In General
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Ben catches Yang's eye early. As such, she and Blake don't continue to get the Ship Tease they had in canon or become a romantic couple in Volume 9. Instead, Yang gets together with Ben while Blake gets together with Sun.
- Adaptational Skill: Zigzagged. Whilst Blake still has her semblance, Shadow, they act more like shadow clones from Naruto in which they can act independantly as opposed to being simple and short lived constructs.
- Adaptational Sexuality: Coco is a lesbian in canon. Here she’s dating Cooper. Partially Justified because the story began before that was revealed in RWBY: After the Fall
- Adaptational Wimp: By the end of Omniverse, when Ben is still 16 years old, Ben has unlocked an additional 16 aliens (17 if counting Ventrilosquid). Yet in this fan fiction, Ben is 17 years and has not used any of those 16 before. Downplayed since Omniverse is retconned as a whole.
- Alternate Universe: The events of Ben 10: Omniverse never happened in this world.
- Crossover Couple: A few.
- Ben and Yang.
- Rex and Wiess.
- Winter and Kenny Tennyson.
- Ilia Amitola and Swift.
- Ruby and Zak Saturday get plenty of Ship Tease, as do Penny and Francis, and Cinder and Rojo.
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover: This was bound to happen due to the Ben 10 franchise having two canon crossovers.
- Rex, Six, Bobo, and Holiday arrive at Remnant to look for Ben about halfway through Volume 1.
- The Omni-Hunters met up with the Saturday family during Volume 2.
- During Volume 2 charapters from Kamen Rider have their meetings with the Omni-Hunters.
- Kinder and Cleaner: The fic is noticably less darker and serious than even Ben 10 itself much less RWBY canon with the villians being akin to that of a villian of the week cartoon.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Pyrrha isn't killed by Cinder like in canon and survives the Battle of Beacon.
Volume 1: Dimension Twist
- Casting Gag: Ben points out how Mercury sounds just like him, referencing how Yuri Lowenthal voices both Ben Tennyson and Mercury Black.
- Came Back Strong: In this case stronger, as Penny is both repaired and her soul placed back into her body by a combined effort of Ben as Upgrade, Rex using his nanites, and Gwen using literal soul searching in Chapter 63. This not only brings her back to life but some of Upgrade's essence and Rex's nanites somehow incorporate into Penny's physiology and allow her to not only make her stronger and more durable but also make her own nanite builds just like Rex, merge with technology when her internal systems are exposed like Upgrade, and most surprisingly survive being decapitated & able to reattach her head quite easily.
- Continuity Nod: In Chapter 10, Ben recalls to Yang the events of the first episode of the original Ben 10 series, when he first met Kevin and when he sent Kevin to the Null Void.
- Fairy Tale Motifs / Mythical Motifs / Shout-Out: Ben calls out that for whatever reason teams RWBY, JNPR, and SN all seem to coincide with fairy tales, legends, myths, and some historical figures from his world.
- Ruby is Little Red Riding Hood, Ben points out the hood and Ruby admits she regularly sent her grandmother treats when she was younger.
- Weiss is Snow White, Ben points out that Weiss' name when translated from German means "White Snow".
- And the Schnee family butler, Klein Sieben, name translates to "Little Seven", and has DID giving him 7 unique personalities, making him the 7 dwarves.
- Blake is Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ben points out she's a bookworm, her last is *Belladonna*, and her ex-boyfriend is a horned asshole.
- Yang is Goldielocks, Yang admits she once wandered into an Ursa den when she was young.
- Just in Time: Ben does two of these early on in the story by suddenly (and conveniently) appearing between Yang and Adam Taurus probably a mere second before Yang gets her right arm cut off by Adam saving her from losing it and preventing Blake from running away, the second one was in Chapter 5 when he stopped Cinder from killing Pyrrha at the last possible second.
- Mythology Gag: In chapter 16, Ruby calls XLR8 "Speedyquick", a nod to how Ben 23, one of Ben's alternate counterparts, named his Kineceleran transformation.
- Named by the Adaptation: Zigzagged. While Ben's Loboan form is still named Blitzwolfer, albeit at the suggestion of Yang, Ren, and Nora come up with suggestions such as "Snarler" or "Howlback", the latter being the same name as a Transformer.
- Projectile Toast: To test out what else Penny could now do after being revived & upgraded, she repairs and replaces an arm with a crushed toaster. When bread was loaded and fired out... Let's just say Penny made "Death Toast".
- Shout-Out: In Chapter 10 when discussing pop culture back in Ben's world, Ben mentions, among other things
- Robots who turn into vehicles
- Teenage talking reptiles who know martial arts.
- Pastel coloured horses who teach lessons about friendship.
- A franchise about a man's endless quest to become stronger that not only puts his friends and home in danger yet is always able to save it and usually involves a lot of fighting, energy blasting, screaming and tons of form changes involving spiky blonde hair.
- Show, Don't Tell: The fight between Ben and Vilgax in Chapter 1 is barely given any detail apart from claiming it was "seismic in proportions"
- Talking Heads: A good handful of chapters have a majority of its length comprising of nothing but talking with very little action in between.
Volume 2: Ultimate Omniverse
- All Myths Are True: The Omni-Team quickly became acquainted with several notable gods, including Thor, Heracles, Sun Wukong, and Poseidon. The Ministry meanwhile are joined by Red Son (Red Boy from Journey to the West).
- The Cameo: In chapter 4, Billy Billions and his android servant & bodyguard Mazuma only appear briefly after Ben defeats Computron and decides to move on to plan B, the De-Ager Ray. 76 chapters later in chapter 80, he comes to exact his plan.
- Fountain of Youth: In chapter 80, Billy Billions zaps Ben, Gwen, Kevin, Rook, and team RWBY with his De-Ager ray and turns them back into pre-teen age, though according to the author Ruby is 8 or 9 instead of 11 instead...
- Humanity Ensues: Played with, it is revealed by Azmuth in chapter 75 that when Penny was repaired and resurrected she ascended from Robot Girl to Mechanical Lifeform, with DNA and all integrated into her systems, plus possibly being able to bear children of her own. Also he reveals that since because Ben and Rex had their essences embedded into Penny this technically makes the two her 2nd and 3rd fathers.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Baron Finster, an enemy of Doyle Blackwell's who was kidnapped by Munya and later murdered off-screen by Argost during the last few episodes of The Secret Saturdays, appears in Chapter 93. This is lampshaded by Doyle, who hadn't seen Finster in years until then and assumed Argost killed him.
- Spotlight-Stealing Crossover: In the later stages of the fanfic, the Kamen Rider aspect begins taking over many parts of the story, with Cooper developing further original forms for Kamen Rider Build that weren't present in the original work, the arrival of villains and elements from that work, hints of other elements from different Rider shows popping up and being hinted at, and Oscar becoming the new Den-O.
