  • "Oh God! They're trying to get through the door! Security! Intruders in Cryo 2! No, please don't—!" Tech Officer Third Class Samuel Marcus, who is shot dead by invading Elites.
  • "Sam! Sam! C'mon, we've got to get the hell out of here. This way!" Tech Chief Thom Shepherd, who is later killed by an explosion.
  • "Oh, this is loco!" Corporal Manuel Mendoza, before being assimilated by the Flood.
  • "There's too many, Sarge!" Private Wallace Jenkins, who is overtaken by the Flood. Master Chief finds Jenkins' helmet and is able to observe the footage recorded on it.
  • "Get it off! Get it off!" Private Riley, who is overtaken by Flood Infection Forms.
  • "Keyes, Jacob. Captain. Service number 01928-19912-JK. You will not! HAVE! ME!" Captain Jacob Keyes, before being fully assimilated into a Proto-Gravemind.
  • "...we already do." The Proto-Gravemind that assimilates Keyes.
  • "I'm hit! Mayday! Mayday! Rear port thrusters are shot to hell! I can't hold her... I can't hold her—!" Carol "Foehammer" Rawley, who is shot down by Covenant air forces.

  • "I don't believe it! They're retreating! We won!" An unnamed soldier on the Malta station, who is killed along with everyone else aboard the station when it is destroyed by a Covenant bomb.
  • "Get the hell outta my armory, split-lip!" The Cairo station's Quartermaster, who is shot to death by Covenant Elites.
  • "The Elites are blind, Arbiter! But I... will make them see." Sesa 'Refumee, the Heretic Leader, who is killed by Arbiter Thel 'Vadamee in a duel.
  • "Of all the objects our Lords left behind... there are none so worthless as these Oracles...! They know NOTHING of the Great Journey!" The Prophet of Regret/Lod Mron, who has been absorbed into the Gravemind.
  • "Earth. To finish what we started. And this time... none of you will be left behind". The Prophet of Mercy/Hod Rumnt, who is already dying as a Flood Infection Form is feeding on his neck. Master Chief kills him by violent ripping the Infection Form from his neck.
  • "No, Arbiter! The Great Journey has begun! And the Brutes, not the Elites, shall be the Prophets' escort!" Jiralhanae/Brute Chieftain Tartarus, who chooses to fight the Arbiter rather than accept the truth about Halo. He is ultimately slain by the Arbiter, Sergeant Johnson, and a squad of Elites.
• Halo 3
  • "You're right." Miranda Keyes, who is then shot in the back with a Spiker by the Prophet of Truth.
  • "No! I... am... Truth! The voice of the Covenant!" The Prophet of Truth/Ord Casto, who's then literally stabbed in the back by the Arbiter, who replies, "And so... you must be silenced."
  • "Unacceptable! Unacceptable! Absolutely unacceptable! Protocol dictates action! I see now that helping you was wrong! You are the child of my makers; inheritor of all they left behind. You are Forerunner... But this ring is mine." 343 Guilty Spark, who attacks Master Chief, the Arbiter and Sergeant Johnson for attempting to destroy his new Halo installation.
    • "...OHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!" 343 Guilty Spark's actual last words as he is destroyed by Master Chief's Spartan Laser. Halo: Primordium reveals that he managed to barely survive the fight, though.
  • "Don't let her go... don't ever let her go. Send me out... with a bang." Sergeant Avery Johnson, who succumbs to his wounds from being shot by 343 Guilty Spark's laser.
  • "Resignation is my virtue. Like water, I ebb and flow. Defeat is simply an addition of time... to a sentence I never deserved... but you... imposed..." The Gravemind, who is destroyed by the replacement Halo Installation 04's activation.
  • "Wake me... when you need me." John-117, who goes into cryogenic sleep for five years.
• Halo 3: ODST
  • "Alien son of a bitch! Think I'd share any of this with you—" The Crone, pinned under an ATM she was robbing by Brutes, then executed by the same.
  • "Wait, you don't understa—AAAGGGHH!!" Tom Uberti, who is killed trying to negotiate with the driver of a Wraith, after hearing that not all Covenant races are hostile.
  • "No! Please!" Jim Odingo, moments before being killed by Marshall Glick for repeatedly using his half-and-half when Glick had labelled it.
  • "Drop your weapon!" Unnamed SWAT officer, killed by Marshall Glick.
  • "Aagh, my eyes! Aww, you lousy sons of bitches—!" Marshall Glick, blinded by a flashbang grenade and gunned down by a SWAT team.
  • "What? No! No! Get back! Get back! Get away from me!" Commissioner Kinsler, just before an angry mob literally tears him apart.
  • "Sorry, friend. You know way too much." a corrupt NMPD officer, shortly before he turns on the Rookie. Guess who wins...
• Halo: Reach
  • "Tell 'em to make it count." Jorge
  • "Where does he get off calling a demolition op Priority O-" Kat, who's then sniped by an Elite.
  • "You're on your own, Noble. Carter out." Carter, who immediately rams his Pelican into a Scarab after saying this
  • "I'm ready! How 'bout you?!" Emile, as he kills the Elite who had just fatally stabbed him.
  • "Negative. I have the gun. Good luck, sir." Noble Six, who stays behind to cover the Pillar of Autumn's escape from Reach, and is killed by a squad of Elites during his/her last stand.

  • "My face will be the last thing your pathetic eyes ever see." Arbiter Ripa 'Moramee, who then gets stabbed twice by Sgt. Forge, who replies, "And for the record, I would've kicked your ass the first time if the lady hadn't stopped me.".
  • "Copy that. Get our people out of here. I'm blowing the core!" Sgt. John Forge
• Halo 4
  • "Your compassion for mankind is misplaced." The Ur-Didact to Cortana, who has taken control of the light bridge to hold him down. He then falls into a slipspace portal after having a grenade explode in his chest due to the Chief. But Halo: Escalation revealed that whole ordeal only knocked him out temporarily.
  • "Welcome home, John." Cortana, who uses up her remaining energy to protect John-117 (aka The Master Chief).
• Halo 5: Guardians
  • "Kill them!" Jul 'Mdama just before he is attacked and killed by Locke.
  • "I knew it! Kit Pitlimp has always been bound for destiny! I speak as one who has undergone the Great Journey! Now, I will talk to the gods! I will BE a god! I will—what is that creature? If you are a god, I...worship you! Otherwise...worship ME! Wait, no! NO!" Kit Pitlimp when he stumbles across a Promethean.
• Halo Wars 2
  • "Make the most of your victory, humans... It will be... your... last...." Decimus
• Halo Infinite
  • "Escharum's orders are that you should be brought before him! He did not specify in how many pieces." Tremonius. The one he's speaking to is Master Chief. You do the math.
  • "Welcome to my Tower, Master Chief. It is where you will be broken. It is where you will give up your secrets." Chak 'Lok. Again, Master Chief prevails.
  • "I will not relinquish to you the location. The Endless can never return!" 117649 Despondent Pyre, the Monitor of Installation 07, torn apart by the Harbinger.
  • "Brother! I'll kill you slowly for that, Spartan!" Hyperius, should his brother Tovarus be killed first.
  • "The coward deserved what he got! Now face me, Spartan!" Tovarus, should his brother Hyperius be killed first.
  • "Say goodbye..." Jega 'Rdomnai. Though his body cloaks upon his defeat, and he vanishes from the radar, so he may not be dead.
  • "Nothing ends. My death will inspire a thousand others... Tell them... I died well." Escharum, who dies in battle between the Master Chief, getting his wish of a fight between legends.
  • "The Endless will return." The Harbinger
  • "In these final moments, I know what my last mission is. I need to make sure you two learn from my mistakes. Become stronger because of them. I chose well, Master Chief. I really did. Now it's up to you." Cortana, in her final message to Master Chief, for real this time.

• The Duel
  • "Come in, Roh. What's the matter? " Han, Fal's wife, who's killed by Haka forcing Roh to do so.
  • "He's a demon!" An unlucky Grunt who then gets killed by Arbiter Fal.
  • "You are not worthy to speak [Han's] name. I promise it is the last you will utter!" Arbiter Fal, who dies after being sliced by Haka.
  • "There will be time for talk when I rule in your stead, and declare your shame, Arbiter." Haka, who after slicing Fal, dies from being stabbed in the gut by Fal's energy sword
• Homecoming
  • "I'm coming!" Ralph to Daisy, who follows this line by saying...
  • "Go, Ralph! Get that ship outta here, now!" Spartan Daisy-023, trying to tell Ralph to escape while the ship is under fire, but is ignored, and the ship gets destroyed.
• Babysitter
  • "We both know... that's— that's not gonna be possible." Spartan Cal-141, who died from wounds inflicted from protecting an ODST from being smashed by a Brute's gravity hammer
• The Package
  • "No..." Spartan Solomon, right before a decoy reading bomb goes off, killing him, and nearly getting Master Chief and Kelly killed.
  • "I'm losin' it! AAAAAAAAAGH!!" Spartan Arthur, as his flying booster frame gets crushed by a Covenant ship.
• Prototype
  • "I need you to be strong - strong enough to do what you've never done in your life. Can you be strong enough to allow yourself to be... can you just be human?" Female Marine under Sgt. "Ghost"'s command.
  • "Voice command authorization. Be Human." Sgt. "Ghost", who piloted a prototype mecha to delay a Covenant assault, until it was damaged beyond repair, and he detonated in a last act of defiance.
