In a different universe, Chloé Bourgeois is a nice person. She's friends with both Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and is well-liked by her family and friends and peers. How did this happen? Because in her previous life, she was Rachel the Animorph. Butterfly Effect Elsewhere is a crossover between Miraculous Ladybug and Animorphs by StellarStylus, and having Rachel reborn in Chloé's body and remembering everything will have a considerable ripple effect. It can be read at both Archive of Our Own here

This fanfic provides examples of:
- Action Girl: Rachel (now in Chloé's body) misses the action she had back in her previous life as one of the Animorphs, but she tries to stay active and busy in this life by learning Krav Maga and other combat skills.
- Adaptational Heroism: Because it's really Rachel in Chloé's body, and Rachel knows not only how to be a hero but also how to act like a normal human being, this version of Chloé Bourgeois isn't the brat we all know and loathe.
- Ascended Extra: Jean the Butler gets a lot more respect and seems to play a greater role in Chloé's life here.
- Big Sister Instinct: This carries over from her previous life as Rachel, as she looks out for both Adrien and Marinette.
- Break the Cutie: Shortly after her 12th birthday, Chloé went to bed and woke up screaming in the middle of the night because she remembered everything from when she was Rachel.
- Catchphrase: Chloé has inherited "Let's do it!" from her previous life.
- Celebrity Paradox: At one point, Rachel thinks back to when, in this life in this universe, she gave Smallville a try, and she thought that a certain vampire character looked a lot like her. (The joke being that the actress Brooke Nevin played both that character as well as Rachel in the Animorphs TV series before that.)
- Child Soldier: Technically Rachel was one, as were all the Animorphs.
- Cute Bruiser: Chloé: she's a beautiful blue-eyed blonde girl and a skilled Krav Maga practitioner, a skill she has learned to compensate for her inability to Morph in this life.
- Deus ex Machina: Obviously, someone or something put Rachel in Chloé's body, but it's yet to be explained who or why.
- Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: This version of Chloé looks nicer and is more attractive because she's not a haughty spoiled brat with too much make-up, but nobody knows or can even suspect that she's really the most bloodthirsty of the Animorphs behind those eyes.
- The Fashionista: Even cross different lifetimes and different universes, this hasn't changed one bit. If anything, now she can afford even nicer and more expensive stuff this time around.
- Girly Bruiser: Chloé is the girliest girl you can find, but she'll still fight if need be and even takes martial arts and self-defense lessons towards that end.
- Inciting Incident: Since this version of Chloé Bourgeois is a reincarnated Rachel with all her memories, many things have changed. She's much closer with both Adrien and Marinette than Sabrina, and doesn't have any of the bad habits which her canon counterpart has (i.e. saying "ridiculous, utterly ridiculous" all the time, calling Adrien "Adrikins," etc.).
- Also, the author has stated that most of the many, many villains which Chloé has caused in canon will not be appearing in this story, because of this change.
- Last Stand: The story starts with a flashback to Rachel's fate in the original Animorphs books.
- Like Brother and Sister: After getting her "Rachel memories" back and trying to sort through everything, Rachel-as-Chloé abandons whatever crush she might have had on Adrien and instead sees him more as a brother.
- Original Character: Irina Afanasyeva, daughter of a Russian gas mogul and effectively Chloé's replacement as the resident Alpha Bitch, and her "best friend"/minion Dieter Stern.
- The author has promised a number of original Akumatized villains to replace the ones that Chloé won't cause.
- Past Experience Nightmare: Rachel-as-Chloé gets plenty of these.
- Properly Paranoid: Not only is Rachel/Chloé worried about whether or not alien threats like the Yeerks exist in this universe, but Hawk Moth and his akumas remind her too much of the Yeerks for her liking.
- Recurring Dreams: Chloé has dreamed flashbacks and memories to her previous life since she was a baby, but it's only a little after her 12th birthday when she wakes up and realizes who she was in her previous life. Since then, she's occasionally had dreams of happier times... And nightmares of her deepest, darkest fears.
- Reincarnate in Another World: Just like the premise of the story says, somehow Rachel the Animorph is reborn as Chloé Bourgeois in a completely different universe.
- Smarter Than You Look: This version of Chloé is no Dumb Blonde; thanks to her remembering everything as Rachel, she even remembers most of what she learned in school in her past life, and gets top marks as a student once again.
- Survivor Guilt: Played With. She definitely didn't "survive" the war against the Yeerks, but being reborn and eventually getting her memories back, she feels guilty about the things she did and was forced to do in her previous life.
