
Michel Hazanavicius (born 29 March 1967) is a French film director, producer, screenwriter and actor of Polish Jewish descent.
He is mostly known internationally for directing The Artist, which earned several awards at the 84th Academy Awards, and for the modern Spy Fiction parody film series OSS 117 in France.
He's married to French-Argentine actress Bérénice Bejo, and has cast her several times.
