The heroes have vanished and it’s up to their sidekicks to find out why! Vanished is the name of a superhero roleplay that originated on the Neopets roleplay forum before relocating to a Pro Board to escape the filters and restrictions of the original host. Though the plot has shifted to be arc based and thus Vanished is an Artifact Title as the plot has moved on to its second arc (Blood Red) with a third (Genesis) already planned out.
The original Vanished story was contained to Washington DC as six (Eventually seven) sidekicks had to gather their wits about them and stop the evil Shadow from bringing an alien force to conquer the Earth and find a way to rescue their mentors. They succeeded. Until Blood Red came around ten years later and said aliens invaded anyway.

- Scott made the mistake of fighting the Valdorn berserker Torvus. She likely would have killed him had he not had his sonic howl to fall back on.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Many of the original characters of Vanished were still being conceptualized as the story went on. Their personalities and quirks are much more concrete in Blood Red, but reading the original Vanished arc shows plenty of inconsistencies.
