Joe Santos (born Joseph John Minieri Jr.; June 9, 1931 – March 18, 2016) was an American actor. He was best known for The Friends of Eddie Coyle, The Rockford Files, and The Last Boy Scout.
While Santos was not actually Latino, he took the last name of his stepfather, Puerto Rican singer Daniel Santos, after Joe’s mother Rose remarried. His cousin, Joseph W. Sarno was a noted “sexploitation” director in whose films he made early appearances. He was married to Mary Montero, with whom he had three children. He died after a heart attack at the age of 84.
