Yoona (Creator)

Im Yoon-ah (Hangul: 임윤아 — born May 30, 1990 in Yeongdeungpo Destrict, Seoul, South Korea), known professionally as Yoona is a South Korean singer, actress, model, and philanthropist. She first came to prominence as a member of the highly popular and influential Korean girl group Girls' Generation.

Like many other members of Girls' Generation, Yoona has released solo music, although her discography is relatively small, consisting of a handful of EPs and singles. She instead focused more on acting, and is now often considered to be among the top idol actresses in South Korea, winning dozens of awards for her work. She made her acting debut through several minor roles in 2007, the same year as the formation of Girls' Generation, and landed her first leading role a year later in the television drama You Are My Destiny. She graduated from Dongguk University in 2015 with a major in theater studies.

Yoona's modeling career has also been extremely successful, as she is one of Korea's most in-demand commercial models. She is often praised for her looks, often ranking at or near the top of polls regarding the most beautiful K-pop idols. Notably, she has ranked number one in an annual poll among idols themselves five times. Her popularity earned her the nickname "The Nation's Ideal Type."

Outside of her career, Yoona is highly involved in charity. She has been recognized by the South Korean government for her philanthropy, including being invited to luncheons at the Blue Housenote  twice.

Yoona posts vlogs and behind the scenes content on her YouTube channel Yoona's So Wonderful Day.
