Official Summary

Cute Meets Psycho is a Sailor Moon and Heathers crossover fanfiction.

Tropes included:

  • Action Girl: Although the Sailor Scouts tend to be this, Molly is the most notable example before and when she becomes Sailor Earth.
  • Asshole Victim: JD's victims tend to be this, but not all of them are this. The only notable examples for his book are...
    • His abusive father, Big Bud Dean, dies by his own son's hand when he uses his bomb to cause an explosion in the building he is planning to blow up, setting him on a fiery demise as his 6th victim.
    • Ikuko Tsukino is this by JD when he slits her throat with a switchblade for kicking Serena out of the house due to getting a bad grade as it reminded him of his father doing this to him, turning her into his 17th victim. All in his opinion; people like Molly oppose the idea.
    • He even killed Mina Aino's mother for this reason as well.
    • Hotaru Tomoe is also this by him due to having Mistress 9 inside her as his 18th victim.
  • Bad Guys Do the Dirty Work: JD killing Hotaru as his 18th victim before the Sailor Scouts could even meet her could be seen as this due to her being a vessel for Mistress 9.
  • Dead All Along: JD, ever since his death in the end of Heathers. Now he roams around as a ghost to finish the 21 killings.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Hikaru Sorano is the main character for chapter 1 before she got killed by JD in the end as his 15th victim. After this, Molly has become the main character.
  • Demoted to Extra: The Sailor Scouts are reduced to supporting roles in Molly's encounters with JD..
  • Face Death with Dignity: Just like in Heathers, JD looks calm when he starts to disappear to the afterlife after his ritual has been foiled. Then again, he is Dead All Along.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Wiseman is the one who gave JD knowledge of the ritual in the first place, but plays no other role in the story.
  • Hate at First Sight: JD really hates Ikuko after witnessing her kicking her own daughter out of the house for getting a bad grade as it reminded him of his father doing this to him.
  • Villain Protagonist: JD is the main focus instead of the Sailor Scouts, and Molly is just an important co-star.
