You Can Play This! was an Internet review show formerly on Channel Awesome by Justin Carmical, a.k.a. JewWario. It focused on Japanese import games which, as the title of the show suggests, can be played by people who can't speak Japanese. Justin reviewed the games and gave the audience hints how to play successfully.

He also had a regular live stream every Friday on which he often had producers from TGWTG as guests as well as PatTheNESPunk.

Justin had left TGWTG around February 15, 2013. He continued to make content for YouTube and his own site. Around then he'd been doing a lot of cooking videos of mostly Asian cuisine (You Can Cook This), and had cited in one of his livestreams that both he and the staff of TGWTG agreed that the viewers of Channel Awesome were not the target audience for this. He since also produced shows on barcode scanning games (Scan This!) and import gaming news segments (The Pipeline). He had since then joined up with Retroware.TV meaning he was once again colleagues with Pushing Up Roses.

Tragically, however, on January 23, 2014, Justin committed suicide. He was missed by family, friends, and fans alike.

In Spring 2018, allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual crimes arose from his time at the channel, revealing the cause of his split with Channel Awesome.

One of his last projects, Farewell, FamiKamen Rider, was completed by MarzGurl as a tribute.

This show contained the following tropes:

  • As Long as There Is Evil: The Evil in the WA☆RI☆ON Saga
  • Author Appeal: Cat Girls.
  • Badass Longcoat: As worn by Yanki J.
  • Berserk Button: Don't even think about mentioning River Song from Doctor Who. The reaction ain't pretty.
  • The Cameo: Did quite a few, often with other Channel Awesome contributors. He also offered Marc Mues a rhyme in his Worst 6 Pop Songs of 2011 video.
  • Characterization Marches On: Yanki J started out as pretty badass, but as he developed as a character, he became more of a Miles Gloriosus Lovable Coward.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: In crossovers he tended to be the oddest of the group, prone to cross dressing or randomly stating that he likes pudding.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Mario Monologues.
  • Combined Energy Attack: The conclusion of the WA☆RI☆ON Saga: Jew Wario has his fans give him their positive energy, giving him — and Yanki J. — the power to defeat the evil.
  • Creepy Doll: Justin was scared witless of dolls, as evidenced in his J-Dub in the Dark playthroughs of Fatal Frame. He claimed on a livestream that this is because a family member of his has an extensive collection of some really freaky-looking dolls.
  • Crossover:
  • Delinquent: Yanki J. was one when he was younger, and still dressed like one.
  • Discard and Draw: The NegaDub drains the WA☆RI☆ON powers from Justin ending the legacy of the WA☆RI☆ON... but then Justin gets the improved Rider belt (in the form of a portable Famicom system) and becomes the Famikamen Rider.
  • Drop-In Character: Yanki J.
  • The Everyman: Mario in his Mario Monologues.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The Evil from the WA☆RI☆ON Saga...is the embodiment of evil and gets power from it.
  • Fanboy: Of oh so many things.
    • He was a brony, and Fluttershy was his favorite.
    • Doctor Who, particularly the classic years. He's made it well-known that he loves the late Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith.
    • He adored Kamen Rider, which eventually led to the creation of his Famikamen Rider character. There wasn't a weekly stream that went by where it's not mentioned at least once.
    • JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. In his review for the Ougen No Kaze PS2 game, he talks about how he got the SNES game (invokedthat was never released outside of Japan) the day it came out, and got both the Japanese and American releases of the fighting game for both the PS1 and Dreamcast. And he had been reading the series since 1987, long before anyone stateside had even heard of the series.
  • Fanservice: Every time he was Jareth. The ladies from his Labyrinth game review and from the Massively Multiplayer Crossover Suburban Knights just adored him. It's even gotten him fangirls.
    • For Cosplay fans, his wife as Grace
  • The Ghost: Anyone other than Mario in the Mario Monologues.
  • Ghost Memory: JDub carried the memories and personalities of his Warion predecessors in his mind. Or at least, he did until the NegaDub killed him and drained him of his powers.
  • Gagging on Your Words: In the pop'n music review.
A lot of you have asked why I don't review bad video games. Well, I'm going to. Right now.
You see, in 2008, XBox 360 put out a thing called... Beat'n... (starts to gag) Hold on...
It was called Beat'n Grrrwuh... hold on hold on... hold on. (takes a drink of soda)
It was called Beat'n.... Groovy. And wow, is it bad!
  • Heh Heh, You Said "X": J-Dub said this often, usually about the entirely wrong thing.
  • Hostile Show Takeover: Yanki J. ties up Jew Wario and takes over his Nekketsu! Street Basket review.
    • The NegaDub tries this as well — and fails.
  • Hypocritical Humor: He chastised MikeJ for thinking Jews have superpowers and later hits him with a cyber punch.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Mario in the "Mario Monologues".
    • Yanki also qualifies. He may have treated JewWario like crap, beating him up on a regular basis and stealing his things, but deep down he truly cared about him.
  • Keet: Although not as much as Benzaie, Justin was quite excitable.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: He often Squeed over KITTY! He admitted in an interview that while he didn't actually consider himself an "animal person", he didn't mind playing the part for his videos.
  • The Lancer: Yanki J. He was usually sarcastic, and can sometimes be downright obnoxious, in contrast to Jew Wario's niceness.
  • Mind Rape: The Evil does this to Justin by gradually draining his memories (and those of the previous Warion).
  • Mr. Fanservice: Justin had posted crossdressing photos, read porny fanfic in a sexy voice and had dressed up like Jareth.
  • Myth Arc: The WA☆RI☆ON Saga.
  • Offhand Backhand: Jew Wario's wife delivers one when he teases her with "not touching you!"
  • Psycho Sidekick: Yanki J.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Justin proudly (and frequently) sported a pair of badass pink Converse sneakers. In spring 2012, he sold the pair he wore in both Kickassia and Suburban Knights on eBay. Today, those shoes are owned by Katie Dunne, aka Kitty Marie, who is considered to be Justin's biggest fan (see Heartwarming page for more on her).
    • Yanki J would take time out from discussing hitting someone with a baseball bat to mention his love of enka music.
  • Refusal of the Call: In the WA☆RI☆ON Saga, Yanki J. refused the position, so it was passed on to Jew Wario.
  • The Rival: In the Mario Monologues, Wario. Fucker owes him five bucks!
  • Running Gag: KITTY!
  • Shared Universe: Since he was part of Channel Awesome and participated in its anniversary specials, he was automatically part of the Reviewaverse.
  • Shout-Out: One of his intros is a reference to Kamen Rider BLACK RX's Transformation Sequence, using the music from RX's appearance in Kamen Rider Decade.
    • Death of the Warion Part 2 opens with JewWario coming back to life and the Big Bad quoting Niska from Firefly : "When you die, I can't hurt you anymore, and I want two days at least. Minimum."
  • Special Effects Failure:invoked Parodied in the Pepsiman review, where JewWario does a ludicrously bad split-screen with himself and FamiKamen Rider. Which is followed by Yanki J complaining about the quality, to which J-Dub responds that he's never had to do a split-screen effect before. Said during a nearly flawless split-screen.
  • Squee: His enthusiasm playing GoLion, aka Voltron, in Super Robot Wars W.
    • Kitty!
    • And when he gets a W Driver toy.
    • Classic Doctor Who episodes—and especially reunions with "old friends" from the classic show in the new series.
  • Tsundere: His wife seems to invoke this in some of her appearances in his videos. There was the time she hit him every time he started spacing out because of Konami Lady, and another when she hit J.Wario's face when he started to annoy her with a "Not touching you!" routine.
  • Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny: Scan This! has a segment dedicated to this courtesy of Barcode Battler. To date Edward Cullen (as the barcode of the novel Twilight) reigns supreme, though.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Jew Wario's wife enters his basement, sees him, Yanki J and NegaDub, and doesn't bat an eyelash.
  • Wham Episode: Part 1 of "Death of a Warion", which ends with Justin coming downstairs and being being fatally stabbed in the stomach by the NegaDub. The final scene shows Justin dying on his basement floor.
  • World of Weirdness: The Reviewaverse. Pretty obvious considering JewWario is a superpowered tokusatsu-style superhero with a video game theme.
  • You Are Not Alone / You Are Better Than You Think You Are:
"I want you all to look at me. Because what I’m about to say is important. I’ve been thinking about this a lot; a lot lately. And I want you all to know this. This goes out to everybody. You’re not stupid. Okay? You’re not stupid. Don’t ever tell yourself that you are. You’re important. What you have in your head may not mean a lot to a lot of people, but its what makes you special. You are important. You mean something. And you’re going to go out there, and you’re gonna to do some wonderful things. But, first and foremost, you’re not stupid. You’re not an idiot. Don’t ever tell yourself that you are. And, if nobody else ever tells you this, I will tell you this; I care about you."
  • Your Princess Is in Another Castle!: Jew Wario and Yanki defeat the Evil....but it turns out it was Yanki's Evil. The Evil Jew Wario must face has yet to come.
    • And it now has come, in the form of the NegaDub.
