Danganronpa: Foundations of Disparity
follows Touma Sashi- a barista who was recently accepted into Hope's Peak Academy, only to find himself landed in a Killing Game set in a hellish hotel. This is a Fan Killing Game (or "Fangan") for the Danganronpa series. it was created on the 1st of April, 2018, and is written by "eatreadsleeprepeat" on Archive of Our Own.

Danganronpa: Foundations of Disparity contains examples of:
- Anyone Can Die: No character is safe from the possibility of being murdered or executed. That's the fun of the game, after all!
- Cruel and Unusual Death: This describes the fate of Kazuo Okamura, the first murderer, whose execution involves him being chased around a library by knife-wielding teddy bears, then being crushed by a bookshelf. Yeah, definitely unusual.
- Deadly Game: The Game of Mutual Killing is a concept that is introduced by Monokuma in the prologue; every student must play along with a sinister game based in getting away with murder. (Or not. Whoops!)
- Everyone Went to School Together: Revealed in Chapter One by Monokuma, as part of a ploy to motivate one of the students to commit murder in order to escape. Not only had they all been planning on going to the same school—Hope's Peak Academy—but they had in fact already gone. And forgotten it.
- Kill the Cutie: The case as the bubbly SHSL Matchmaker, Kinji Anzai, is the first to die.
- Ontological Mystery: Touma wakes up in a hotel with no idea how he got there. It's about as generic as you can get, especially when you realize that none of the other fifteen people in the hotel know what's going on, either. There seems to be no way out, and no way to contact the outside world. That is, until the Game of Mutual Killing is announced!
