  • Battle for Dream Island
    • In the stinger of IDFB 1, Leafy is about to toss a knife at Coiny and Fries, but is so horrified at witnessing the former subject himself to deep fried breaths that she slinks back into the bushes.
    • Blocky is a lethal prankster who likes to subject his victims to dying repeatedly, but as revealed in BFB 12, he won't pull of pranks if there are no recovery centers around.
    • In TPOT 8, Snowball is willing to shove other contestants off the balance beam, but is hesitant to do the same towards Teardrop when he notices how sick she is (due to spending the challenge inside Barf Bag's barf). He and Grassy team up to stop Are You Okay from pushing her off the beam. Even Eraser is hesitant to follow through with pushing Teardrop off the beam when he sees just how sick she appears.
  • DEATH BATTLE!:
    • Wiz is portrayed as a Mad Scientist who has no qualms in doing morally-dubious things, but there are two moments where even he was appalled. The first was when Boomstick mentioned that The Joker cut off his own face for a laugh. The second was learning of Doomsday's Dark and Troubled Past, not calling it science, but "baby murder". And this is after saying that he only turned down Boomstick's baby cannon because it was just impractical.
    • Despite being a known pervert, even Boomstick is creeped out that M. Bison created a female clone of himself to possess if his current body was destroyed. He also draws a line at making suggestive comments about underaged girls, considering during the Tifa Lockhart vs Yang Xiao Long episode, as he refrains from making suggestive comments about the 17 year-old Yang as opposed to the older Tifa. Additionally, after Wiz points out that Toph Beifong in her debut was 12, he stops a joke about her ability to change the density of dirt and he also avoids such jokes about Taokaka, who's frequently referred to in-universe as "kitten". Also, despite being a proud alcoholic, Boomstick is against driving while under the influence. Carnage vs. Lucy shows that he despises people who kill dogs, and upon hearing that some kids in Lucy's old orphanage killed her puppy right in-front her, he says she should tear them apart... and also of note, he seems genuinely stunned upon seeing the aftermath of Lucy actually killing the kids, despite his normal love of violence.
    • In Dr. Doom vs. Darth Vader, Boomstick is disgusted when he learns that Doom technically never graduated college (he awarded himself a degree after his take over of Latvia), calling it an insult to guys like him who had to bust their humps to earn a doctorate (granted, one in the poultry sciences, specializing in frying, but still). He later voices similar suspicions about Dr. Fate, but calms down when Wiz confirms he does.
  • Deep Space 69:
    • Jay might be the single most perverted and sex-obsessed character in the entirety of fiction, but he draws the line at brainwashing women for sex.
    • He may also shoot people without blinking on adventures, but he makes it clear he will not shoot a locksmith just to avoid paying.
  • FreedomToons: "Why Won't You Debate Me" starts silly, portraying Joe Biden as a scatter-brained senior, but the second part of his verse takes a darker turn: Biden admits that he doesn't know what he's doing and that he doesn't know why the DNC would nominate him. Donald Trump agrees that pushing Biden of all people into the spotlight to try to undermine him was really low of them.
  • Homestar Runner:
    • In the Strong Bad Email "property of ones", Strong Bad says that a Cold One that's not cold enough is basically "a Cold None" and that's something he wouldn't wish on anyone.
    • In "kids' book", Strong Bad sees the sender has signed their name as "Steve Buttz", which he reads as "Steve... never mind, I'm not even gonna touch that one."
    • In "isp", Strong Bad accuses Bubs (who is running Internet service in Free Country USA) of throttling his connection speed.
Bubs: "Throttling you down"? That's not one of the 99 ways I rip you off!
  • Played for laughs in If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device. High Lords of Terra spend most of their time debating whether laxatives and air should be restricted for their use only and aren't above constantly mocking one of their own, but mentioning the name of Old Folks' Home and even suggesting that one may go there is too much for them.
    • The... morally ambiguous... ex-Daemon Primarch Magnus the Red regards the Imperial practice of using Cherubim, which are dead babies reanimated as hideous cyborg minions, as absolutely disgusting. He blows up Cherubim with psychic bolts when he sees them.
  • Minilife TV: In "Baking Bran (PART 2)", Merlin is appalled that Squidtugo put a curse on a batch of his muffins that Chris and Ian planned to give to their friend Michael to cheer him up.
  • Object Overload:
    • Gamey will threaten to slap his contestants and shove them. However, the scene where the Cherries ask him to separate them pretty much sums up how much he isn't willing to actually hurt people:
Legless Cherry: SHE'S being a jerk.
Armless Cherry: And HE'S not co-operating.
      Gamey: So?
Armless Cherry: So!? Get rid of him!
Legless Cherry: (simultaneously) So!? Get rid of her!
Gamey: Uh, no. My contract states I'm not allowed to injure the contestants.
    • Crayon is a jerk to everyone (especially Melony), but is afraid of Lighter (who just so happens to be more of a jerk to everyone than her)
  • Overly Sarcastic Productions'': In the video on Narcissus, Red drawing a distinction between Narcissus rejecting his suitors and other mythological figures who remained chaste (Narcissus isn't asexual like the others, he's just so arrogant he thinks no one else is worthy of him) is accompanied by an illustration of Artemis and Athena watching Narcissus reject Echo and agreeing that he's a tool.
  • Red vs. Blue:
    • Sarge, despite being a Blood Knight and a Bad Boss who regularly tries to lead his squad on unnecessarily suicidal missions, puts his foot down when Carolina all but admits she plans on using The Blood Gulch Crew as Cannon Fodder in her and Church's senseless vengeance quest against The Director, and calls them out for trying to drag the rest of them down, for their own personal revenge, when they had caused the Blood Gulch Crew nothing but trouble. He also refuses to kill women regardless of sides and seems to believe that the bodies of fallen soldiers should be treated with respect, even if they belong to the enemy. Plus in season fifteen, after briefly making a Faceā€“Heel Turn just so he can continue to fight someone instead of just laying around, he immediately changes his mind after being ordered to kill a couple civilians.
    • After Tex decides to side with Wyoming and Omega/O'Malley and go along with the latter's plan to use Tucker's alien son as a tool in the war against the aliens and possibly enslave the aliens, Church, of all people is shocked and tries to stop her. Later after Agent Washington (with Delta's implied support) executes the already injured Agent South Dakota so she doesn't "slow them down", Church responds by calling him a "cold motherfucker". Though in Wash's defense, Church didn't know the type of person South was.
    • While Simmons and Grif's relationship is rather... complicated, Simmons has repeatedly shown that unlike Sarge, he would not outright abandon Grif. Also, while Simmons may be a Professional Butt-Kisser who's desperate to please Sarge in hope that one day Sarge will grow to see him like a son, even he has his limits with his superior, most notably when Sarge writes him off as crazy for claiming to have seen a tank, just because Sarge didn't see it himself.
    • Tex may be something of a jerk, but even she was horrified by the experiments/torture Alpha was put through by the Director.
    • Agent Washington/Recovery One may be willing to do some cold things, but killing Agent South Dakota, while she was mourning her dead brother was not one of them. Sadly, this was what command and South were counting on.
    • In the short "Unreal Estate", Grif is initially indifferent towards and ignores Simmons' complaints about his sister's attempts at a real-estate scam, where she intends to sell people homes in completely unlivable parts of the world, but even he joins in with Simmons on shaming her, when she tries to sell a home in the woods occupied by white supremacists. They eventually compromise on just using the scam on the white supremacists
  • RWBY:
    • While Sun Wukong is a kleptomaniac and fond of casually breaking the law, he does not support the actions of the White Fang, outright describing them as a "cult" that makes all Faunus look bad. Admittedly, this also stems from a Culture Clash as well since Vacuo, his home, is (relatively speaking) less overtly racist towards Faunus, meaning his perceptions of the White Fang glosses over how poorly Faunus are typically treated.
    • Raven Branwen is a self-absorbed, pretentious Social Darwinist and leader of a Bandit Clan who's willing to kill the previous Spring Maiden due to her "weakness", attack villages and kill innocent people, abduct Weiss to get a huge ransom, abandon her daughter for most of her life, and make a deal with Salem's forces to kill Qrow, her own brother, to save herself. Despite all this, she's appalled by Cinder Fall's sadism and how far she's willing to go for the sake of power, going so far as to openly call her a monster.
    • Winter Schnee and the Ace-Ops have Undying Loyalty to General Ironwood, following his orders virtually without question even if it means abandoning an entire city to die, attacking other people opposed to Salem, or in Winter's case, trying to take the Winter Maiden's power by force and arresting her own sister. However, they're all shocked and horrified when Ironwood casually shoots Councilman Sleet dead in front of them simply for demanding answers. The final straw is when Ironwood announces his intent to blow up Mantle if Penny doesn't return to him; they immediately turn on him in disgust.
    • Jacques Schnee is far from a good person, being an abusive parent who tore his family apart on top of being a Corrupt Corporate Executive. However, even he's highly squeamish of Ironwood's increasingly authoritarian behavior, and the lengths the latter is willing to go to get what he wants. It's telling that, at least up until his own crimes are revealed, that even his fellow councilmen after he's elected to Atlas' Council agree with him on Ironwood's lawbreaking and secrecy.
  • SHARE MY STORY: When the protagonist learns that Brandon and Clara broke up because of Brandon cheating on her, even though he feels that she got what she deserved, he can't help but feel sorry for her.
  • Spooky Month: While the Hatzgang are a trio of bullies, Robert and Ross are prone to have a bit more sense and logic compared to their leader, Roy:
    • In "The Stars", while they still actively helped Roy bully Skid and Pump, they look very concerned when he mentions that the spooky house is "where [his] uncle takes [him]", and the cut back to them after the Spooky Kids meet Eyes indicates they were trying to explain to him that whatever his uncle was doing, it wasn't okay.
    • In "Deadly Smiles", they loudly protest when Roy tells the spooky kids to give him their clothes, thinking that he meant all of them.
  • Terrible Writing Advice:
    • The series runs on Stylistic Suck, with J.P. Beaubien giving intentionally bad advice. Normally, he sarcastically tells rookie writers they should just copy the works and writing styles of other famous authors like J. R. R. Tolkien and George R. R. Martin. However, he warns the audience not to copy everything from H. P. Lovecraft since his outdated racist views will just land them in hot water.
    • He also refuses to give any advice on telling racist jokes besides "good luck".
    • JP massively overestimates his own skills, and usually encourages other writers to do the same. However, even he thinks it's ridiculous when the Inner Critic expects to get a six-figure deal from a publisher for his first-ever story.
  • In the Queer Duck episode "Tales of the City Morgue", Oscar Wildcat's story has him create a Frankenstein's Monster from the anatomy of various gay celebrities, then express horror at seeing that his monster is a massive gay stereotype.
Oscar Wildcat's monster: (singing) Hello, Frisco, hello!
Oscar Wildcat: Dear God! Is it possible to be too gay?!
  • Epithet Erased:
    • Per the "Two-lloween" cast reunion livestream, which is non-canonical but contains canonical character information, Stink - a juvenile, obnoxious Jerkass best described as the ideal target audience for every deliberately annoying toy produced in the mid to late nineties - is at least enlightened enough to acknowledge that Trixie is nonbinary. It's still in a very stupid context, namely "you're nonbinary, you can't have cooties", but per Prison of Plastic most of the class apart from Trixie's closest friends don't even get that far, and the fact that Stink of all people is outdoing them should make those students feel bad.
    • Lorelai Blyndeff in Epithet Erased: Prison of Plastic is a tremendously unpleasant and entitled person who thinks the world revolves around her, but for all her threats and bullying she doesn't actually want to hurt anyone. Whenever something produced from her Epithet causes an injury in Prison of Plastic, she tends to drop whatever act she's putting on and try to help, saving Rick's life when he takes a hit that wouldn't have hurt Molly but nearly kills him, and she verges on a panic attack when Molly takes a superficial injury in the final battle. Part of it is that she's afraid her Epithet started the fire that killed her mother, which means that hurting other people with her Epithet functions as a trauma trigger for her.
    • While Zora is generally both an antagonist and kind of an unpleasant person, in the scene where she ages Percy's gun to dust and mockingly blows it in her face, she does seem genuinely regretful and taken aback when Percy tells her the gun was a gift.
