Philip Michael Thomas (born May 26, 1949) is a retired American actor and musician best known for Miami Vice (1984-1989), Sparkle (1976), and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (2006).
He was married to Kassandra Green and has 11 children, five with Green and six from other relationships.
He also coined the acronym EGOT in The '80s when, at the height of his career, he expressed his desire to win all four major American showbiz awards in five years. He's never been nominated for any of them.
