This work contains examples of the following tropes:
- Adaptational Deviation: Instead of marrying Selyse Florent in the canon, Stannis Baratheon marries Malora Hightower and have a daughter Blake, the reincarnated cat Faunus huntress, in this story. Unlike Selyse, Stannis and Malora manage to make their relationship work.
- Arranged Marriage:
- Tywin arranges for Weiss to marry a boy knight, Stuar Redwyne. Weiss hopes that she can get the betrothal annulled, but he dies in battle before that becomes a concern.
- She gets put into two other betrothals later, but they both die in accidents before they really go anywhere. Weiss never expected either of them to be more than a Marriage of Convenience for the benefits it could bring her and her family, but is still annoyed by how the offers dry up after that (the fact that she retains her Aura means that she's not worried about her hypothetical husband trying anything).
- Big Sister Instinct:
- Weiss does her best to be a loving and protective sister after her younger sister is born.
- Blake is caring for her younger sister Shireen. She even tried to awaken Shireen's Aura in attempt to cure her Greyscale affliction.
- Cartwright Curse: Weiss gets put into an Arranged Marriage three times, and in each case her betrothed die, some before she even meets them, the first one in battle and the last two in apparent accidents. She's rather annoyed, for the loss of the failed arrangements that could have benefitted her and her family if nothing else, along with the fact that some people are calling her 'Maiden Widow' behind her back. It is revealed that it was Ruby Rose, the Bloodraven, who was behind the deaths of Weiss's fiances the whole time.
- Children Forced to Kill: To save her mother and fostered friends, Weiss kills four Ironborn raiders who attack the Gold Keep at the start of the Greyjoy Rebellion when she is seven years old. This is what causes her to by noticed by Tywin Lannister.
- Kiddie Kid: Weiss pretends to be this. it does not work.
- Nay-Theist: After her experiences with the Brothers, Weiss acknowledges that gods may exist in her new world, but is in no hurry to worship them, which makes her cover of her Aura and Semblance as a blessing from the Seven rather ironic. Blake notes that back on Remnant she was an outright atheist, and even after she saw a Maiden's magic firsthand she tended to question everything.
- Odd Friendship: Weiss Lannister gets along with her cousin Tyrion Lannister despite the latter's reputation because they exchange intelligent conversation with sprinkles of Deadpan Snarker.
- Oblivious to Love: It's implied that Weiss's handmaid Alysanne has a crush on her, but Weiss is completely unaware.
- Screaming Warrior: Deconstructed, Stuar Redwyne dies when he foolishly yells before attacking and an Ironborn warrior is forewarned and kills him.
- Time Skip:
- After Weiss's new sister Rosamund is born, the story skips forward two years.
- After that there are a few other smaller skips until it gets to 298 AC and has Weiss travelling to King's Landing for Joffrey's tournament.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: To certain visiting adults, a seven-year-old Weiss Lannister comes across like a veteran soldier/sailor in a child's body.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Cedric vomiting due to his seasickness is described in gruesome detail.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: A definite product of having reincarnated into Westeros after having lived as a Huntress in Remnant previously.
- Would Hurt a Child: Ruby Rose, the Bloodraven, was responsible of killing three young fiances of Weiss Lannister despite they were kids and she doesn't want them near her partner.
