Darth Wiki / Pokemon Mind And Matter

Go To

Pokémon Mind and Matter is a Pokémon game idea created by Sunflorazumarill that launched in May 2023. It is the sixth entry the SFA-Verse, following Pokémon Aquamarine and Turquoise. Like the rest of the SFA-Verse, it takes characters from various games, anime, manga, visual novels, and more and puts them in various roles such as important Trainers, Gym Leaders, Elite Four, villains, etc., and also introduces new Pokémon.

The game takes place in Cirquoisa, a region based off of mainly Michigan, but also including elements of Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana. Surrounded by three colossal lakes known as the Grand Lakes, Cirquoisa is divided into two distinct areas, the warm and sunny lower peninsula, and the cold and frigid upper peninsula, with a large number of comparatively smaller lakes found throughout the region. Pokémon Mind and Matter is an open world game, contrasting the entries prior to it.

     Sprucein, Antimber, and Caribrest

A small Grass-type caribou, Sprucein has antlers made of hard wood, which prevents them from breaking off easily. It lives in forests and other wooded areas, where the moss that grows on its back helps it to blend in with plants as to avoid predators. At Level 16, Sprucein becomes Antimber, where it gains the Rock-type. With antlers made of petrified wood, Antimber is charged with protecting the Sprucein in its forest, defending them when needed. At Level 36, it becomes Caribrest, with petrified wood lining its back as well as coating its hooves and forming a collar around its neck. Revered as the guardian of the forest in which it resides, Caribrest punishes anyone, be it human or Pokémon, that endangers any of those that live in its forest.

The more of them that a person sees, the closer they are to death. • Power Nullifier: Spirizure and Lepidether's Shield Dust ability prevents any additional effects of damaging moves targeting them. In addition, their Ghost-typing makes them immune to Normal-type and Fighting-type moves as well as the effects of trapping moves and abilities.
  • Pretty Butterflies: Both of them are butterflies with gorgeously intricate and translucent wings, although given their nature, it's not a good idea if you see one of them.
  • Shinigami: Spirizure and Lepidether basically come off as this, as they're based on the concept of "spirit butterflies". They're said to only appear to those that don't have long to live, with Lepidether appearing to those that are in the process of dying.

A sentient lemon, Lemini is a Grass-type Pokémon that moves by rolling or hopping. It has a sour demeanor and sprays extremely sour lemon juice from its mouth at those it doesn't like. Lemini is known to thrive in warm climates. At Level 20, it joins with two other Lemini to become Citrio, which are attached by their leaves, but are known to bicker and spray juice at one another. At Level 40, Citrio becomes Citree, a Grass and Electric-type lemon tree composed of three Citrio spread amongst its branches. Trying to take one of its lemons will result in Citree spraying a stream of very concentrated lemon juice at the thief while pursuing them. Alternatively, Citrio can be given the Glass Pitcher to become Citrinade, a Grass/Water pitcher of lemonade. Due to how sour this lemonade is, be careful if you try to drink it.

  • Always Accurate Attack: Citree starts off with Magical Leaf, a Grass-type attack that never misses.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: Lemini and Citrio are living lemons.
  • Bullet Seed: The Lemini family gets Bullet Seed, a multi-hit Grass-type attack, by level up.
  • Confusion Fu:
    • Citree can know damaging Grass-type, Electric-type, Bug-type, Ground-type, Rock-type, Fighting-type, Dark-type, Steel-type, Fairy-type, Poison-type, Ice-type, and Normal-type moves.
    • Citrinade can know damaging Grass-type, Water-type, Crystal-type, Psychic-type, Ice-type, Electric-type, Bug-type, Poison-type, Rock-type, Steel-type, Fairy-type, Dark-type, and Normal-type moves.
  • Counter-Attack: Citrinade gets Mirror Coat, which does double the damage it took from a Special Attack, by Move Reminder.
  • Death or Glory Attack: Citree gets Wood Hammer, a powerful Grass-type attack that causes recoil damage, by level up.
  • Elemental Absorption: Citrinade has the Solar Growth ability, which makes it immune to Grass-type moves, which instead raise its Defense and Special Defense.
  • Fire, Ice, Lightning: All but Lemini learn the Normal-type move Tri Attack, which can either burn, freeze, or paralyze the opponent.
  • Geo Effects: Citree starts off with Electric Terrain, which increases the power of Electric-type moves for five turns.
  • Green Thumb: Lemini and its evolutions are Grass-type Pokémon based on lemons.
  • Highly Specific Counterplay: Their ability of Citric Shock is only effective if the opponent uses a biting move against them, which while not uncommon, doesn't happen that often.
  • Life Drain: They learn Leech Seed, which has them drain HP from the opponent to heal themselves each turn.
  • Magikarp Power: Lemini is quite a weak Pokémon, with poor stats and getting few moves by level up. It becomes better upon becoming Citrio and even better upon becoming Citree or Citrinade.
  • Making a Splash: Citrinade is a Water-type Pokémon due to it being based off of lemonade.
  • Mighty Glacier: Citree has great HP and Special Attack alongside massive Special Defense and average Defense, but is very slow.
  • Pun: The Lemini line are said to have a sour temperament, given that they're lemons, which are sour.
  • Secret Art:
    • Lemini and its family are the only Pokémon that learn the Grass-type move Juice Spray, which is also super-effective against Fire-type Pokémon.
    • Lemini, Citrio, and Citree are only ones with the ability Citric Shock, which if they're hit by a biting move (ex: Bite, Crunch), the opponent is guaranteed to become paralyzed.
  • Shock and Awe: Citree is an Electric-type Pokémon.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The Lemini line's faces each look a little like that of Earl Lemongrab, who is also known for having a sour personality.
    • Citree's Matter Pokédex entry bringing up how Suncoast City has a large Citree held in high regard that was once stolen by Rapidega City references an episode of The Simpsons where Springfield's lemon tree was stolen by Shelbyville.
  • Squishy Wizard: Citrinade has massive Special Attack alongside very good HP and Special Defense, but has poor Attack and Defense.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Lemini and its evolutions learn Rapid Spin, a Normal-type attack that frees them from trapping moves and removes entry hazards.
  • Status Buff: They all learn Growth, which raises both their Attack and Special Attack.
  • When Trees Attack: Citree is a sentient lemon tree that will go after anyone who takes any of its lemons (which themselves are sentient) from it.

     Harkandi and Kandigem

A living piece of rock candy, Harkandi is a Crystal/Fairy-type Pokémon known for the delicious pieces of it that break off of its body. These pieces are known to be processed into treats that can be found in every candy store in Cirquoisa, especially since it has twelve forms referred to as Flavors. Harkandi becomes Kandigem, which has a body shaped like that of a Ring Pop. Kandigem pieces are even more delicious, but are known to break off much more rarely. Candies made from these pieces are more high-end to the point that they can only be found in special stores or online.

  • All Your Colors Combined: Kandigem's Mind Pokédex entry says that there are rumors of Kandigem that come in all the colors/Flavors they can be found in, although such a Kandigem has yet to be found.
  • Always Accurate Attack: Harkandi and Kandigem learn Disarming Voice, a Fairy-type attack that never misses, very early on.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: They're pieces of rock candy that happen to be alive. Pieces of them are actually known to be eaten, both raw and as various candy products.
  • Attack Reflector: Harkandi and Kandigem learn Mirror Glass, a Fairy-type move that reflects special attacks aimed at them back to the attacker.
  • Barrier Warrior: They get two much moves by level up; Light Screen, a Psychic-type move that halves all special damage done to their side for five turns, and Prism Shield, a Crystal-type move that quarters all damage done to them, but only for two turns.
  • Chromatic Arrangement: The colors of Harkandi and Kandigem's forms are arranged in such a fashion, as shown how they're color-coded as listed below.
  • Cold Iron: Due to their Crystal/Fairy-typing, they have a double Weakness to Steel-type attacks.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Each of Harkandi and Kandigem's Flavors has a specific color pertaining to it; pink (Strawberry), red (Cherry), orange (Orange), dark yellow (Banana), yellow (Lemon), dark green (Lime), green (Apple), teal (Mango), blue (Blueberry), indigo (Plum), violet (Grape), and magenta (Raspberry).
  • Confusion Fu: Kandigem can know damaging moves that are Crystal-type, Fairy-type, Psychic-type, Rock-type, Electric-type, Light-type, Grass-type, Ice-type, Steel-type, Bug-type, and Normal-type.

  • Life Drain: Harkandi gets Draining Kiss, a Fairy-type attack that heals it by up to three-quarters of the damage dealt, through breeding.
  • Missing Secret: Even though Harkandi's Matter Pokédex entry says there are said to be Harkandi that come in two Flavors rather than one, such Harkandi cannot be found in-game.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Although Harkandi and Kandigem are Fairy-type Pokémon, they're actually pieces of rock candy.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Kandigem is pretty small for a fully-evolved Pokémon with great defensive stats and good Special Attack at only 1'4 (0.4m) and weighing 15.0 lbs (6.8 kg).
  • Power Nullifier: Harkandi and Kandigem's Sweet Veil ability negates any effects that would inflict sleep on them or their allies. In addition, their typing of Crystal and Fairy make them immune to both Water and Dragon moves.
  • Rainbow Motif: Harkandi and Kandigem's forms have a bit of this, seeing that they're ordered after the colors of the rainbow.
  • Rolling Attack: Harkandi gets Rollout, a Rock-type attack that increases in power with each turn, as an Egg Move, and can know Ice Ball, an Ice-type variant, by Move Tutor.
  • Shout-Out: Harkandi's shape is meant to resemble that of Star Bits from Super Mario Galaxy, while Kandigem's shape resembles that of a Ring Pop.

     Alkadrake

     Magnetorb and Magnetrode

A convergent form of Voltorb, Magnetorb is a Steel/Cosmic-type sphere that comes off as a miniature magnetar. Bright blue in color, it generates an extremely strong magnetic field that's visible around its body and able to affect things from hundreds of meters away. At Level 30, it becomes Magnetrode, which generates an immense magnetic field that affects anything susceptible to magnetism within a radius of five miles, can fire magnetic flares and plasma, and even discharge electromagnetic pulses.

  • Action Bomb: Like Voltorb and Electrode, they learn Selfdestruct and Explosion, extremely powerful Normal-type attacks that knock out the user.
  • Always Accurate Attack: Magnetorb and Magnetrode get Magnet Bomb, a Steel-type attack that never misses, as an Egg Move.

  • Confusion Fu: Magnetrode can know damaging moves that are Steel-type, Cosmic-type, Electric-type, Rock-type, Psychic-type, Fairy-type, Light-type, Bug-type, Chemical-type, Ground-type, Crystal-type, Fighting-type, Ice-type, and Normal-type.
  • Counter-Attack: They learn Mirror Coat, a Psychic-type attack that does twice the damage done to them by any special attacks.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: They learn Magnet Rise, an Electric-type attack that makes them immune to Ground-type attacks, but their ability of Levitate already does that.
  • EMP: Magnetrode is capable of launching electromagnetic pulses at random that end up trashing electronics within a huge radius.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Magnetorb and Magnetrode are Steel-type Pokémon.
  • Fragile Speedster: Like Voltorb and Electrode, Magnetorb and Magnetrode are fast, but most of their other stats are either below average or poor.
  • Glass Cannon: Magnetrode has great Special Attack and extremely high Speed, but its HP and defenses are low.
  • Gravity Master: They learn Gravity Hold, a Cosmic-type (formerly Psychic-type) attack that does more damage the higher the opponent's maximum HP is, as well as do double damage against airborne opponents.
  • Herd-Hitting Attack: Magnetorb gets Spatial Pulse, a Cosmic-type attack that normally hits one target, but if it misses or is blocked, on the next turn, it hits all adjacent Pokémon and never misses.
  • Hollywood Magnetism: Being a tiny magnetar, Magnetorb generates a super-strong magnetic field that can rival Pokémon such as Magnezone and Komagrove. Magnetrode generates a magnetic field several magnitudes more powerful than even that, with it also discharging magnetic flares or pulses in the process.
  • No Biological Sex: Magnetorb and Magnetrode don't have genders, much like their Electric-type distant relatives.
  • Power Floats: They have Levitate as their ability, which makes them immune to Ground-type moves, one of their two weaknesses.
  • Rolling Attack: They get Rollout, a Rock-type attack of increasing power, by level up, and can know its Ice-type equivalent of Ice Ball by Move Tutor.
  • Shock and Awe: Magnetorb and Magnetrode learn Magna Crush, a special-based Steel-type attack that calculates damage as if it were Electric-type, and can know several more Electric-type moves by level up, TM, and Move Tutor.
  • Space Is Magic: They happen to be a Cosmic-type Pokémon that are based on magnetars.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Magnetorb and Magnetrode learn Gyro Ball, a Steel-type attack that does more damage the slower the user is than the opponent. Given their extremely high Speed and low Attack, it's not a good move for them.
  • Underground Monkey: Averted, as Magnetorb and Magnetrode are very similar to Voltorb and Electrode, but happen to be completely different Pokémon.

     Larisor and Giacisor

Based off of the giant beaver and resurrected from the Tail Fossil, Larisor is an Ice/Water-type Pokémon that was found in cooler temperatures. Said to be the ancestor to Bidoof, Bibarel, and other beaver Pokémon (such as ones from other fan projects), it was home in the water and would use its large, hard teeth to cut through objects such as large tree trunks. At Level 40, it becomes Giacisor, with massive teeth coated in ice that could chew through ice and rock.

  • Action Initiative: They learn Aqua Jet, a Water-type move with increased priority.
  • An Ice Person: As they're resurrected from the ice, Larisor and Giacisor are Ice-type Pokémon.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Via Move Reminder, Giacisor gets Quake Crunch, a Ground-type attack that's as strong as Earthquake that also lowers the oppoent's Defense.
  • HP to One: Larisor and Giacisor learn Endure, which makes it so if they were to be knocked out by an attack, their HP instead becomes one.
  • Making a Splash: They both happen to be Water-type Pokémon.
  • Man Bites Man:
    • Larisor and Giacisor get several biting moves by level up in Bite, Ice Fang, Crunch, Hyper Fang, and Super Fang. They also get Poison Fang as an Egg Move, Psychic Fangs by TM, and Giacisor gets Quake Crunch by Move Reminder.
    • Their Special Fangs ability boosts the power of biting moves by 25% and makes them special attacks, which goes well with their high Special Attack.
  • Mighty Glacier: Giscisor has very good HP and Special Defense alongside average Attack and Defense and awesome Special Attack, but its Speed is poor.
  • Mythology Gag: Like the other Cirquoisan fossils, them being Ice-type Pokémon from the Ice Age is inspired by the Kaskadian fossils from The Kaskade Region.

Said to be the ancestor to Stantler, Deerling, and Sprucein, its horns gleamed in the sunlight, giving it a majestic appearance that awed other Pokémon. Majestore was known to run along the frozen landscape at high speeds and could use its horns to hold back moving glaciers.

  • Achilles' Heel: Majestore has a double weakness to Fire-type and Fighting-type attacks, which happen to be its only two weakness. Subverted through its Cold Pressure ability, which reduces them to normal weaknesses and prevents it from being knocked out by such attacks.
  • An Ice Person: Given it's resurrected from the ice, Majestore is an Ice-type Pokémon.
  • Barrier Warrior: It learns Safeguard, which protects it and allies from status conditions for five turns, and gets Ice Wall, an Ice-type attack that in addition to damage halves all damage done to the user's side for five turns, through breeding.

Based off of the mastodon and resurrected from the Tusk Fossil, Mastanic is an Ice/Fire-type Pokémon that lived during the Ice Age. Said to somehow be the ancestor to Numel and Camerupt and with a hide that allowed it to adapt to lava, it resided in volcanic areas that were far warmer than the norm. At Level 40, it becomes Magmodon, a huge Pokémon coated in a layer of magma that's said to be able to open rifts of lava by stomping the ground hard.

  • Achilles' Heel: They're both doubly weak to Rock-type attacks.
  • Action Initiative: They get Ice Shard, an Ice-type attack with increased priority, very early on.
  • An Ice Person: As they're resurrected from the ice, Mastanic and Magmodon are Ice-type Pokémon.

  • Mighty Glacier: Magmodon has massive HP alongside average Defense and Special Defense and awesome Attack, but is pretty slow.
  • Mythology Gag: Like the other Cirquoisan fossils, them being Ice-type Pokémon from the Ice Age is inspired by the Kaskadian fossils from The Kaskade Region.
  • Oxymoronic Being: Mastanic and Magmodon's types of Ice and Fire are complete opposites of each other, although the Ice-type is more due to them being resurrected from the ice.
  • Playing with Fire: They both happen to be Fire-type Pokémon.

  • Version-Exclusive Content: The Foot Fossil and thus Goliacier are exclusive to Pokémon Matter.

     Dirigiloon and Dirigiblim

A convergent form of Drifloon, Dirigiloon is a Steel/Flying-type Pokémon that is a metal blimp. It moves through the sky and can use its steel ropes to carry objects or even people long distances. In Cirquoisa, Dirigiloon also serves as a delivery drone that a prominent company uses. At Level 28, it becomes Dirigiblim, a larger blimp whose cables have impressive lifting capabilities. People are known to attach platforms to it in order to carry multiple objects or even people through the air.

  • Action Bomb: They learn both Selfdestruct and Explosion, extremely powerful Normal-type attacks that knock out the user. Dirigiblim also starts off with Trifluoride Bomb, a powerful Chemical-type attack that sacrifices half of the user's maximum HP.

  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Dirigiblim, like its Ghost-type cousin, has immense HP at the cost of having poor Defense and Special Defense.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Dirigiloon and Dirigiblim happen to be Steel-type Pokémon.
  • Hollywood Magnetism: Dirigiblim sets Magnet Force upon Dirigiloon becoming it, the move being a special-based Steel-type one that does double damage against opponents with the Plus, Minus, Magnet Pull, or Magnetize abilities, or is under the effects of Magnet Rise.
  • Living Ship: While comparatively small compared to the norm for this trope, these two are effectively this due to them being blimps that are alive.
  • Mechanical Lifeforms: Dirigiloon and Dirigiblim have metal bodies and mechanical features such as rudders and propellers, which effectively make them this.
  • Power Nullifier: Their hidden ability is Motor Drive, which makes them immune to Electric-type attacks, which instead raises their Speed. In addition, their Steel/Flying-type makes them immune to both Poison and Ground moves as well as being poisoned.

     Digiphere and Digipheric

A virtual reality entity resembling a cartoonish lion's head, Digiphere is a Psychic/Electric-type Pokémon related to AR. Created by the company behind the Cirquoisa MRD Factory, it's connected to MRD's and used for various means involving their use, such as managing AR data and files. When traded while holding an Upgrade, it becomes Digipheric, where it gains a body reminiscent of Porygon2. It has the ability to shift in and out of AR and is connected to nearly every program and function regarding MRD's.

  • Always Accurate Attack: Digiphere and Digipheric learn Lock-on, which makes the next move used against the opponent this.
  • Barrier Change Boss: They start off with Conversion, which changes their type to that of the last move used by the opponent.
  • Beam Spam: Digiphere and Digipheric get a number of beam-based moves by level up, such as Psybeam, Beam Cannon, Light Beam, Signal Beam, Hyper Beam, and Simple Beam. They can also know Solarbeam, Ice Beam, and Nebular Beam by TM and get Cosmic Beam as an Egg Move.
  • Boss Battle: Digiphere/Digipheric is the strongest Pokémon of Nikolai, the Hydrico Gym Leader, if battled anywhere from your first to fourth Gym Leader.

  • Confusion Fu: Digipheric can know damaging moves that are Psychic-type, Electric-type, Steel-type, Bug-type, Crystal-type, Light-type, Grass-type, Ice-type, Ghost-type, Dark-type, Fairy-type, Cosmic-type, Water-type, Flying-type, and Normal-type.
  • Gemstone Assault: Digipheric has Prism Wave, a Crystal-type attack that can also be one of the same types as any of the user's moves, as a starting move.
  • Mighty Glacier: Digipheric is a combination of this and Squishy Wizard, with awesome Special Attack alongside great Special Defense, very good HP, and average HP, but poor Attack and Speed.
  • Mythology Gag: Digipheric is meant to be based off of Porygon2's beta sprite, but has its own name, typing, and colors (yellow, green, and magenta) to differentiate it from the Porygon line.
  • Necessary Drawback: One of Digipheric's level up moves, the Electric-type Laser Blast, while extremely powerful, can't be used twice in a row.
  • No Biological Sex: Given that they're Pokémon that reside in virtual reality, Digiphere and Digipheric don't have genders.
  • Powerful, but Inaccurate: They learn Zap Cannon, a powerful Electric-type attack with guaranteed paralysis, but only has 50% accuracy.
  • Power Nullifier:
    • Digiphere and Digipheric have the Beam Defense ability, which makes them immune to beam and light-based moves.
    • They can do this to the opponent with Simple Beam, which changes the opponent's ability to Simple.
  • Projected Man: Digiphere and Digipheric are digital entities originating in AR-space that can also manifest in the real world.
  • Psychic Powers: Digiphere and Digipheric are both Psychic-type Pokémon.
  • Recurring Element: The Digipheric line is another family of artificially-created virtual reality Pokémon, coming after the Porygon line.

  • Super Mode: Digipheric has a Z-Form that it transforms into upon using its signature Z-Move, A-Reality Warp.

     Canvessel, Sculpage, and Murelica

     Lumblade and Dagrinder

     Dunsparce, Dudunsparce, and Dunserene

     Mishipequa, Scaldeshu, and Panthermal

Based off of the mishipeshu of Michigan folklore, Mishipequa is a navy-color Water-type panther known to reside underwater, capable of even being immersed in boiling water. It eventually becomes Scaldeshu, where it gains the Fire-type. Its body constantly emits steam, with it able to fire jets of scalding hot water from its feet and tail. It ultimately becomes Panthermal, the pseudo-Legendary of the SFA-Dex C. Water that drips off of Panthermal's body instantly bursts into steam. An unmatched apex hunter, it creates clouds of steam that it blends itself into and is easily capable of taking down much larger targets such as Steelix, Rhyperior, and Tortuilding.

  • Action Initiative: Mishipequa, Scaldeshu, and Panthermal all learn Aqua Jet, a Water-type priority attack.
  • Cat Like Dragons: Given that the mishipeshu is supposed to be a cross between a cougar and a dragon, the Panthermal line has some draconic features, most notable in Panthermal itself.
  • Confusion Fu: Panthermal can know damaging moves of every type other than ones that are Fairy-type, Cosmic-type, and Chemical-type.
  • Death or Glory Attack: The family learns Aqua Crush, a powerful Water-type attack that causes recoil damage, by level up, with Scaldeshu and Panthermal also getting the Fire-type equivalent Flare Blitz.
  • Elemental Absorption: One of their abilities is Water Absorb, which makes Water-type attacks instead of damaging them instead heal them by up to a ¼ of their maximum HP.
  • Infinity -1 Sword: Panthermal is the pseudo-Legendary Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Mind and Matter.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Panthermal has awesome Attack alongside very great Speed, good HP and Special Attack, and average Defense and Special Defense.
  • Making a Splash: Mishipequa, Scaldeshu, and Panthermal are all Water-type Pokémon.
  • Man Bites Man: The line learns three biting moves by level up; the Dark-type Bite and Crunch and the Ice-type Ice Fang. They can also know Psychic Fangs, Fire Fang, and Thunder Fang by TM.
  • Oxymoronic Being: Scaldeshu and Panthermal's types of Water and Fire happen to be complete opposites on one another.
  • Panthera Awesome: The Panthermal line as a whole is based on the mishipeshu, an underwater panther said to reside in Lake Superior, from Native American mythology.
  • Playing with Fire: Scaldeshu and Panthermal are both Fire-type Pokémon.
  • Power Nullifier: Mishipequa's Water Veil ability makes it immune to being burned. The whole line's Water Absorb ability makes them immune to Water-type moves.
  • Power of the Sun: Panthermal gets Solar Claw, a two turn Fire-type move that can be instantly used during strong sunlight, immediately upon evolving.
  • Recurring Element: Panthermal is another pseudo-Legendary Pokémon with high stats that can't be obtained until late in the game.
  • Status-Buff Dispel: Mishipequa, Scaldeshu, and Panthermal learn Haze, an Ice-type move that resets all stat changes on all Pokémon in play.
  • Switch-Out Move: The line gets Roar, a move that forces the opponent to switch their current Pokémon out to a random one, by level up.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Scaldeshu and Panthermal are both Water-type and Fire-type Pokémon.

Dragon Sisters: Heliodra, Selendra, and Ekleidra

A trio of human-like women with draconic features, Heliodra, Selendra, and Ekleidra are Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon known collectively as the Dragon Sisters. According to legend, long ago, the last king of the Cirquoisan Empire, which extended beyond the Grand Lakes, had three daughters; one that favored the day, one that favored the night, and one that favored both. When this kingdom fell, the three princesses went to what are now known as the Draconic Ruins, where they were reborn as these Pokémon.

A Dragon/Light-type Pokémon, Heliodra is the eldest sister, said to only appear during high noon, and has the power to intensify the sun. A Dragon/Dark-type Pokémon, Selendra is the youngest sister, said to only appear at midnight, and has the power to amplify the moon. A Dragon/Psychic-type Pokémon, Ekleidra is the middle sister, said to appear during an eclipse, and has the power to align the sun and the moon. Each one is also said to possess a more draconic form…

  • Achilles' Heel: Due to her Dragon/Dark-typeing, Selendra has a 4x weakness to Fairy-type attacks.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Selendra learns Dragon's Fury, a powerful Dragon-type attack that locks her into the move while only deducting PP for the first attack, raising her Attack stat every time she gets hit by an attack.
  • Barrier Warrior: Each of them gets a specific barrier move by level up, with Heliodra getting Light Screen, which halves damage from special attacks for five turns, Selendra getting Reflect, which halves damage from physical attacks for five turns, and Ekleidra getting Safeguard, which prevents status conditions for five turns. All three of them learn Draco Shield, a Dragon-type move that quarters all damage done to them for two turns.
  • Casting a Shadow: Selendra is a Dark-type Pokémon said to be aligned with the moon.
  • Confusion Fu:
    • Heliodra can know damaging moves of every type other than ones that are Cosmic-type, Poison-type, Chemical-type, or Ground-type.
    • Selendra can know damaging moves of every type other than ones that are Fire-type, Grass-type, Light-type, Chemical-type, or Ground-type.
    • Ekleidra can know damaging moves of every type other than ones that are Poison-type, Chemical-type, or Ground-type.
  • Dragon Lady: The Dragon Sisters are a literal take on this trope, as each of them are human-esque Dragon-type Pokémon.
  • Expy: Heliodra, being a solar dragon, is mainly inspired by Elira Pendora, while Selendra, being a lunar dragon, is mainly inspired by Selen Tatsuki.
  • Fixed Damage Attack: All three of them learn Dragon Rage, a Dragon-type attack that always deals 40 damage, early on.
  • Geo Effects: Both Selendra and Ekleidra get such moves by level up, with Selendra starting off with Misty Terrain, which halves the power of Dragon-type moves, and Ekleidra starting off with Psychic Terrain, which ups the power of Psychic-type moves, and Cosmic Field, which ups the power of Cosmic-type moves.
  • Heal Thyself: Each of them gets a specific healing move that restores half their HP under normal conditions by level up, with Heliodra learning the Normal-type Morning Sun, Selendra learning the Fairy-type Moonlight, and Ekleidra learning both.
  • Light/Darkness Juxtaposition: Heliodra and Selendra have this relationship, especially since Heliodra is a Light-type and Selendra is a Dark-type.
  • Light 'em Up: Heliodra is a Light-type Pokémon said to be aligned with the sun.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Selendra is this on the physical side with awesome Attack and Defense in addition to great Speed.
  • Lunacy: Befitting a lunar dragon, Selendra has this theme, with her Lunarian Pulse ability referencing the moon, and getting Dark Moon, Moonlight, and Lunar Cannon by level up on top of being able to know Moonblast and Lunar Strike by TM and Move Tutor.
  • Magic Knight: Ekleidra has both awesome Attack and Special Attack, allowing her to do well on both sides of the spectrum, in addition to great HP and Speed.
  • Missing Secret: While the Dragon Sisters are said to assume more dragon-like forms, these forms are never seen in the game nor are they present in the game's data.
  • Olympus Mons: The Dragon Sisters are Legendary Pokémon said to have some power over the sun, the moon, and both.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: While they're Dragon-type Pokémon, the Dragon Sisters more so resemble girls than dragons, although they're said to also have forms resembling actual dragons.
  • Playing with Fire: Heliodra can know Dragon Fire, a special-based Fire-type attack that Dragon-type Pokémon also get STAB for, by Move Reminder, and she and Ekleidra can know several more Fire-type moves by TM or Move Tutor.
  • Power of the Sun: Befitting a solar dragon, Heliodra has this theme, with her Solarian Pulse ability referencing the sun, and getting Sunny Day, Morning Sun, and Bright Blast by level up on top of being able to know Solarbeam and Solar Claw by TM.
  • Psychic Powers: Ekleidra is a Psychic-type Pokémon said to be aligned with eclipses.
  • Recurring Element: The Dragon Sisters are this to the Forces of Nature (minus Enamorus), another lesser Legendary trio:
    • Ekleidra has a higher BST than Heliodra and Selendra, much like Landorus has a higher BST than Tornadus and Thundurus.
    • Heliodra and Selendra are each found in only one game like Tornadus and Thundurus were in their debut.
    • Having both Heliodra and Selendra is required to get Ekleidra much like both Tornadus and Thundurus are required to get Landorus.
  • Secret Art: Each of them gets an exclusive ability:
    • Heliodra gets Solarian Pulse, which increases her Special Attack by one-third in brightened skies, and her Special Defense by one-third in strong sunlight.
    • Selendra gets Lunarian Pulse, which increases her Attack by one-third in darkened night, and her Defense by one-third in Misty Terrain.
    • Ekleidra gets Eclipsed Pulse, which increases her Special Attack and Special Defense by 25% in Psychic Terrain, and her Attack and Defense by 25% in Cosmic Field.
  • Solar and Lunar: Heliodra and Selendra have this juxtaposition, being a solar dragon and a lunar dragon, respectively.
  • Squishy Wizard: Heliodra is this with her having awesome Special Attack and Special Defense as well as great HP, but below average Attack and Defense.
  • Status Buff: Heliodra learns the Light-type Light Guard while Ekleidra learns the Cosmic-type Cosmic Power, both of which up their Defense and Special Defense by one stage.
  • Total Eclipse of the Plot: Ekleidra is said to have the power of eclipses, with her said to only appear during an eclipse, and that she's said to be able to align the sun and moon.
  • Useless Useful Spell: A partial example. The Misty Terrain half of Selendra's Lunarian Pulse ability, while increasing her Defense during that terrain effect, also halves the power of any Dragon-type moves, meaning it'll hinder her more than it'll help.
  • Version-Exclusive Content: Heliodra is only obtainable in Pokémon Matter while Selendra is only obtainable in Pokémon Mind.
  • Weather Manipulation: Both Heliodra and Selendra get such moves by level up; with Heliodra starting off with Bright Sky, which ups the power of Light-type moves, and Sunny Day, which ups the power of Fire-type moves, and Selendra starting off with Dark Moon, which ups the power of Dark-type and Ghost-type moves.
  • Weak to Magic: Selendra has poor Special Defense, which means that she doesn't take special attacks well, especially if they're Fairy-type ones.

     University Duo: Verinione and Artanione

A pair of Legendary Pokémon known as the University Duo, Verinione and Artanione are a Fighting/Fire-type wolverine and Fighting/Steel-type spartan, respectively. Verinione is able to cloak itself with dark blue flames and use its long, burning claws to cleave targets, while Artanione has gauntlets and armor made out of an unknown indestructible material. Over hundreds of years, these two clashed whenever they crossed paths, bringing destruction to Cirquoisa each time, which eventually led to the two of them being sealed away.

  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: The final learned move for both of them is Endless Fight, a powerful Fighting-type move that only deducts PP for the initial use, but locks them into the move until they switch out, raising their Attack every time they're hit by an attack.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Verinione learns Final Gambit, a Fighting-type attack that does damage equal to its remining HP, at the cost of knocking it out.
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: Both of them are Fighting-type Pokémon, given their penchant for combat with one another.
  • Color-Coded Characters: Verinione's and Artanione's colors are meant to reflect their inspiration, with Verinione's dark blue and yellow colors being that of U of M and Artanione's green and white colors being that of MSU.

  • Death or Glory Attack: Verinione learns Flare Blitz, a powerful Fire-type attack that also causes recoil damage, and can know the weaker Electric-type variant Wild Charge by TM
  • Expy: Verinione being a wolverine is meant to be one to U of M's mascot, Biff: The Wolverine, while Artanione being a spartan is meant to be one to MSU's mascot Sparty.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Artanione is Steel-type, given its armor and gloves.
  • Extremity Extremist: Artanione gets several punch-based moves by level up, such as Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Power-Up Punch, and more. Befitting this, its ability is Iron Fist, which increases the power of its punching moves by 20%.
  • Forever War: Verinione and Artanione are told to fight one another at every waking moment, causing devastation to Cirquoisa in the process. It's because of this the two of them were sealed away to prevent further chaos to the region.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Verinione is effectively this with its good HP, Defense, and Special Defense combined with its awesome Attack and very high Speed.
  • Man Bites Man: Verinione learns three such moves by level up; the Dark-type Bite, which can flinch the opponent, the Fire-type Fire Fang, which can burn and/or make the opponent flinch, and the Dark-type Crunch, which can lower the opponent's Defense. • Reality Subtext: Verinione and Artanione's blood rivalry is meant to reference the one between University of Michigan and Michigan State University, which the two Pokémon are based on.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: While calling them evil is a stretch, the duo was sealed away long ago in order to prevent them from causing further destruction to Cirquoisa.
  • Secret Art: Both of them are the only Pokémon to get Mighty Impact, a Fighting-type attack that is either part Fire-type if used by Verinione, or part Steel-type if used by Artanione. If used by any other Pokémon (like through a move such as Metronome), the move will only be Fighting-type.
  • Status Buff: Verinione stars with the Normal-type Howl and Artanione with the Psychic-type Meditate, both of which increase their Attack stat by one stage. They both also get Swords Dance, which increase their Attack stat by two stages, by level up.
  • Technicolor Fire: Verinione is able to cover itself in flames that are dark blue in color.

Force Trio: Minokara, Pterindo, and Savreitai

The main Legendary Pokémon of Cirquoisa, Minokara, Pterindo, and Savreitai are the embodiments of strength, mental power, and stillness. Legend says that these three were once ordinary Pokémon until an event where three fundamental forces converged over ancient Cirquoisa, which ended when these forces poured into these Pokémon. This made them into what would be known as the Force Trio.
Minokara is a large minotaur that is known as the Power Force, said to be the source of all the world's strength. Its strength is said to be limitless, with it constantly exuding geothermal energy, able to cause earthquakes by stomping the ground and breaking mountains with a single ram.

Long ago, a floating civilization that was part of the Cirquoisan Empire was spread throughout Lake Supreme, which dominated the lake and surrounding lands. It's said a long time ago, there was a girl that sold matches in the cold, and that she perished in an unusual fire caused by these matches. The girl was then reborn as an apparition cloaked in flames that are black in color, who's said to appear to those that are cold in order to warm them up… by enveloping them in its flames! • Secret Art: Specontre has two:
    • It's the only Pokémon with the ability Supernatural Fire, which doubles the power of its Fire-type attacks when used against not-very effective or barely effective Pokémon.
    • It's the only Pokémon that can know Black Flame, a Fire-type attack that's more powerful during the effects of Dark Moon.
  • Soul Power: Specontre happens to be a Ghost-type Pokémon.
  • Squishy Wizard: Specontre has massive Special Attack alongside awesome Special Defense and great Speed, but its HP, Attack, and Defense are only average.
  • Status Buff: It learns Ominous Wind, a Ghost-type attack that has a 10% chance of raising all of its stats by one stage.
  • Status Infliction Attack: It learns Confuse Ray, which, well, confuses the opponent.
  • Surprisingly Creepy Moment: Specontre's backstory of once being a girl that perished in a fire and attempting to warm people up by burning them can come off as pretty shocking.
  • Taking You with Me: Its final learned move is Destiny Bond, which knocks out the opponent if they knock out Specontre.
  • Technicolor Fire: Specontre's flames are black in color, mainly reflected in its Signature Move of Black Flame. These flames only affect living things, leaving everything else untouched.
  • Trap Master: Specontre learns Fire Spin, which prevents the opponent from switching out for up to five turns.

     Velomega

A Legendary Pokémon said to oversee Cirquoisa as a whole, Velomega is the embodiment of what is called the Speed Force, said to be the source of all the world's speed. It's said to possess unlimited speed and constantly emits electromagnetic energy, said to be able to imbue others with amazing speed. Velomega is said to be the fastest thing in existence, able to use its immeasurable speed to perform acts such as travelling through time or to other dimensions. Legends say that long ago, it stopped something called the "Force Anomaly Storm", where an immense maelstrom of geothermal, electrochemical, and temporal energy threatened Cirquoisa and beyond, with its actions pouring these energies into three Pokémon that would be reborn as the Force Trio.

  • Achilles' Heel: Due to its Electric- and Cosmic-typing, it has a 4x weakness to Crystal-type attacks.
  • Action Initiative: Velomega learns two such moves that have increased priority; the Cosmic-type Comet Dash, and the Normal-type Extremespeed. Another move it learns, the Light-type Lightspeed is a variation, calculating damage based on its Speed stat.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Its signature move of Infinite Rush locks it into the move once selected, with it unable to select any other move until switching out.
  • Confusion Fu: Velomega can know damaging moves of every type other than ones that are Poison-type and Chemical-type.
  • Dimensional Traveler: It's said that by moving fast enough with its speed, Velomega has the power to enter other dimensions.
  • Expy: Velomega, being the Speed Force, is this to the Speed Force from The Flash (2014), as well as Savitar, multiple iterations of The Flash, and speedsters in general.
  • Fast as Lightning: Velomega is an Electric-type Pokémon that's said to be the fastest thing in existence.
  • Fastest Thing Alive: It's said to possess speed that is said to be immeasurable, able to move from one place to another in an instant, and it shows with its colossal Speed stat.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: Subverted. Although Velomega is said to be the fastest thing in existence, it actually shares its Speed stat of 200 with Regieleki, but through its ability of Speed Mastery, it's not hard for Velomega to become the faster of the two.
  • Lightning Bruiser: In addition to its immense Speed stat, Velomega has great Attack and Special Attack, average Defense and Special Defense, and good HP.
  • Literal Split Personality: Teramos's painting "The Parting of the Forces" implies that Velomega split from Minokara, Pterindo, and Savreitai. Since Teramos himself provides this explanation, we're not sure if it's true or not.
  • Magic Knight: Both Velomega's Attack and Special Attack stats are 120, allowing it to operate on either side of the physical/special spectrum or even both at once.
  • The Master: Velomega is effectively this to Minokara, Pterindo, and Savreitai, being the one who was said to caused the event that brought them into existence.
  • Me's a Crowd: By moving extremely fast, Velomega can be in multiple places at once, allowing it to create copies of itself.
  • Meteor Move: It learns Meteor Crash, a physical Cosmic-type attack that has a chance to make the opponent flinch.
  • Olympus Mons: Velomega is a Legendary Pokémon that is the embodiment of the Speed Force.
  • Power Copying: It learns Me First, which copies whatever attack the opponent was going to use that turn with increased power. Given Velomega's immense speed, it'll pretty much always move before the opponent.
  • Red Is Heroic: Velomega's colors are red and magenta, and its lore indicates that it's a protector of Cirquoisa.
  • Secret Art:
    • Velomega has a signature ability in Speed Mastery, which lowers the Speed of every other Pokémon by one stage upon it entering battle, raises its Speed every time is uses an Electric-type move, prevents its own Speed stat from being lowered, and makes it immune to Trick Room.
    • Velomega's signature move is Infinite Rush, a powerful physical Electric-type attack that works similar to Endless Fight and Dragon's Fury, locking it into the move but only deducting one PP from it. In addition, its power goes up for each level Velomega's Speed has been raised.
  • Shock and Awe: Velomega happens to be an Electric-type Pokémon.
  • The Something Force: Like the Force Trio, Velomega is the personification of a "Force", the source of a fundamental aspect in the world. In this case, it's the Speed Force.
  • Space Is Magic: Velomega is a Cosmic-type Pokémon, given the feats that it's said to be able to perform with its limitless speed.
  • Status Buff: It learns two such moves; Agility, which rises its Speed stat by two levels, and Planet Alignment, which raises all of its stats by two levels for one turn.
  • Super-Speed: This is what Velomega is all about, with it being faster than anything else. It's said to be fast enough to run around the perimeter of Cirquoisa, Grand Lakes included, in less than a microsecond, be in multiple places at once, creating "time replicas" of itself, and even travel through time or to other universes.
  • Time Travel: Velomega is said to be able to use its speed in order to travel through time.
  • When the Planets Align: Velomega learns Planet Alignment, a Cosmic-type move where the alignment of the planets causes all of its stats to be raised by two stages for one turn.

  • Confusion Fu: Artierface can know damaging moves that are Electric-type, Grass-type, Water-type, Bug-type, Psychic-type, Fighting-type, Steel-type, Poison-type, Flying-type, Fairy-type, Light-type, Chemical-type, and Normal-type.

It can also know Bright Blast by TM and Solar Bomb and Sun Sphere by Move Tutor.
  • Riddle for the Ages: In addition to exactly who created Artierface, why it was created is unknown, but given that it can link to MRD's, it might have something to do with that.
  • Secret Art: Artierface is the only Pokémon that learns the move Artificial Flora, a strong Grass-type attack that also sharply lowers the opponent's Special Attack, but Artierface doesn't get STAB for it like other Grass-type moves.

  • Shock and Awe: Artierface is an Electric-type Pokémon.
