William Joseph Schallert (July 6, 1922 - May 8, 2016) was an American character actor best known for Innerspace (1987), In the Heat of the Night (1967), and The Patty Duke Show (1963-1966).
He was married to Leah Waggner and they had four children.
Schallert died in 2016 at the age of 93.
