Conference Call: Interdimensional Teenage Princess Group Therapy
is a crossover published on Archive of Our Own, in which Amy Dallon, Blake Belladonna, Elodie, and Tali'Zorah nar Rayya suddenly find themselves with a chatroom in their heads.
It can be read here
on SpaceBattles.com.
- The Baby of the Bunch: Elodie is three to four years younger than the other members of her chat group, and they all offer to mentor her in different subjects.
- Culture Clash: There's occasionally friction from differing cultures between the chat members.
- Enigmatic Empowering Entity: The creator of the chat, a mysterious entity that calls itself ModSteel, makes said chat in order to "help bring worlds together, culturally and cosmologically" to make a more coherent multiverse, but their reasons for wanting this, or how they did it to begin with, are obscure to the chat members, though seemingly benevolent.
- Reality Bleed: One potential function for the chat, the "Blur" function would allow the people in the chat to overlap sections of their worlds in their proximity, but they turn it down due to the potential risks, like introducing contaminants into a sterile environment for Quarians, despite the fact that it 'also' lets them share their abilities. On a more general level, one reason the chat was created was to cause this on a more subtle level.
- Summon Magic: The latest function added to the chat allows the chat members to summon each other to their worlds, creating a projection that has all of their abilities and gear, and they can only be summoned when they agree to it. The downside is that it takes up a good chunk of the node's processing power, so they currently can't add any more functions, like inviting others to the chat, until they streamline things a bit.
- Title Drop: ModSteel says the second part of the title word-for-word as they're setting up the chat.
- Token Non-Human: While Blake is technically not human, being a Faunus, she's close enough to human that Tali, as a Quarian, still fits the role well.
