Fred 2: Night Of The Living Fred (Film)
Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred is a 2011 comedy television movie which is a direct sequel to the first movie in the brief FRED franchise loosely based on the YouTube series of the character, and it premiered on Nickelodeon.

Here, Fred gets a new music teacher named Jake Devlin to replace Mrs. Felson, and Fred believes he is a vampire and goes on a mission to expose this to everyone due to his suspicious mannerisms to one. At first, he becomes a laughingstock, the second time around it works and everyone turns on Mr. Devlin who tries to move away, so Fred sets things right by saying he was the vampire and stages this with Talia, Kevin’s younger sister.

The third film Fred 3: Camp Fred followed the next year after this film was released on Nickelodeon.

Hello Ski-Tropes.

  • Ambiguous Situation: It’s left for interpretation when Mr. Devlin’s reflection didn’t show in the mirror, which indicates he was a vampire.
  • Asian Speekee Engrish: At the Chinese restaurant where Fred gets the garlic sauce from, the owners each talk this way.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Kevin is loving and protective of his sister Talia, especially towards end when Fred scares everyone with his vampire act.
  • Did Not Get the Girl: Prior to the events of the film, Fred and Judy “broke up” as he mentions at the beginning.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Kevin’s younger sister Talia whom he sweetly cares for. He also cares about his mom as we see her for the first time here.
  • Here We Go Again!: After all they went through, and when Fred’s mom invites Mr. Devlin to have a farewell lunch together due to their previous bonding, his reflection did not show in the mirror which makes Fred freak out and scream.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Mr. Devlin and Fred briefly form one due to Mr. Devlin dating his mother, and he invites Fred to his house after the recital attack to show he has no hard feelings.
  • Karma Houdini: Fred gets away with terrorizing Mr. Devlin the whole time. Subverted in that Mr. Devlin was never bothered by it and moves away out of his own decision.
  • Missing Reflection: Mr. Devlin does not have a reflection in the mirror in the very last frames.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Fred has one when he realizes he made everyone scared of Mr. Devlin by convincing them he’s a vampire and got him fired, and everyone believed it. Subverted in that Mr. Devlin moved away on his own free will.
  • Nice Guy: Mr. Devlin is a nice person and easily forgives Fred for all that he has done.
  • No Ending: Although Mr. Devlin’s “name was cleared” as Fred once believed, the last part of the film shows that Mr. Devlin’s reflection did not show in the mirror.
  • Pet the Dog: Kevin came off as genuinely concerned about Fred's safety when he was in Mr. Devlin's house.
  • Real After All: Mr. Devlin was likely a vampire as he did not cast a reflection in the mirror.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Mr. Devlin gets fired from being a teacher due to the vampire video Fred posted, which Fred is only a 15 year old teenager he invited to his house which isn’t allowed in school districts.
  • The Cloudcuckoolander Was Right: At the end, Mr. Devlin’s reflection did not show in the mirror when he and Fred’s mom go out for his farewell lunch.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Bertha and Talia respectively.
  • Verbal Tic: Mr. Devlin addresses everyone with the prefix “ski”
  • Walking Spoiler: Mr. Devlin was likely a vampire the whole time.
