Jeanette Nolan (December 30, 1911 – June 5, 1998) was an American stage and screen actress.

Nolan began as a stage actress at the Pasadena Playhouse in her native California. She subsequently became a member of Orson Welles’s Mercury Theatre. In the 1940s she stepped away from acting to raise a family. In 1948 Welles convinced her to make her screen debut in his Republic Pictures adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, playing the co-lead role of Lady Macbeth. She went on to a 50-year career in film and television, playing significant roles in The Big Heat, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and The Horse Whisperer, among others.

Married to fellow actor John McIntire, Nolan had two children: actor Tim McIntire and photographer/actress Holly Wright. She died after a stroke at the age of 86.
