Izzo became known for her roles in Aftershock and The Green Inferno, meeting Eli Roth on the set of the former, who she then married. However, they later divorced. Izzo has come out since as pansexual in an interview with her friend (and fellow pansexual) Emily Hampshire, a Canadian actress, saying Hampshire's scene in Schitt's Creek discussing pansexuality made Izzo discover this about herself. Izzo married director and writer Sophie Tabet in March 2023.
