Tropes associated with Nakashima:

  • Birds of a Feather: With Director Hiroyuki Imaishi. The two first worked together on one episode of Re: Cutie Honey. Imaishi recalled the two of them have a vastly similar creative process, leading to his urge of wanting to work with Nakashima in his future works.
  • Info Dump: Most likely derived from working mainly as a playwright with time and stage limits, affirmed by the directors and actors he worked with, Nakashima loves to dump loads and loads of expositions into his works. Director Imaishi notes he’s not fond of them, and would have some characters drowse over them if he could (in a fun way).
