The Mask after having one busy day along with Eve goes off sleeping in the apartment but then wakes up to see that everyone else is now like him green faced, cartoonish and insane which leads to the entire world becoming a madhouse and The Mask must find out what is going on along with the help of Eve, Masked Milo, Masked Esmeralda, Masked Peggy Brandt and Masked Charlie Schumaker who are like him insane but are willing to figure out what happened before things get worse.

- Actually Pretty Funny: While Masked Dr Neuman is telling her that everyone is getting ready for the civil war that is to come, Eve just finds Masked Dr Neuman’s high pitched voice to be funny because it does not fit him at all but she tries not to laugh though she couldn’t hold it in anymore and starts laughing which gets Masked Dr Neuman angry but The Mask gets him to talk to him instead which calms him down.
- Affably Evil: Masked Dr Neuman along with some of the mask personas are the rulers of some of their territories and insane and psychotic but however they can be reasonable as Masked Dr Neuman tells The Mask and the others they can leave Edge City and travel around the world all they like which is fine with him because he likes them being around for a bit and also that he likes The Mask's good hearted nature along with Eve's as well.
- Ascended Fanboy: The Mask is a fan of superhero comics as he reads one of his favourite superman comics which is Kryptonite Nevermore while Eve reads one of her favourite spiderman comics which is also about that boy who is a fan of him which gets both of them to share their comics with each other as they are both fans of DC and Marvel.
- Ax-Crazy: Some masked people such as Masked Kellaway are violent, uncontrollable and unreasonable as they intend to keep the things they like to be in their control which leaves areas of Edge City and the rest of the world to be their territories.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: It turns out how the entire world ended up this way is because of an orphan named Stewart who used a book that has a spell which he uses to turn the world to be like The Mask and the others but he saw that an entire world ruled entirely by chaos is not a good idea so he regrets it very much.
- Bigger on the Inside: While they are travelling in a RV they change the inside of it so that it could fit all of them with 85 bathrooms, 99 bedrooms, a large kitchen and also a living room where they could all sit and rest for a while.
- Cloudcuckooland: Edge City like the rest of the world has become all wacky and outlandish with the people living there who are genuinely insane but most of them are nice, sweet and kind unlike the rest of the world which The Mask realises that he and the people who live in Edge City along with him are the only ones who are not going at each other’s throats unlike the rest of the world who are doing that which also causes The Mask along with Eve, Masked Peggy Brandt and the masked dogs to find others who are like them soon as possible.
- Cloudcuckoolander: The Mask, Eve and the others are this but they are the only ones who are sane compared to the rest of the masked people.
- Cooldown Hug: The Mask and Eve after seeing the entire world change right before their eyes hug when they see each other after being so scared by everyone being changed around them.
- Crapsack World: Subverted as the green-headed people who also have green bodies are chaotic and wild but they have good hearts as they still have morals along with the fact that chaos was the natural way of things in the previous universe while order was looked down upon which they are referred to as peace periods in the same way as the times of chaos in the current universe are known as war periods.
- Didn't Think This Through: Stewart decide to use a spell from an old book to turn the world to be like The Mask all insane and wacky but he did not think what could happen with any world governments because of the fact they tend to be the most chaotic out of everyone else which ends up happening with the USA government and The Mask knowing that an entire world ruled by chaos entirely is not a good idea tells Stewart off for not thinking through of what could happen which Eve gets him to calm down.
- Divided States of America: The USA becomes a complete state of literal chaos when everyone has masks on them with half of the government wanting to destroy their enemies while the other half wants to take over the rest of the world which causes The Mask to remember his time as an assistant to the President of the United States and says to Eve that he was glad that he did not become the President as while he is genuinely insane, he is also one of the few who is keeping his mind in balance right now.
- Fighting the Lancer: Suzy and Masked Charlie talk about if they going to take their faces off which he tells her that he is ashamed of his unmasked self so he is not going to take his face off but unfortunately The Mask and Eve overhear the whole thing which causes The Mask to argue with him because of what he's planning to do, and Masked Charlie tells him it is his choice but The Mask reminds him he can be like his unmasked self at times as well and in the end it causes Masked Charlie to storm off to his bedroom in a bad mood then after The Mask looks at the next location which puts him even more in a bad mood because that location is the last place he wants to be right now so he goes off to his bedroom as well.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Masked Peggy is egoistical but cares very much about her friends as she goes to check on her friend Stanley who she finds out is not here at the moment but his alter ego The Mask but help him all the same to deal with the entire situation along with Eve, Masked Milo and Masked Esmeralda.
- My Greatest Failure: Another reason why The Mask doesn't start any relationships with any woman he sees even though they got attracted to him in the end is because he feels guilty about his role in ending the relationship between Stanley and Tina partly because he was being too strong towards her but mostly because Stanley decided to stay in Edge City instead of moving to Les Vegas which caused Tina to break up with him because of these things so The Mask after meeting Tina again tells her that he feels guilty about his part in what happened between them and, he pulls Puppy Dog Eyes on Tina to let her know that he's sorry which she tried to resist at first but she knows The Mask does mean well despite his insanity and wackiness so she lets him and his friends in her home.
- Nervous Wreck: The Mask after waking up gets so scared by the world that changed just in one night that he stays in his apartment along with Masked Milo for hours until Eve knocks on his door.
- Nice Guy: Masked Charlie is this unlike his unmasked self as he apologises to The Mask for everything his unmasked self did to Stanley but The Mask says that does not matter right now and all he cares about is that he is glad another one of his friends has come to see him in a world that is now completely full of masked people.
- Masked Mrs Peenman is polite, kind hearted and friendly unlike her unmasked self and greets Eve and her dog by saying hello to them which surprises both of them since they got used to her unmasked self being unpleasant which after The Mask and the others come out of his apartment they meet her in the hallway and after being told that The Mask and Stanley are the one and same person apologises to The Mask for everything she did to Stanley but The Mask tells her he decides to forgive her and also that he did get payback on her for how she treated Stanley anyway which they all laughed realising they all needed something to get some of the tension off a bit and Masked Mrs Peenman decides to help them to look for anyone who might be willing to help them get into the source of all this.
- The Mask and Eve are this as they want to know what has happened to the world and they are terrified by all of it so along with The Mask’s friends and Eve’s dog who are all masked but willing to help they go out to find the source of all this which they did when they find a boy named Stewart who explains to them why he did it and though The Mask tells him off for being an idiot, Eve calms him down and, later on The Mask regrets for what he said since he can see Stewart is feeling guilty about what he did so due to being sweet and kind he apologies to Stewart for what he said to him earlier and when he finds out from him how old he is, The Mask starts to think about being a parent towards him since he is an orphan and Eve also agrees to be a parent to Stewart as well.
- Only Sane Man: The Mask along with the others agree that something needs to be done to bring balance back to their world as they know that chaos ruling entirely is a bad idea so they need to restore order back to their world somehow before it gets worse.
- Suzy is this as she is one of the few masked people who tries to keep things under control despite being just as insane as everyone else as she tries to deal with the people who are staying at the motel she is working at who are causing too much noise and chaos for anyone who are staying there to sleep and rest though thankfully The Mask helps her how to use her powers and abilities so that she can have better control on these people which she and The Mask manage to get the whole thing under control.
- Puppy-Dog Eyes: The Mask gives these to Tina to show just how sorry he is for putting an end to her relationship with Stanley which she tried to resist at first because she doesn't want to deal with him again but however she decided to just look at them which she knows that despite his quirks The Mask is a sweet, nice guy and, means well so she decide to give in and let him in along with his friends.
- Sexier Alter Ego: Some Mask personas other than The Mask and Eve are easy looking or more attractive such as Masked Mrs Peenman who is a tall woman who wears a pink dress, purple coat and blue high heel shoes, Masked Doyle is a sports good looking man who wears a green suit, a green hat with a fox tail on it and smart shoes with the same colour scheme as The Mask's, Masked Charlie is a tall man who's got good muscles, a messy hair and wears blue clothes, a green tie and wearing sports training shoes.
- True Companions: The Mask even before the world changed has always care about his friends like Peggy, Milo, Eve, her unmasked self Evelyn, Esmeralda and even Charlie though he pulls wedgies on him but now with the entire world changed, the others show how much they care about him by being there for him when they see how scared he is by everything and they all agree to be there for each other with the entire world going insane literally then to also find out what caused all of this.
- Walking the Earth: The Mask and the others decided to leave Edge City since they think that the source whatever it was happened somewhere else outside of the city they live in so they traveled around the world to look for it and they see how much the world has changed because of the masks that have been put on people’s faces around the entire world.
- World Gone Mad: The people around the entire world end up having masks on their faces which causes them to become green faced, insane and cartoonish with the UK becoming a country of people who are polite but childish while the people in the Middle East stop fighting each other and live in peace while making massive tall buildings, the People in Africa no longer having to starve and live in famine with them becoming healthy and more alive than ever, people in South America no longer having to live in poverty and crime, people in Mexico and Canada living together in harmony and peace and the USA becomes a battlefield of children fighting each other over which parts of the world they should fight over or destroy it which while The Mask and the others can see that they can finally fit in but they know that it does not last forever and there will be new problems that will come out of it if they don’t do something about it soon as possible because the Masked People will have to keep fighting for balance in their chaotic minds if they keep the masks on their faces.
