Drinking Game / Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V

Go To

While Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V is probably one of the more deeper and complex Yu-Gi-Oh! series to have been created yet, it's still a Yu-Gi-Oh! series that makes for a target of a drinking game.

    Japanese Version
  • Take a drink for each time Yuya and Yuzu are mistaken for one of their counterparts and vice versa.
    • Or in Yugo's case, someone getting his name wrong.
  • Take a drink every time Yuya is saved by an Action Card.
    • Take two sips he failed to grab one, or the one he grabbed is unfit for the situation.
  • Take a shot every time Yuya puts his goggles over his eyes.
  • Down your drink every time Sora does something to seem even more suspicious.
  • Take a sip for every Pendulum Summon, two for each Xyz Summon or Synchro Summon, three for each Fusion Summon, and down the bottle for each Ritual Summon.
  • Take a shot for each summoning method (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum) beyond the first that a character uses in a Duel.
  • Take a shot if, prior to the Synchro Dimension arc, a card other than Yuya's Magicians of Astromancy and Chronomancy is ever played in a Pendulum Zone.
    • From the Synchro Arc onwards, make it a shot every time Yuya plays any Magician monster.
  • Down the glass every time an Extra Deck-Pendulum Monster is Summoned.
    • Down two glasses if someone other than Yuya Summons such a Monster.
  • Take a shot whenever Gongenzaka says "I, the man Gongenzaka...(etc.)"
  • If you're feeling really suicidal, take a shot every time Futoshi does his "Shivers!" Catchphrase.
    • Take two if it's not Futoshi.
  • If you're feeling even more suicidal, take a shot every time someone shouts (in Gratuitous English) "Ladies and Gentlemen!"
    • Take two shots if some other line is said in Gratuitous English, and three if Dennis is saying it.
  • Take a shot every time Yuya says "The fun has just started!" Take two if anyone else says it.
  • Take a really huge gulp if a non-Action Duel starts up.
  • Take a sip every time an Action Card is activated. Two if it's "Avoid" or "Miracle". Three if it's used to prevent lethal damage.
    • One more if it gets negated.
    • Take three sips if they use Action Cards for a slightly different purpose (e.g. discard costs).
    • Also take three if it's a Trap Card.
    • Down the bottle when Gongenzaka uses an Action Card.
  • Take a shot every time someone says "calculations" (keisan).
  • Take a shot when Kurosaki starts a monologue about his past.
  • Take a shot when Kurosaki declares an attack or activates an effect, then proceeds to embellish it with hammy detail.
  • Take a shot whenever Kurosaki indulges in Giving Someone the Pointer Finger.
  • Take a shot when Yuzu's fan appears. Two if she somehow doesn't end up swinging it at people.
  • When someone is shown to have Polymerization, take one sip for each person that reacts with surprise. This includes when Dennis draws his own Polymerization and reacts.
    • Down the bottle any time Yuri activates some other variation of Polymerization, such as Super Polymerization or Transcendental Polymerization.
  • After episode 37, take a shot every time Yuya has a flashback of Yuto telling him to bring smiles to people through dueling.
  • For each character turned into a card, take a drink. Do NOT count the Xyz Arc's intro for this, it will kill you on its own.
    • Conversely, take a drink if a character is about to be carded but the process gets interrupted.
  • Take a drink every time Sawatari talks about how great he is. Take two every time Sawatari asks if someone knows who his father is or threatens telling his father on someone.
  • Take a drink whenever someone says "But you still take the damage!" when their opponent uses a card to prevent their monster from being destroyed by battle.
  • Every time a 5D's character that ISN'T Jack or Crow cameos in an episode, take a drink.
  • Take a small sip every time a character defeats multiple enemies at the exact same time. I hope your liver is prepared for the Battle Royal.
  • Take a sip each time the Battle Royale intrusion penalty kicks in.
  • Take a sip each time an additional enemy uses the same set of cards as his cohort.
  • Take a sip the word "egao" is used. Warning, Do not use alcohol for this. You will have one hell of a hangover tomorrow.
  • Take a drink if Yuzu's name is called.
    • Take another is it's Yuya calling that name. Warning, Do not use alcohol for this during episodes 50, 51, 69 and 128. You WILL DIE.
      • And the reverse: Take a drink every time Yuya's name is called, and two if it is Yuzu. Of course, the aforementioned warning applies here too, especially after episode 54. Even more fun: You can also add a drink for any time Yuzu calls Yugo's name (Fusion Summons during duels optional).
  • Take a shot when Sawatari loses a duel. Take two if he loses off-screen.
    • Finish your drink if it was against one of the Yuu's. This includes Zarc.
  • Take a shot when an opponent's monster is used against them. Take two if it's a Pendulum Monster.
  • Take a shot every time Jack Atlas appears and says absolutely nothing.
  • Take a shot each time Melissa Claire recites the Friendship Cup's slogan.
  • Take a shot when Tokumatsu does his (incredibly long) catch phrase speech thing.
    • Or just any time Tokumatsu says "Let's Enjoy!"
  • Take a drink when someone tries to physically beat up someone instead of dueling them.
    • Two if they actually succeed.
  • Take a gulp each time Reiji says "keikaku" (plan). If it's in Gratuitous English, takes two gulps.
  • Take a sip every time Roget is seen with a chess piece. Take two if he used one to symbolize a character.
  • Take a gulp every time Yuri does a Nightmare Face. Follow with a sip if he mocked someone after doing it.
  • Take a shot every time Yuri giggles.
  • Meta-wise, take a shot every time the series spawn a meme. Down the entire bottle if the meme isn't just limited to the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom.
  • Another meta-wise, take a shot when an episode with Animation Bump is followed by an episode with many Off-Model moments. Same can be done for its reverse.
  • Take a shot every time someone acts like a Jerkass. It is highly advised to disregard this rule during the Synchro Arc (Especially Episodes 78 to 80), or if the people in question are the Obelisk Force.
  • Take a shot every time the Real Solid Vision causes property damage. Do not do this in duels related to Kurosaki, for your own safety.
  • Take a shot every time Roget's plans fail or don't go as expected. Warning: don't do this during episode 94 if you treasure your liver.
  • Take a shot every time one of the Yuus goes Berserk.
  • Take a shot each time one of the four Dimension Dragons (Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, or Starve Venom Fusion Dragon) is summoned. Take another if an upgraded version of one is summoned. If multiple dragons are combined to summon a single monster, take a shot for each one.
  • Take a shot every time Kaito says "Are you ready to repent?"
  • Take a shot every time an attack is declared involving a Defense position monster followed by an explanation that the attacking monster inflicts Piercing Damage.
    • Take another if the battle damage resulted in the duel ending.
  • Take a shot every time Yuzu's bracelet teleports one of Yuya's counterparts away.
  • Take a shot every time one of the Dragon Boys says something along the lines of "We will become one!". Warning: don't try this during Yuya and Yuri's Duel. You'll be dead by the end of it if you do.
  • Take a shot whenever Yugo says something along the lines of "Yugo janae! Yugo da!". Take three shots if someone interrupts him or berates him after.
  • Take a shot if someone fails to grab an Action Card, unintentionally or otherwise.

    English Version
  • Take a shot when you recognize a famous voice/accent (Except Gong's Elvis impersonation)
  • Take a shot when a Pendulum Summon occurs.
    • Take two if it is anyone other than Yuya.
  • Take a sip whenever Gong uses the third person to refer to himself.
  • Take a shot when the villains act pragmatically, such as attempting to steal cards by force after losing a duel.
  • Take a sip whenever Yuya's pendant appears in a duel.
  • Take a sip anytime Zuzu gets mad at Yuya. Take a shot if she hits him.
  • Add a dash of your drink to a large glass whenever you hear a pun. At the end of the episode, down the glass (or two).
  • Take a shot whenever someone has to explain Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon's monster effect.
  • Take a sip for every Amusing Injury, or a shot if you don't value your liver.
  • Take a shot whenever an Extra Deck Summon occurs.
    • Alternatively, take a sip anytime a Special Summon occurs. If you're really hardcore, turn this one into a shot, and say adios to your liver.
  • Take a shot whenever they make a bad joke for Yugo's name.
    • If you've also watched the original, take two shots if the dub replaces a joke about Yugo's name with something unrelated.
