Of Heroes and Legends is an as-of-yet unpublished collection of fanfiction based on the Dragon Age franchise, taking place within the same continuity. It's divided into several series, each detailing the adventures of heroes across the world of Thedas.
Of Heroes and Legends provides examples of:
- Action Mom:
- Eleanor Cousland demonstrates her aptitude with a sword during the attack on Highever at the start of the series. Her daughter Merindah also proves herself to be one.
- Morrigan arguably becomes more of a badass following Kieran’s birth.
- After her three children are born, Allayah continues serving in South Reach’s army. Bonus points for fighting off a Rage Demon while pregnant.
- Adaptation Expansion: The series as a whole, which attempts to fill in the many blanks in the lives of its protagonists, and addresses lingering and unresolved questions from the canon.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Hawke has an unflinching irreverent attitude. So when she drops the snark, it’s a sign that things have taken a turn for the worse.
- Outliving One's Offspring: Fergus loses his son Oren early in the series. By extension, Eleanor and Bryce briefly outlive their own grandson.
