Darth Wiki / Ragnarok: Ragna Guardian

Go To

Ragnarok Ragna Guardian is a story on Quotev, which is still under construction.

It features 4 kid attending Tatsukami Junior High, who are called to a distant world. Shiro, Saya, Roku, and Reiko are called to Ragnarok, where they find out they are The Chosen Many, tasked with preserving the Ragna stones.

Lots of humour guaranteed.

The tropes will not be in alphabetical order.

This story contains examples of the following:

  • Idiot Hero: Shiro is explained in the character introduction chapter:
    Guide: Shiro is an idiot.
    • Double Subverted with Shiro. He is an idiot, but he has been exaggerating his own stupidity most of the time.
    • Reiko isn't much better either.
    • Kindhearted Simpleton: Despite this, Shiro is the nicest character in the series.
  • The Good, the Bad, and the Evil:
    • Shiro and the Guardians are the good guys who want to prevent the Gods' War, and so are the Element Four, as not only do they side with the Guardians, but Shiro is one of them.
    • Anki and the Initiators are bad as they are trying to let the War carry on, and are actively against the Guardians.
    • Kuro is the evil, as he started the War
  • Fighter, Mage, Thief: Shiro is the Fighter who excels at offense, but has bad magic. Saya is the Mage who has good magic and bad defender, and Roku is the Thief who is a Fragile Speedster. Reiko qualifies as a ranged Fighter, who has good defenses, but is slower than frozen molasses.
    • In the next Power Trio, we have Mukuro as the axe wielding Fighter, Anki as the Magic Staff wielding Mage, and Shin as the shortsword wielding Thief.
  • Balance, Power, Skill, Gimmick: Shiro is the Balance, having an equal amount of force and finesse. Reiko is Power, focusing on tanking the enemy, and Roku is Skill, focusing on technique. Saya is the Gimmick, mainly using magic.

  • Dumb Blonde: Reiko is pure blonde and quite stupid. Shiro is dirty blond and 1% smarter.

  • Brainy Brunette: Brown haired Roku and purple haired Saya, on the other hand, are insanely wise.

  • Only Sane Man: Saya.

  • Color Motifs: Shiro is green, Saya is purple, Roku is red, and Reiko is yellow.

  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: One would assume Shiro is red and Roku is blue. But they'd be wrong. Roku is red because of the Hot-Blooded streak that Shiro lacks. Shiro is blue because for the most part, he is a Mellow Fellow.

    • Shiro is still the red to Shrinking Violet Saya's blue.

    • Reiko is Hot-Blooded and idiotic. Saya is calm and shy.

    • Shiro and Shiki. Shiro has a lot of energy in him, while Shiki is very serious at her work. Also, Shiki doesn't joke around with Ragnarok much, while Shiro thinks it's just a game (to be fair, though, he's not entirely wrong).

  • Expy: The story as a whole is one to Problem Children Are Coming From Another World Arent They. A group of kids are summoned to another world by a Humanoid Animal, who has tasked them with saving a group of people. The premise has something to do with games.

    • It may also remind some people of Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon.
    • The six main characters are expies to the survivors of Danganronpa:

    • Shiro is Makoto Naegi, being a Wide-Eyed Idealist in a world with a lot of assorted atrocities. He also has this strange fondness of dramatically announcing that the enemy is wrong. Though he's more like the one from Danganronpa Abridged Thing.

    • Saya is Kyouko Kirigiri, being a pro detective, the Only Sane Man, and having purple hair.

    • Roku is Byakuya Togami, being somewhat of a douche and one of the more cynical members of the party. He's also part of a Hair-Contrast Duo with the protagonist, and has family issues.

    • Reiko is Aoi Asahina, being a sports nut, idealistic, and somewhat of a ditz.

    • Shiki is Touko Fukawa, being the glasses wearing girl with dark hair, and is contrasted with The Spock.

    • Kuroku is Yasuhiro Hagakure, being the oldest cast member, but never acting as such. He also has Psychic Powers.

    • Shiro and Anki could remind some of Pit and Dark Pit. Or Sonic and Shadow.

  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Roku is definitely one. He cares about the team, but hides it with utter contempt.

  • Sarcastic Devotee: Roku, who constantly mocks Shiro's stupidity, but would follow him to the end of Ragnarok.

  • Otaku: Shiro and Roku have been playing games for a long time, and are absolute professionals.

    • I Know Mortal Kombat: The reason Shiro and Roku are so skilled at fighting is because of their expertise at gaming's Fighter and Thief classes.

  • The Four Gods: They appear as a Quirky Miniboss Squad.
    • Shiro handled Byakko
    • Roku took on Seiryu
    • Saya defeated Genbu
    • Reiko fought Suzaku.

  • Japanese Spirit: The first three characters represent one each;

    • Shiro is Seishin, or Will, being The Determinator, and never giving up, no matter what the circumstances.
    • Saya is Chie, or Insight, being the most intelligent character, and always knowing what to do in the face of danger.
    • Roku is Koyu, or Skill, being the team's best fighter.

  • Noob: Reiko has to get corrected in battle by a slime.

  • Mellow Fellow: When he's not being a Keet, god damn if Shiro isn't calm. When the Ragna portal is being destroyed and Death Ragna is bursting out, Reiko, Kuroku, Roku, and even Saya are scared for their lives, while Shiro is just smiling through it all. Though it's probably because he knows that Thor planned this, and it won't harm any innocents.
  • Counterpart Artifacts: The Infinity -1 Sword Natsumi, which boosts Attack and Magic, is fire related, and is a BFS. The other one is Fuyuki, which boosts Defense and Speed, is ice related, and is a Royal Rapier. Yuki wields Natsumi and Shiro ends up using Fuyuki.
