was an accident and he genuinely feels bad about it. However, Valerie does not care and says she still sees him as dangerous and a loose cannon. Star counters that Valerie is also dangerous, is justifying a reason to be cruel, and Phantom actually improved her life by getting her out of the A-Listers, and she still has her father and real friends. Star tells Valerie that she's sorry what happened to her father, but Valerie cannot blame everything bad she went through on Phantom. When Valerie refuses to listen and still tries to claim Phantom is evil, Star loses her patience. She states Valerie has not changed at all from her time as an A-Lister and is still finding an excuse to be mean to someone, and Star is done listening to her whining and pinning the blame on someone who just had bad luck. Thankfully, Valerie finally gets her act together after this.
  • Homeless Hero: Contrary to what she said in "D-Stabilized", Danielle did not have places to go. In actuality, she's been living on streets with no home to call her own to get away from Vlad, as well as guilt over getting Danny hurt both times they've been together.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Star rightfully calls Valerie out on her stubbornness for ignoring all the good Danny Phantom has done just because she can't get over him accidentally costing her family their rich status and her A-Lister position.
  • Hypocrisy Callout: Star calls Valerie out on hunting Danny Phantom on the excuse that he's a dangerous loose cannon by pointing she's a teenager using an arsenal without any supervision.
  • Irrational Hatred: Star points out to Valerie that her obsession with destroying Danny Phantom over accidentally getting her dad fired is EXTREMELY unreasonable.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Star slowly bonds with Danielle over the story.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • Danielle meets Star, learning that she knows Danny's secret, and her's, and that she's his girlfriend.
    • At the end, Jazz finally learns about Danielle.
  • Irony: Star is the one from an "average" household but has less trouble accepting the idea of Danny having a clone than his sister Jazz has.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Star rightfully calls Valerie's grudge against Danny Phantom extremely petty at best and completely irrational at worst.
  • Kid Sidekick: Star think Dani Phantom would make a good sidekick for Danny once she joins the family.
  • Lesser of Two Evils: Valerie is reluctant about accepting an invitation to sit with Tucker and Sam at lunch until Nathan invites her to sit with him and she quickly uses their invitation as an excuse to reject his. The expression "Lesser of two evils" is even used in-story to describe the scenario.
  • No Sympathy for Grudgeholders: Star bluntly informs Valerie that her grudge with Danny Phantom proves she has NOT become any better of a person than she was as an A-Lister because she's still looking for reasons to be a jerk and won't let go of a slight no matter how trivial or accidental it is.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: Star knows Valerie has always had a problem letting go of grudge even for meager reasons like the time she tried to get Kwan to beat up Danny just for accidentally spilling coffee on her new sweater when she was an A-Lister.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: The Guys in White not only hunt ghosts regardless of the ghosts in question deserving it or not, but also are sexists who believe ghost hunting should be left to men. They also call Georgia a "wage slave" and consider her too low-class for her opinion to be spoken to them.
  • Put on a Bus: Colette is away on a trip with her father, making this the first story since her introduction to not feature her.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Star delivers one to Valerie about how the latter hasn't improved as much as she thinks, with her grudge against Danny Phantom being petty at best and completely irrational at worst.
  • Rejected Apology: Deconstructed as this makes Star conclude that Valerie is still the same mean girl from her A-Lister days for stubbornly refusing to let go of her grudge against Danny Phantom no matter how trivial or petty it is and the ghost boy's genuine apologies over the accident.
  • Revenge Myopia: Star makes it clear that Valerie doesn't actually care if Danny Phantom is evil or not because she clearly is just looking for someone to blame and vent her problems on just like when she bullied people as an A-Lister.
  • Secretly Selfish: Valerie's stubborn refusal to accept that she's wrong about Danny Phantom being evil despite his heroics only convinces Star that her friend hasn't changed since her A-Lister days and is still looking for any excuse to bully people.
  • Selective Obliviousness: Star rightfully calls Valerie out on her stubbornness for ignoring all the good Danny Phantom has done just because she can't get over him accidentally costing her family their rich status and her A-Lister position.
  • Shared Family Quirks: While Jack is unaware of her existence, Danielle shares his appetite, something Star notes.
  • Ungrateful Bitch: Star calls Valerie out on being too obsessed with hating Danny Phantom to appreciate everything he's done for the city.
  • Unluckily Lucky: Star notes that Danny Phantom unintentionally getting Valerie kicked out of the A-Listers was a blessing in disguise since it got her away from their Toxic Friend Influence and led to her making real friends with Team Phantom.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The Guys in White are willing to hurt Dani to get back at Danny and Starlight.
