Margaret Ann "Marlo" Thomas (born November 21, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American actress, producer, author and activist.
While she's best known for portraying the role of aspiring actress Ann Marie in the 1966–71 sitcom That Girl, she has appeared in many other series and films throughout the years. She won a Golden Globe Award for That Girl and an Emmy Award for her role as a mental hospital patient in the 1986 Made-for-TV Movie Nobody's Child.
The daughter of the late actor and comedian Danny Thomas, she was also the goddaughter of actress Loretta Young and has been Happily Married to former talk show host Phil Donahue since 1980. In addition to her work in the entertainment field, she serves as National Outreach Director for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (which her father founded), and along with Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan has been a pioneer in feminism and women's rights since the '60s and co-founded the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1972.

- Assuming the Audience's Age: In her 1972 children's album Free to Be... You and Me, two of the sketches involve a character named Dudley Pippin, who is stated to be "about your age, or maybe a little older". The album was aimed at kids about six years old, and while Dudley's own age is never stated, it's clear he's about that old, too.
