Robert Barry Symonds (December 1, 1926 – August 31, 2007) was an American actor. He was the associate director of the Repertory Theatre of Lincoln Center in New York City from 1965-72, beginning his screen acting career in earnest after stepping down from the post. He was best known for The Exorcist, ...And Justice for All, and Catch Me If You Can.

Symonds was married twice, to Elizabeth Kaderli and Priscilla Pointer. He had three children with Kaderli and was stepfather to Pointer’s three children with Jules Irving, including actress Amy Irving. He died of prostate cancer at age 80.
