Bliss
is a midquel to Blackmailed and a side story in the Danny Phantom: Stranded series. Danny and Star celebrate their six-month anniversary.
Tropes:
- Breather Episode: A much more lighthearted, romantic short story after the events of “Blackmailed”.
- Everyone Has Standards: Jean-Luc has no problem punishing Colette for her crimes by canceling her 16th birthday party and helping Stella return her expensive stuff, while also making it clear to his daughter that he won’t tolerate any of her tantrums.
- Family of Choice: The Fentons have no problem letting Sam temporarily crash with them due to her recent issues with her parents.
- Good Cannot Comprehend Evil: Downplayed. Puck is more of a Blue-and-Orange Morality Karmic Trickster than outright good, but while he isn't surprised by Beatrice's vendetta against Star and Danny, he doesn't understand how someone who had everything handed to them on a silver platter their whole life could become such a despicable old hag, even to their own flesh and blood.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Colette flies into a jealous rage when she sees Star flying in Danny’s arms.
- Hates Common Food: Colette is outraged that her parents are only giving her simple meals like a sandwich as punishment for her crimes by denying her the expensive food she loves.
- It's All About Me: Jean-Luc is mainly furious with Colette for making him and their family look bad with her abysmal actions.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Jean-Luc doesn’t care how miserable Colette is from her punishments since she brought it on herself for ruining their family’s reputation after her crimes were exposed.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Colette’s 16th birthday party was canceled and she’s stuck in her room during her house arrest while still recovering from the hive curse Misty gave her. Jean-Luc and Stella also returned most of her expensive stuff for a refund.
- Never My Fault: Colette blames Star for ruining her life when it was her own crimes that did that.
- No Sympathy: Jean-Luc is apathetic to Colette’s misery over being under house arrest since news of her crimes have greatly damaged their family’s reputation.
- Papa Wolf: Jean-Luc is working with his legal team to get Colette out of the trouble she got herself into.
- Pet the Dog: Despite his anger at Colette, Jean-Luc is trying to get his daughter out of the legal trouble she’s in.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Jean-Luc is correct that Colette brought all her misery on herself for her despicable behavior, even if he is only saying it because he’s upset with her for making their family look bad.
- Sore Loser: Colette throws a giant tantrum over being punished for her crimes.
- Tantrum Throwing: Colette throws a really loud one over her blackmailing scheme failing and having to suffer the consequences for her illegal actions.
- What Does He See in Her?: Puck believes Richard Traville either has to be blind with love, have the patience of a saint, or just have terrible taste in women if he could manage to love Beatrice, given her horrendous attitude, laziness, and not having aged well.
