Studio DEEN (スタジオディーン) is one of the oldest active anime studios and was established in 1975 by members of Sunrise. This has led to collaboration between the two companies in their works and to this day Studio DEEN can be found in the credit listing of Sunrise anime. They are one of the more prolific anime studios and as a result often have budget constraints.
They also own a studio in Suzhou, China called Danni Animation (丹尼動画), and before 2016, had a digital subsidiary named Megumi (め組).
A full list of their projects can be seen Anime News Network.

Tropes found in Studio DEEN's work:
- Animated Adaptation: Almost all of their credits (be it as the main studio or just as support) consist of these.
- Animation Bump: Occasionally, like all studios. But especially in their films.
- Fanservice: Amaenaideyo, Mouse, some scenes in Ranma 1/2.
- Lazy Artist/Unreliable Illustrator: Pretty much all of their shows have it to some degree, much to the ire of anime fans:
- Knight Hunters is generally considered one of the studio's worst-animated shows, which is only exacerbated by it being a co-production with another studio noted for slipshod animation quality.
- Ginga Densetsu Weed's amount of Off-Model is practically legendary among the fandom.
- Painfully obvious in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Observe.
- The Off-Model qualities of their anime adaptations of visual novels (Fate/stay night and When They Cry being the most well-known) and Manga are often decried by fans of the original, although the overall quality of the adaptations themselves is up for debate.
- To wit, You're Under Arrest! and Ranma ˝ both sway between animation quality often, sometimes within a single episode.
- Konosuba's adaptation plays with this and uses their regular faults in artistic quality as an aid to the show's more comedic moments while also having genuine moments of off-looking artwork in others.
- The Rick & Morty short is also guilty of this, a result of trying to translate the show's style from 2D into 3D.
- Production Posse: With Echo, their Korean subsidiary. They've also used Nakamura Productions and Studio Twinkle on several productions.
- Shin-Ei Animation had used them for much of their work between the early 80's and early 90's.
- Playing Against Type: Their work on Neo Yokio, Road Rovers and Rick & Morty are about the only non-anime productions the company has been involved in.
- Start My Own: The studio was founded in 1975 by former members of Sunrise.
- Yuri: Maria Watches Over Us and Sakura Trick.
