- Abusive Parent: Niles's mom has a short temper and beats him with a belt whenever he does something wrong, no matter how minuscule.
- Disproportionate Retribution:
- Niles's mom will find any excuse to beat her son. She even takes her anger out on other people and beats them when Niles disappears on her successfully.
- Fragile Speedster: In "How Fights Get Started" Niles easily dodges most of B-Nard's blows and knocks B-Nard down with a flurry of punches, but when B-Nard finally lands a punch on Niles he knocks him out cold.
- Hilariously Abusive Childhood: Subverted since Niles is a young adult that still gets beatings from his mom, but the frequency and reasons for the beatings are usually played for laughs. It helps that his mom is very obviously just Niles in drag.
- Mama Bear:
- In "How Fights Get Started", Niles's mom goes after his friends when she catches them beating up her son.
- "WILL A MAN ROB GOD" has Niles' mom come to his rescue again after the local priest forces his way into their home for tithes and offerings, beating the priest unconscious. Subverted when she actually agrees with the priest that Niles' 5$ donation wasn't enough, thinking she raised him better than that and prepares to give Niles a beating as well.
- N-Word Privileges: The N-word is dropped a few times in his videos.
- The Lancer: Niles' best friend B-Nard.
- Pet the Dog: In "How Fights Get Started", after Niles gets knocked out by B-Nard, Niles' mom shows up and chases B-Nard and his other friends away with her belt instead of beating Niles like she usually does.
- In "Y'ALL GOTTA GO" Niles gets in an argument with his friends over a game of Uno when someone suddenly starts banging the door. Niles, fearing another beating from his mom because he's "not even supposed to have company" tries to shove his friends out the back door before she comes in, but fails when she gets in and questions why they're leaving. You'd expect her to flip out, but turns out she actually brought pizza and cake for Niles and his friends to enjoy. Cue them all spontaneously dancing happily.
- Running Gag: Niles' getting beat by his mom, and him disappearing.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Niles has the ability to disappear from any given situation by throwing up the peace sign. How he got this power is explored in Disappearing The Origin.
- In "When your mom keeps nagging you" B-Nard and another one of Niles' friends try to stop Niles from beating his mom to death only to be quickly overwhelmed. B-Nard jets it out of there as Niles starts beating on the other friend when he realizes that Niles' Roaring Rampage of Revenge won't be stopped and he'd be next.
- Shout-Out:
- In "I LIKE TO CHA CHA" Nile's friend Lean shouts "FRIEZA!!!" and "Give me some of your energy!"
- "Phone call home" has B-nard wearing a Naruto headband and quoting a line from Spongebob Squarepants
- Sinister Minister: "WILL A MAN ROB GOD" has Niles' local priest come knocking on his door and shaking Niles down for tithes, eventually forcing his way into Niles' home. Thankfully Niles' mom was around and after a brief struggle, she beats the priest into submission.
- Spontaneous Choreography: A few vids has Niles and his friends/mom randomly breaking into dance to indie hip-hop music.
- The Dog Bites Back: In "When your mom keeps nagging you" Niles' mom tells him to clean the dishes so Niles tries to show her that he already did them, only to see his mom holding a bunch of new dishes for him to wash. After a few seconds of silence, Niles suddenly and viciously assaults his mom, beating her (and one of his friends who tried to stop him) unconscious.
