Rareware's iconic series is ostensibly a E-rated kids-only affair, but it's loaded with more than enough innuendos and other Parental Bonus content to go around for the whole family.

Examples:

• Rather than read the article, you might watch these two (somewhat satirical, though, keep that in mind) videos that do this job for us: here and here.
• The Game Over scene in the original game is so full of this it's a wonder it made it through. Grunty succeeds in stealing Tooty's youth and beauty and emerges from Klungo's machine as a total bombshell. And on top of it all, her Simlish in this form sounds like orgasmic moans, and Mumbo invites her to spend the night at his hut.
• In Banjo-Tooie, there is a chamber where cheat codes are entered. The top line reads "ESRA"; reversed, it spells "ARSE" (and possibly a thinly-veiled poke at the ESRB). Knowing the sense of humour favoured by the game's creators, the British company Rareware, this was probably intentional.
• As shown in the page image, the path to Mumbo's Skull in Tooie's Terrydactland looks like an ejaculating penis. However, the creators claim this was unintentional.
• After helping Boggy with his dinner in Hailfire Peaks, he mentions something about waiting for his "Bear Babes DVD" that should be "hot stuff".
• In the first game, when you meet Trunker the thirsty palm in Gobi's Valley, this conversation takes place:
  "Trunker wants rain... Gasp, I'm shriveling up!"
  "How's your nuts, bark breath?"
  "Kazooie!"
• Banjo-Tooie featured a life-draining super-weapon with only two buttons on it — "Suck" and "Blow". And the weapon's name? Big-O-Blaster, abbreviated B.O.B., which also stands for Battery-Operated Boyfriend...
• The air plug on the giant inflatable Mr. Patch is located between its legs, though Nuts & Bolts has the plug be on Mr. Patch's chest instead.
• The crates in Grunty Industries labelled "Big-O-Pants".^note Big O is slang for an orgasm. Nice!
• In the first game, one of Grunty's possible secrets that Brentilda tells you is that her party trick is a "scary striptease."
• In the "Tower of Tragedy" segment, the incorrect answers for one particular question are the names "Roger the Cabin Boy" and "Rear Admiral Browneye." (Grabbed by the Ghoulies actually has a character with the former name.) Another question offers incorrect answers "W. Anchor" and "M. Bates." (Two of which are a Shout-Out to the false innuendo accusations leveled at Captain Pugwash.)
• As well as Kazooie apparently "liking it rough".
• Jolly's Bar has several instances of this:
  • The menu: "Seaman's Surprise", "Salty Dumplings", "Toad in the Hole"? (Though at least the last of these is a real dish.) Just what sort of establishment is Jolly running anyway?
  • Behind the bar there is a barrel labeled "Ginger Beer", which, while it is an actual beverage, it's also Cockney rhyming slang for "queer", or a gay man. Pretty much everything about Jolly is a gay joke.
  • One of the incorrect answers to a Jolly Roger question in the Tower of Tragedy is "Cabin Boy's sausage". Err...
  • Jolly Roger himself comes across as a gay stereotype, what with the way he talks and sways. Just listen to his "voice."
  • His... partner, Merry Maggie Malpass, who has a rather masculine physique and a deeper voice than he does. And when you rescue "her", she claims that Jolly will "need a little relief".
    • Jolly will say this exact quote if you hit him with your wrench or run into him with your vehicle in Nuts and Bolts:
    "Ooh no. Get off! I don't like the rough stuff!"
• Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts keeps this trend going:
  • Mumbo has a coconut farm in Nutty Acre's called "Mumbo's Nuts" and worries that when a bomb explodes, his nuts will be blown sky-high.
    • In the mission "Grunty's Loco Coco", Banjo points out to Kazooie that when the titular Loco Coco finally falls, it will be the "daddy of all nuts".
  • One of the achievements is called "Shower of Gold", and we all know what a "golden shower" is....
  • One of Banjo Land's mission titles is "You'll Go Blind, You Clanker." In context, the title makes perfect sense, as the mission involves protecting Clanker's eyes from being assaulted and stolen. But thinking about what Clanker rhymes with...
• Tooie introduces several characters with "Minge" in their names. Just to count, there's Mingella, Mingy Jongo, and, of course, the Minjos. However it's more likely these are punning on "mingy" a British term for a mean or stingy person.
  • There's also Klungo's name...
• In Grunty's Revenge, Honey B, who is responsible for extending Banjo's life meter, will be happy to "give you an extension!", and Banjo claims: "I can't wait to get my hands on your honeycombs!"
  • Honey B, in general, being a sexy, big busted flirt who calls Banjo "Big Bear" and lets him call her "Honey".
• Also in Grunty's Revenge, there is a character named Momma Clucker.
• The Saucer of Peril has "bleep" as a Verbal Tic. When you win both prizes in the Saucer ride in Tooie it tells you you've won two bleeping prizes.
• When you win the first Jiggy from Canary Mary in the mines, she says it's been shoved up under her wing for a while, which Kazooie finds gross. Not too bad by itself, but it's followed up when you win the Cheato page from the second race when she begins to say where it's been before Kazooie cuts her off. So where was that page, exactly?
• Lord Woo Fak Fak. According to Word of God, his name was inspired by Paul Machacek, who developed a reputation of Sir Swears-a-Lot in Rare due to his colorful vocabulary when confronted with a programming issue, along with yelling "Woo!" whenever things go right.
• Another one from Tower of Tragedy:
  What item did the pawnbroker at Jolly Roger's Lagoon have for sale?
  >A Jinjo
  >A Cheato page
  >A pawn magazine
• The bikini girl from the first game's ending carrying two giant, conspicuously placed melons... and a banana.
  • Grant Kirkhope, the composer of this game, said in an episode of Game Grumps that the girl actually did have massive breasts when the game was in development, but Nintendo thought it was inappropriate.
    Grant: And, like, this woman comes by with... she had, like, a tray of cocktails, I think, something like that... and she had massive, y'know, boobs. And, erm, Nintendo didn't like that.
    Egoraptor: Of course they wouldn't!
    Grant: So, what we did was, we took the drinks off the tray and put two huge melons on the tray instead, so she walks by with these two massive melons. We thought it was hilarious at the time, but nobody else did.
• Mumbo's chant "Oomenacka" is actually composer Grant Kirkhope complaining about pain in his swollen testicle. "Knackers" is British slang for balls, so the phrase is actually "Ooh, me knacker!"
  • On that note, one of the secrets Brentilda will tell you is that Gruntilda's dog's name is 'Bigknaka'. That swollen testicle left a remarkable impression on the game, it seems.
• Grunty's last name, "Winkybunion", is another instance (at least, according to Grant Kirkhope during the AGDQ2015 speedrun) - "Winky" being British slang for "penis".
  • This effectively means that, in Tooie when Banjo learns Grunty's last name and says "Whatever you say, Winky!", he effectively just called her a dick.
• "Treasure Trove Cove's got a treasure hunt, how many X's, you little runt?"
• In the German version of the game, Gruntilda always speaks in rhymes just like in the English version. Interesting is the one instance where she doesn't:

  "Gruntilda bläst euch jetzt den Marsch,
  ich versohle euch den Hintern!"^{Literal English translation} Gruntilda now hauls you over the coals, I will give you a caning! The catch is that "Hintern" is "butt", but "Marsch" actually rhymes with a quite more vulgar word for the same thing.

• In the Stop n' Swap preview shown after getting 100% Completion in the original game, Mumbo shows the duo a large ice key. Kazooie tells Mumbo she knows where he can shove that ice key, which Banjo admonishes her for.
• After retrieving the stolen idol from the cavemen in Mayahem Temple in Tooie, we get an exchange from the owner who says "Why those thieving little..." before Banjo tells him it's a family game. While this may have been a reference to Homer Simpson's famous catchphrase, the fact Banjo cuts him off means he was going to say something vulgar. Exactly which word he was about to say is left to the player's imagination.
• The giant turtle in Bubblegloop Swamp in Kazooie is named Tanktup. "Tanked up" is slang for being extremely drunk.
• The train in Tooie is named Chuffy. While "chuff" is a word pertaining to a sound that steam engines make, it is also slang for "vagina".
