Kristine Kathryn Rusch is an American author born in 1960; she's married to fellow author Dean Wesley Smith. She's a prolific author who writes in many different genres under a variety of pseudonyms. She largely writes science fiction and fantasy under her actual name, but publishes also in the genres of mystery, romance and mainstream under other names.
She was also the editor of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction for many years.
