Serena Clerici (born December 27th, 1971) is an Italian voice actress.

Among her many roles, she also voiced May (Vera in the Italian dub) from Pokémon: The Series. She has a natural Child-Like Voice in real life, and is often cast as anime little girls or cute characters in general.

Some of her voice acting roles include:

Anime

Live-Action TV

Video Games

Western Animation

Her works provide examples of:

  • Child-Like Voice: In her case, it's not a voice acting technique, it's her real voice, which is perfect for animated little girls.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: She has a very high-pitched, almost childish voice that sounds weird in real life, and used to be ashamed of it. When she started to work as a voice actress in animation, voicing young girls was just natural for her, as she didn't need to change her voice at all.
  • invokedStar-Making Role: Aiko, one of the protagonists from Ojamajo Doremi. From that point on, she has been a prolific voice actress with several other prominent roles in animation.
