But before it begins, you're constantly practicing, be it the non-existent Jelly World Team, or real Neopets. But sometimes they just can't keep out of trouble and will do anything to get there way. Between forbidden loves, rivals, and revenge from some of the now-fired players, be it this year or 5 years ago, there's never time to rest.'

—The simple plot that started out what could've been a short and simple Roleplay. Little did they know...

The Jellyneo Altador Cup Vi Roleplay is a roleplay created by a user named Moogi on May 24, 2011. Having been around for one year, it may be widely regarded as one of the longest roleplays on Jellyneo Forums in a long time, if not the longest, finally ending at around 2950 pages (given you're using the forum default) and about 5-6 active participators out of about 10. It's sequel is continued on that same topic.

The Altador Cup Vi roleplay is based on a yearly site event on Neopets, where 18 different teams compete in a sport called Yooyuball and 3 other side games. Because the event itself has no clear plot, the plot for this roleplay is rather random. The plot itself involves a group of AC Players trying to stop brainwashed and previously-fired players, like Tormo 'The Terror' Frein and Vitri Sitol from sabotaging the Cup, particularly with magic.... Nothing else more simple than that, however it's everything else that happens WHILE they do this that tends to be more complex.

The Altador Cup VI Roleplay provides examples of:

• Accidental Misnaming: Almost every time Layton comes into the story, he is guaranteed to mess up Prytariel's or Antola's name. The only names he doesn't mess up are Zax (because it's short) and Valka. Especially funny when Layton finds Lyvon and calls him 'Linton,' resulting in Lyvon breaking the fourth wall and asking if that was supposed to be a reference. As a matter of fact, Linton is the name of the antagonist of Raven's upcoming NT story, Coronation.
• A Day in the Limelight: Though Antola is the main character, other characters (notably Valka and Derlyn) have had quite large arcs. Often, these limelight episodes largely affect Layton and Zenor, due to romantic connections with the afforementioned two. Although Derlyn is considered the main female character, so she technically doesn't count.
• Affectionate Nickname:
  • Zax and Xana often refer to Antola as 'Anty' more so than his actual name.
  • Layton sometimes calls Valka 'Val'.
• All Girls Want Bad Boys:
  • Timu, a perfectly harmless and kind Lupe, decided to date Tandrak, a rebellious Gelert.
  • A much more tragic example occurred with Dimanche Asteria, one of the three heads of the Altador Cup Committee which endorses the rules of the tournament. In the future, she falls for the leader of a genetic engineering corporation, Hassow Tsukimura, for whom the term 'bad boy' is a major understatement. Some way or another, they find romance, get married, and have two children. All the while, unbeknownst to Dimanche herself, said company kidnaps young girls in an attempt to make them Dark Magical Girls. Shortly afterwards, her daughter Io dies mysteriously when she is about two, and she assumes that it is due to illness. Not too long before Dimanche herself dies, she discovered that Hassow exposed Io to very high levels of magic in an attempt to make her one of the most powerful Dark Magical Girls, instead causing Io to die and therefore making Hassow a monster. As she dies, Dimanche rejects Hassow as a husband. To make matters even worse, Hassow himself not only pulls a Karma Houdini and does the same to many other girls, but forgets Dimanche after falling for Kaine, who's as evil as he is. As a result, Kaine's death is an Ironic Echo of Dimanche's death. Confused yet?
• Always Identical Twins: Averted in this. Almost every single pair of twins are fraternal.
• Angsty Surviving Twin: Subverted with Baelia, since this is what everyone thinks she is in the future, since she claimed that Valka died. However, she's secretly like this because Valka did a Face–Heel Turn, and she's really just covering for her sister.
• And This Is for...: If Lyvon is any indication, when you hear Valka yell 'FOR LAYTON!,' run.
• Ascended Extra:
  • Although other characters could qualify under this trope, Zax has gone a long way from his first appearance in this roleplay, to his most recent. He started off simply as a stalkerish NPC who appeared here and there, wanting to help the main characters, to the Tagalong Kid of Antola's Five-Man Band, to the official Big Guy of the same group. As of recent, not only is he no longer an NPC (now taken by roleplay creator, Moogi), but in that same Five-Man Band, he's now The Lancer, replacing Demoted to Extra and Face Heel Turned Prytariel.
  • Valka was originally just a random trainee, but she became essentially as important as the others.
  • Mirsha went from being a serious and injured person, to being someone who could be very well the Trope Codifier for Cloudcuckoolander if this roleplay was more known by the general public.
  • Derlyn went from being a brainwashed saboteur whose mom worked with Antola's dad to the Big Girl of Antola's Five-Man Band, and throws objects at everyone, and the person that the saboteurs want dead. She is also the female lead of the roleplay, as her puppeteer, Ruko is just as active on the roleplay as Moogi.
• Author Avatar:
  • All the active roleplayers have one of these, referred to as puppeteers by themselves and the characters they control. Very often they'll use their Author Powers to torment their own characters, which has resulted in quite a few instances of Rage Against the Author. If you haven't guessed already, there's No Fourth Wall.
  • Moogi is a Canadian Antola Maeir fangirl who likes video games. She enjoys throwing boots at the characters whenever she feels like it, and although she's a huge Shipper on Deck for Xantola, she seems to enjoy tormenting Antola and Xana on occasion by doing what she can to win the former's affection. Hilarity Ensues as, no matter what she tries, it never seems to work.
  • Raven is an aspiring NT writer with a bit of a Mountain Dew problem. In addition to loving The Pendragon Adventure, she is Layka's biggest Shipper on Deck. Lately, one of her Running Gags involves her mentioning the date 'October 22' and one Princess Luna.
  • Ruko is a Derlyn Fonnet fangirl who is a lazy person who enjoys tormenting every character.
• Badass Bookworm: Despite her love of reading and intelligent pursuits, Etoile is actually a pretty fierce fighter.
• Bad Future: To put it lightly. In the future, Etoile is on the run from Star Corporations, Layton is dead, and Valka becomes a Psycho For Hire.
• Beneath the Mask: Valka seems to be a tough, self-sufficient person on the outside, but is really a Broken Bird who truly wants friends, but is too afraid of the possibilities of them getting hurt or turning on her.
• Berserk Button: Quite a few:
  • Valka's is triggered if she is called a Tandrak fangirl. Also, just try to insult Valka's current boyfriend, Yooyuball MVP Layton Vickles. We dare you.
  • Prytariel's is triggered if she is constantly being teased by anyone (particularly Tandrak) as being Antola's girlfriend Or with Rinok as Mirsha found out, or being called a Tsundere.
  • Tandrak's is being called Shayla. Another one, recently found by Antola, is joking about the fact some people pair him with Garven Hale.
  • Lyvon's is anything insulting his hair (whether you criticize the fact it looks like spaghetti/popcorn or claim he puts no effort into caring for it).
  • Antola's is anyone who insults his headband. Yes, a piece of cloth on his head is THAT important to him.
  • Etoile's is triggered by hurting Stelle, her Magical Girl partner and close friend.
  • Never insult Vignacio, or else Four will maul you, like what he did to Tormo.
  • Never, ever, hurt Antola, or even scare him, because, if you do, Xana will impale you with her katana.
  • A nice way to set Derlyn and Prytariel off is to ship them with each other. Too bad everyone ships Prylyn because of Mirsha.
  • Don't call Derlyn a Tsundere, even if she is one.
  • Mirsha dislikes it when you assume that, because of her ADHD, she's stupid.
  • Layton's is anyone shipping him with Kaine.
  • Never, ever, mess with Derlyn's Yooyu plushie. It doesn't matter if you're her friend or not. She will hate you for it.
• Big Damn Heroes: Guess what's happening when Layton breaks through Star Corporations? He comes in right when Valka is being blasted by the ray.
• Big "NEVER!": Valka gets one when the Faerie Stars try to convince her to abandon Layton and Etoile and join their side. Because a loyal person like Valka would abandon her Love Interest and Kid From the Future to join a bunch of people who she had never met before then.
• Brainwashed and Crazy:
  • A common method of attack by the villains. A tell-tale sign of brainwashing in this roleplay happens when a person randomly falls in love with a person they would never consider falling in love with. If Timu starts flirting with Antola, for instance, or if Valka starts romantically defending Lyvon (or for that matter, anyone other than Layton), they're most likely brainwashed.
  • Even scarier is the brainwashing to become a Faerie Star, which rids you of any feelings of love whatsoever.
  • There is also the brainwashing to become a Lorboteur. It is not much different from the first one, except that it's (not much) harder to get rid of.
• Breaking the Fourth Wall:
  • To the point majority of the characters CONVERSE with their roleplayers later on.
  • Mirsha's (and later, Derlyn's) puppeteer, Windy (who is later called Ruko), is the worst about this, to the point that she once allowed the other characters to gamble for Mirsha's maiden name! Which, by the way, is Fonnet.
• Breakout Character: Derlyn. She scored high on a popularity poll (most, if not all, of the roleplayers loved her), and she's the female lead.
• Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite being a Cloudcuckoolander, Faith is an excellent paramedic.
• Butt-Monkey:
  • Tandrak... especially considering the fact the Puppeteers (particularly Moogi) claim he's the only character they've considered killing off.
  • Mirsha counts as one too. Her puppeteer seems to enjoy making her go through mental torture.
  • Foltaggio, Mirsha's husband, is probably the biggest one. He gets hit by everything that is thrown, mostly the heavy objects that Derlyn, who is his sister-in-law, throws.
• Calling Your Attacks: 'GELERT EAR-WHACK!', as first used by Valka in Tandrak's body.
• Dark and Troubled Past:
  • Zax has one of these. He was abandoned soon after he was born, mainly because his entire family was made up of criminals, who wanted him only to be safe. At least, that's what he assumed before he found out his parents had another child shortly after that, who not only looked just like him, but was named after him, and instead of being abandoned, helped out his family execute their crimes. The closest thing he had to family was Mor Gollog, but because he was abandoned as well, they spent almost their entire life before the Altador Cup V living homeless. The fact that Zax is the ultimate Keet after going through all this and more is surprising to everyone that he's mentioned his life story to.
  • Mirsha was bullied because she has ADHD, causing her to be afraid of quite a lot of things and have almost no self-esteem whatsoever.
• Dating What Daddy Hates:
  • Timu states her family hates 'bad boys', which is arguably a good description of her boyfriend Tandrak.
  • Derlyn is dating a Grundo. Guess what her family hates. Yep, you guessed it, Grundos.
• Disproportionate Retribution: After Nova gets debrainwashed, she complements Stelle on her looks and introduces herself. Stelle promptly blasts her, claiming that she deserved it.
• Distressed Dude: Despite being able to defend himself, Zax has been kidnapped three times over the span of one to two days. Once by Evrem, once by the Scorchio Referee, and once by Filo and Palia. It's already gotten to the point that both Antola and Prytariel have suggested to keep him on a leash at all times.
• Embarrassing Middle Name:
  • Antola's middle name is 'Huozai', which is apparently Chinese (or in this case, Shenkese) for fire (excluding accents).
  • Stelle's middle name is Danielle. She finds it embarrassing because Star Corporations failed to notice that it rhymed.
• Embarrassing Nickname:
  • Lyvon is often referred to as 'Shampoo' throughout the roleplay. At one point he also gained the nickname 'Popcorn' due to the strange hairdo he had previously.
  • Layton is often called 'Pickles' by roleplay characters, due to his last name of 'Vickles.'
  • Due to his lack of strength, Zenor has gained the nickname 'Puny McPunyson', having first been used by Harlis.
• Even Evil Has Standards:
  • Tormo himself claimed that he wasn't planning on destroying the entire stadium, having heard that Bill's Shadow Yooyus took it down.
  • When evil King Altador brings Timu ( in Prytariel's body ) to Bill so he could kill her, Bill responds negatively, claiming he would never kill an unarmed girl. Altador himself then claims he'll kill her himself.
• Face–Heel Turn:
  • Although the latter was technically due to partial brainwash, Montecito has Face Heel Turned twice:
    • The first time, he was sick of being ignored by the group, and attempted to Face–Heel Turn and become a villain alongside Helmo. Had Edna not almost immediately confronted him and convinced him to Heel–Face Turn, he'd probably still be a villain at this moment.
    • The second time, he was struck with a potion that caused the evil side of him to overpower the good side. This resulted in an attempted attack on Delma, Zax, and Derbi. The latter of the group just barely managed to stab him in the back, giving him enough time to drink a potion that balanced out his good and evil before trying to attack again.
  • Mirsha Face Heel Turned twice as well, but one of them was long before the roleplay.
    • The first time, she was mad at her sister, Derlyn, for breaking down from the stress that she had while protecting Mirsha. Mirsha successfully sabotages her former team, Kreludor, and the effects of her the sabotaging second Cup for Kreludor by hiring Coco Metrone to tamper with the gravity control, after her Heel–Face Turn, got Shenkuu in the Cup then.
    • She does the second time this after being hit by a rocket, causing her to forget that she was married to Foltaggio, and claims that he broke up with her, although, it could have been brainwashing.
• Fantastic Racism: Mirsha and Faith have a thing against Grundos because one heavily bullied the former.
• Fantastic Slurs: The word 'jiyeon' is an anti-ADHD slur.
• Feuding Families: The Vickles and Shaye families, to the point where if any member of the Vickles family is attacked, 'Oh, they were attacked by a Shaye family member' is a legitimate excuse.
• "Freaky Friday" Flip:
  • Used a few times by use of one of Tormo's potions. The characters who get flipped are Prytariel and Antola, and Tandrak and Valka. Hilarity Ensues. Shortly after that, Tormo sneaked into the hospital, switching Elbin and Larcy.
  • This happens twice later on:
    • Once, where Elbin and Antola and Lyvon and Prytariel switch.
    • Later on, where Antola and Xana, Tandrak and Delma, and Prytariel and Timu switch. Hilarity Ensues.... again.
  • This happens again, Derlyn and Tandrak, Mirsha, and Timu, Zenor and Xana, Antola and Foltaggio, and Zax and Sandra switch bodies. Hilarity Ensues, along with paranoia and Twincest.
  • Kaine and Valka end up as the victims. However, seeing as this results in Valka becoming a Sealed Good in a Can, this is probably the only time this trick wasn't Played for Laughs.
• Full-Name Ultimatum:
  • Both Antola's dad and mom use this at one point, exclaiming 'Antola Huozai Maeir' after he attempted to battle a 'turned-insane' King Altador, injuring himself greatly in the process.
  • Many other characters use this against one another when they're annoyed, to the point they sometimes make up a bunch of random names to fill in the spaces in the case a character hasn't revealed their true middle or last name.
  • Future Xana uses this as well on her daughter Bonnie, AKA 'Bonita Rosabella Maeir'
• Future Me Scares Me: No one reacts well to Valka's future self, Kaine. Valka and Layton (understandably) are the most affected by this.
• Gender-Blender Name: Valka was named for a famous commander in the Resistance, which is completely normal...except the commander was male.
• Gratuitous Foreign Language: Prytariel once used 'kuirejo' ('kitchen' in Esperanto) as a battle cry.
• Gratuitous French: Played for Laughs with Valka, who often tries to yell battle cries in French, but the translations have little to do with the situation (such as 'I love you,' 'There's a ghost in the kitchen,' 'you're wearing a rainbow scarf,' and 'we're dead').
• Heart Is an Awesome Power: Kotose has powers over asteroids, which sounds weird, until an asteroid comes towards them. Thinking quickly, she uses her magic to force it into another direction and yells the trope title.
• Heel–Face Turn:
  • Tico Tems, who started out as a saboteur, only to become one of the good guys. Also arguably Xana, however she first experienced a Face–Heel Turn before this occurred.
  • Vitri Sitol, who went from being a Meepit Oaks Asylum escapee who was under partial control by Xandra, to what was considered part of the group of 'Goody Two-Shoes' at a punishment camp.
  • One of the bigger examples would have to be from Helmo Timm. She originally commanded a group of saboteurs, until all of them either left her or died. The ultimate reason that made her change sides was due to her gigantic crush on Relle Felson, who had been a good guy all along, while the Relle that worked with her was only pretending to be him.
  • The Goody Two-Shoes are, by definition, former saboteurs.
  • Leera has one of these upon realizing how evil Lor is for traumatizing Mirsha and Antola, as well as nearly driving Derlyn to suicide a bunch of times.
  • Mirsha was the first saboteur. She had a Face–Heel Turn when she invented sabotaging the Cup, only to harass her sister. Actually, she might still be a saboteur if Foltaggio didn't threaten to break off the engagement (as they were engaged when Mirsha was a saboteur) if she didn't Heel–Face Turn.
• Hey, That's My Line!: Elbin exclaims this when Montecito uses a common line of his, "What in Neopia?"
• Hiroshima as a Unit of Measure: Derlyn proposed to use a scale of how much of a Jerkass someone is by using Mirshas.
• Human Subspecies: There are two different 'generations' of genetically engineered humans. The second generation has six living members, and a major difference is more expressive clones (the past ones were practically emotionless, while Kotose at least shows some emotion). All clones in the first generation were wiped out, leaving Valka as the only living member of that subspecies.
• I'd Tell You, but Then I'd Have to Kill You: One of Vitri's original catchphrases, sometimes used as a Running Gag.
• I Have Many Names: The roleplayers even say that they should start calling Valka and Layton's Kid from the Future just 'Valka's daughter,' since she is referred to as Ria/Courtney/Etoile. However, it has been confirmed that her name will continue to be Etoile and she is beginning to be largely referred to as that.
• Invasion of the Baby Snatchers: Star Corporations is notorious for this, to the point where probably Valka's biggest concern about having a baby sister is "what if they take her, too".
• Killed Off for Real: In a roleplay known for bringing characters back from the dead, Nova's death just makes everything even more surprising.
• Last-Name Basis:
  • Mirsha often calls Prytariel by her last name.
  • Whenever Tandrak's annoyed with someone, he'll use their last name. This happens with Delma, Antola, Xana, and sometimes Zenor.
• Long-Lost Relative: Antola, Delma and Almadaira never knew about their relation as cousins until recent (Antola and Delma finding out at a family reunion a year ago, and Antola found out about Almadaira being his cousin in a family tree booklet the first day of the roleplay).
• Love Triangle: Despite Tandrak and Timu being in a relationship, both Lyvon Cibaire and Vitri Sitol are attempting to win Timu over. Tandrak is also implying one between Antola, Prytariel, and Elon however Prytariel denies any romantic attraction to either.
• MacGuffin: The Layton Vickles action figure contains fuel for the space-car. The rest should be lucky that Valka picked it up and that it just so happened to be of that specific player.
• Meaningful Rename:
  • Lysander's (AKA Tandrak's) father, Ren Shaye, was connected to Tanner of Draconia, one of the first settlers in the Darigan Citadel area.
  • After learning of her powers, Ria begins to call herself Etoile. 'Etoile' means 'star' in French.
• Mistaken for Gay:
  • Ilsa assumed before that Lyvon was 'attracted to boys', despite Lyvon's 'obsession' with trying to win Timu over.
  • Tandrak used to ship Al and Bill together before it was revealed that Al had a deceased wife named Lia and two daughters, Baelia and Valka.
• More than Mind Control: The Firebrand brainwashing can only work if the subject has inner resent. Naturally, as Stelle disliking Faerie Stars was one of her defining character traits, she easily fell into this trap.
• Murder the Hypotenuse:
  • Xana tried to murder Prytariel at one point (despite claiming she had no interest in Antola)
  • Mirsha killed 'Dirty' in the past, causing Xana to have been dating Antola since the fourth Cup, and this event to never happen.
• My Friends... and Zoidberg: There have been a few moments in which people forget that Layton is tagging along on the Star Corporations mission, leading to statements like 'the girls...and one guy.'
• Name of Cain: Kaine is a somewhat rare feminine example of this. Sure, she's a girl, and a Magical Girl at that, but that doesn't mean that she isn't evil and insane. To make matters even worse, she's also Valka's future self.
• Never Speak Ill of the Dead: After his death, many of the characters avoided mentioning how Tandrak was one of the most annoying people they knew, and often found positive things about him to mention instead.
• No Fourth Wall: Never has been one since sometime at near the beginning of the roleplay. The Author Avatar characters featured in the roleplay are practically main characters themselves!
• Noodle Incident: While we know that Mirsha and Derlyn fought before Mirsha left the team before the first Altador Cup, but why they fought, has yet to be revealed. Eventually Double Subverted, they fought because Mirsha made Derlyn's boyfriend at the time break up with her, but how that happened, isn't revealed.
• Not Evil, Just Misunderstood:
  • Tandrak, who has been accused by quite a few to being evil. He himself claims he's not evil; he's just annoying.
  • And Derlyn, who throws heavy objects at people at random. She is accused evil by quite a few people as a result.
• O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When everyone sees Kaine attacking Layton of all people, they know that things aren't going so well.
• Product Placement: In-Universe:
  • The books that Valka finds, The Vickles-Shaye Battles and Winter Solstice Sunset, are real NT series that Raven is trying to pitch. Raven even admits in-story that they're Vaporware.
  • The Melancholy of Mirsha Grelinek was a fanfiction that Ruko was trying to make, but, she has nosy parents...
• Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Antola, as part of responding to Bill's attempts to have him and everyone else surrender: "THIS. IS. UNACCEPTABLE!"
• Running Gag:
  • Every time a new character shows up, they try to find Lysander.
    New character: Whatever happened to Lysander anyway?
    Any of the major characters: They've certainly missed a lot.

• Also, Zax getting put on a leash and Mirsha noticing it. Whether or not she gets distracted by him on the leash heavily depends on the situation.
• Another Mirsha related one, she has a tendency to forget Turo's name, and Antola having to remind her. Sakura and Ciro have done this as well.
• Yet another Mirsha related one, when she overdoes the shipping, someone (usually Derlyn), takes her off-screen and gives her a Cranial Eruption.
• One of the slightly longer running gags is what the characters call 'Elbin Towsing', named after saboteur Elbin Towse's tendency to speak with an extremely loud voice (shown in the roleplay by extremely large text). Sometime after he had been killed, anyone who tried to speak as loud as him would be accused of 'pulling an Elbin Towse'. Considering how Ax-Crazy Elbin was (to the point he once happily impaled a sword through Tandrak's heart. he survived, though), it's no wonder that no one likes Elbin Towsing when the one who does so doesn't admit to it.
• Antola's puppeteer, Moogi, often throws boots at characters for many different reasons; whether to interrupt them or just to be annoying. If Tandrak is nearby, he's usually the one to get the most boots to the head.
• Whenever Derlyn decides to throw a heavy object in a random direction, Foltaggio is usually the first one considered to be hit with it. Despite this, anyone is, and has been, a potential victim to getting hit with one, including herself.
• Derlyn is most definitely not a Tsundere.
• If he is exposed to anything that surpasses the slightest of weird, Tandrak will implode (or at least resist the urge to implode).
  • Made even funnier by the fact that Alexandria is notorious for her Mind Screws
• Foltaggio has to die once a day in puppeteer time. While Moogi and Ruko think it's funny, Mirsha finds this far from funny.

• Sealed Evil in a Can: Kaine was trapped inside a mirror in Star Corporations headquarters, and she tried to convince Mark to free her. Ultilmately Subverted- Valka was actually the one in the mirror all along, making it technically a Sealed Good In A Mirror.
• Secret Identity: Tandrak, who is revealed by Vitri to actually being a missing Yooyuball star named Lysander Shaye. Beforehand, Valka points out similarities between the two.
• Secret Secret-Keeper: Not only did Vitri know that Tandrak was his cousin (which he himself didn't know), but he also knew about Lysander, Tandrak's true identity before anyone else.
• She Is Not My Girlfriend:
  • Prytariel denies this about Antola, no matter what Tandrak claims. Antola occasionally uses this towards Prytariel, however he also tends to show clear hints of affection for her.
  • Very early in the story, Valka notes that the tabloids think that she and Layton are dating and denies it. However, it turns out that was all a coverup and they were dating the whole time.
  • Later on, Prytariel says this about Rinok, usually after Mirsha claims otherwise about the two.
• Ship Sinking: In-Universe.
  • Happens to Antola/Prytariel (otherwise known as Antariel by Tandrak) when Xana successfully revives Antola with The Power of Love. Needless to say, Tandrak isn't pleased.
  • Also happens to Lyvon/Timu when he reveals that he cares more about people serving him than love.
  • To the dismay of Zax, Rinok and Prytariel barely interact at the dance. All it takes is Rose offering Terry Painter tickets, and he instantly leaves.
• Ship-to-Ship Combat: An in-universe example of this happens once in a Burger Prince fast food restaurant when Leera accidentally blurts out that Derbi had dumped Montecito, causing all the random, unnamed Neopets inside to begin a war between Monterbi shippers and various non-Monterbi shippers. Hilarity Ensues, especially once the canon characters also end up involved with the outrageous shipping war.
• Shipper on Deck:
  • Tandrak blatantly calls himself one, shipping plenty of different characters with each other, important to the story or not, however his main goal is to be this towards Antola/Prytariel.
  • Mirsha is one for Rintariel. (Rinok/Prytariel) She'll take almost anything that Prytariel says and interprets it as if she is in love with him.
• Smarter Than You Look: Due to her ADHD, Mirsha is often considered stupid. She's one of the smartest characters in this roleplay.
• Spin-Off: In-Universe. Raven has announced that The Vickles-Shaye Battles will be largely a spin-off about evil Tandrak's sabotage scheme and will also explain how Valka and Layton (the only couple without a thoroughly explained relationship backstory) got together.
• Split-Personality Merge: Valeria agrees to this once she learns that the only way to save Valka is to merge with her.
• Stalker with a Crush: Xana, at one point towards Antola before they started to be shipped together due to The Power of Love. Later erased through a Cosmic Retcon, which made Xana never stalk Antola to begin with.
• Strong Family Resemblance: It's implied that Antola almost completely resembles his dad, Jaden, to the point that Jaden was cornered by a bunch of saboteurs, who all believed they were about to kill Antola.
• Take That!:
  • How do we know that Valka's being brainwashed? Monday is stuck in her head.
  • Raven also uses multiple Take Thats to the past roleplay she was in. For instance, she specifically tells Layton not to go flirting with any ninjas and not wait three months to save Valka. This is exactly what happened in the other roleplay.
• Talking Animal: Although everyone in the roleplay could all be considered this, Iago. In Neopia, Petpets usually don't have the ability to speak (like an actual pet), while Neopets can talk and do things like a human can. Subverted by Antola the Feepit; although he's a Petpet, he's still mentally a Neopet.
• The Cloudcuckoolander Was Right: In a sequence in the future, Queen Baelia thinks that Star Corporations has a mirror for changing personalities, since moonlight is reflected sunlight. Later...this is exactly what the magical girls find.
• The Not-Love Interest: Prytariel; throughout the RP she interacts quite a lot with Antola. Leads to Tandrak believing they should get together, however Prytariel denies any romantic tension between them.
• They Called Me Mad!: Vitri Sitol (or in this case, Vitri Sitol from an Alternate Universe), who was thrown in Meepit Oaks Asylum (an insane asylum) for believing in a non-existent place called Jelly World, and... simply being crazy in the first place. Although, it is debatable as to whether he truly was evil and crazy, as it turned out he was being controlled by Xandra from The Faeries' Ruin.
• Thing-O-Meter:
  • The morbid-o-meter.
  • The annoying-o-meter.
• This Looks Like a Job for Aquaman: When nothing is working and Kotose is there, it's almost a given that she'll be able to solve things with her asteroid powers.
• Took a Level in Badass:
  • More like a MILLION levels in badass for Bill. He started off as a fairly nice guy, until revealing later on he was on the bad side. Cue him trying to destroy the entire city of Altador with clockwork and atomic Yooyus and potentially not caring about who dies.
  • Mirsha also took quite a few levels in badass when she told her sister off before the first Altador Cup.
    "So, I called her a huge pile of dung (actually, it was much worse), and I stormed off."

    - Mirsha, telling Antola about how she got estranged from Derlyn.
• Unwanted Harem: Tandrak is getting this way. Though he's in love with Timu, there was an instance where a girl even asked him out while he was asleep.
• Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Valka is a relatively nice character, but when Layton dies in the future, she changes her name to Kaine and becomes one of the story's darkest villains.
• Violently Protective Girlfriend:
  • Lyvon got a double attack from Timu and Valka after insulting the earlier's boyfriend, and putting the other's in mortal danger.
  • If you mess with Elbin Kroe in any way, shape or form, it doesn't matter how far away or how injured she is; Fenny will whack you with her baseball bat. The worst victim to this would have to be Montecito; Fenny's baseball whacking against him in any place is almost a daily routine for the poor guy.
• Wham Episode:
  • When 'Dirty' was revealed to have killed Xana's family when she was younger.
  • Kaine, the resident Sealed Evil in a Can, was never actually sealed in the first place. The one who got sealed all along was Valka, victim to a "Freaky Friday" Flip.
  • It was revealed that Mirsha's Start of Darkness was more or less caused by Derlyn calling Mirsha a jiyeon.
• Wham Line:
  • Three words: Shut it, Lysander.
  • Mirsha tells Antola and Xana that she's married to Foltaggio.
  • Derlyn's only motive for most things was to get closer to her mother. When she feels that she was never appreciated by her, she calls her out on it in a very shocking manner too.
  • Just this...
    Kaine: Sure, my name now may be Kaine Sparks, but it wasn't always. Before the accident, the name I was called, the name I was last known by...was Valka Vickles...
  • And this:
    "I have a feeling that if you didn't throw that toy at me and made me afraid of Darigans for a while, and made me afraid of having stuff thrown at me (yes, I know that's ironic), which caused me to not rescue Mirsha, in fear of having the sports balls thrown at me, until it was too late, causing Mirsha to develop a few phobias, causing her to not rescue me when I was drowning about a year afterwards, because she was afraid of water herself. You really screwed up, and Ruko isn't going to let you fix that."

    —Derlyn, informing Tandrak about what his actions (he threw a toy at a younger Derlyn, traumatizing her) did to pretty much traumatize her and Mirsha.
• What Measure Is a Non-Human?: The clones in this roleplay are continuously treated horribly by Hassow, the leader of Star Corporations. As a matter of fact, he doesn't even care if Kotose, one of the seven magical girls, dies, just because he thinks she's expendable.
• What the Hell, Hero?: Almadaira has a truly awesome one after Layton thinks Valka has cheated on him:
  Almadaira: Well, maybe for the fact VALKA IS LYING ON THE FLOOR CRYING BECAUSE YOU THINK SHE CHEATED ON LYVON AND ARE BEING A TOTAL JERK ABOUT IT!!!! This is why I never liked Darigans!
  • Everyone calls Derlyn out on calling Mirsha a jiyeon and refusing to apologize for it.
• Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?:
  • Stelle is scared to death of the Faerie Stars, Star Corporations' very own Quirky Miniboss Squad, apparently because they fight so hard that they gave her scars (and that was only in training).
  • Derlyn is, to be specific, afraid of drowning, but still has a general fear of water.
• You Killed My Father: Exaggerated with Xana's family being killed by 'Dirty' Navers, who killed Xana's entire family when she was younger. She eventually killed him, for now.
