Creator / Nia DaCosta

Nia DaCosta (born 1989 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American filmmaker. Her first film, Little Woods, was selected by the Sundance Institute for its screenwriters lab, then funded over Kickstarter as a short before developing into a feature film.

Following her first success, DaCosta was tapped to direct Candyman (2021), the sequel to the 1992 horror film. Her next project was The Marvels for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
