Mary Beth Hurt (born Mary Beth Supinger; September 25, 1946 in Marshalltown, Iowa) is an American actress. She is best known for Chilly Scenes of Winter, Affliction, and The Dead Girl.
Hurt was babysat by Jean Seberg when she was a child. She was married for 11 years to actor William Hurt and is currently married to writer and director Paul Schrader, with whom she has two children.
