Dangerous And Deadly Lord Voldemort

Go To

Dangerous And Deadly Lord Voldemort is the tale of William Cartwright, who at the age of eleven decided that he was going to be the greatest magician the wizarding world had ever seen. Not the greatest wizard, mind you. The greatest magician.

This work contains examples of:

  • Calling Your Attacks: Exploited: Willaim discovers that with sufficient mental discipline, it is possible to nonverbally cast one spell while speaking the incantation for a different spell.
  • Magicians Are Wizards: Played With. William is a wizard who is also a magician, but much of his success lies in the fact that wizards are horrible at recognizing stage magic. He theorizes that part of the problem is that when Muggles see a magic trick, they know it's a trick and look for the trick, while wizards are much more likely to take it at face value.
  • Mole in Charge: As "Lord Voldemort", William went to great lengths to carefully sabotage the Death Eater movement: sending them to attack places that he knew were strongly defended by the Order, framing some of his more dangerous minions for leaking secrets to get them killed by other minions, faking the occasional senseless atrocity in order to make the Death Eaters look worse to the rest of the wizarding world, and so on.
  • Tiger by the Tail: How William ended up becoming "Lord Voldemort". He didn't realize until too late that the "Tom Riddle" persona he'd created was becoming the figurehead for the blood supremacy and dark magic movements, and by the time he realized what was happening he couldn't back out without his own followers killing him.
