"Mask... Change!"
— Transformation call for all Masked Heroes
The Masked Hero Series is a series fan fiction works inspired by the "Masked HERO" archetype from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game — and, by extension, Kamen Rider.
What sets it apart from its inspiration sources is that the heroes are all high school girls, namely: the love interests from all the main Tokimeki Memorial games. In each of the stories, the girls have to become the titular Masked Heroes in order to fend off a threat, each which correspond to another source.
The works are as follows:
- Masked Hero Black
- Set during the first year of the original Tokimeki Memorial, Shiori Fujisaki and her best friend Megumi Mikihara have been captured and experimented upon by the mysterious "Brotherhood of the Scorpion", led by Marik Ishtar (who, in this 'verse, has always been evil, with no "Yami Marik" alternate personality to speak of). Being able to escape the horrible experiment, Shiori has access to the "Pharaoh's Soul" inside her Millennium Driver, allowing her to transform into the titular Masked Hero Black. Thus begins her mission to find her best friend while stopping the Brotherhood at the same time.
- Masked Hero Black RA
- Set some time after the events of Black, it continues the journey of Shiori Fujisaki, as the newly upgraded Masked Hero Black RA, alongside old allies (Rei Ijuin a.k.a. Masked Hero Azul, and Megumi Mikihara as Masked Hero Blade) as well as the rest of the cast as they altogether face against a new threat: the resurrected Orichalcos Army led by Dartz.
- Masked Hero Light
- Set during the events of Tokimeki Memorial 2, it deals with the story of Hikari Hinomoto, who becomes the titular Masked Hero Light in order to fight off a shadowy threat: a race of Replicant Snatching robots from the future, the Snatchers. Aided by Officer Gillian Seed and his Robot Buddy, Metal Gear, Hikari — and, eventually, the rest of the cast — have to fight off a potential Robot War and subsequent replacement by the machines.
- Masked Hero Kibo
- Set during the events of Tokimeki Memorial 3, an unwitting Yukiko Makihara was dragged by a mysterious boy named "Walter" into a battle that transcends both the real world and the Otherworld and has to become the titular Masked Hero Kibo in order to fight the "Sealed Beasts". However, things get complicated when other Masked Heroes arrive for their personal agendas, forcing a Let's You and Him Fight scenario and revealing that the "Masked Hero" system is all a well-orchestrated plan by a devious Walter Sullivan.
- Masked Hero Celestia
- Set during the events of Tokimeki Memorial 4, it deals with the story of Maki Hoshikawa, who was thrust into being the titular Masked Hero Celestia, and, together with Dr. Hal Emmerich and the rest of the cast, have to uncover a conspiracy leading to an interdimensional war caused by the Inverz invaders.
- Masked Hero - The Generation Wars
- Set five years after the events of Celestia, it is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover of the Masked Heroes from Black/Black RA, Light, Kibo, and Celestia, who all have to set aside their various conflicts and team up in order to fight against the a threat that would wipe the world of all life: the Malebranche and the Infernoids, all led by the sinister Lord Dracula.
